Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Galena

Stayed here for a sisters weekend- and it was great for 6 sisters between the ages of 60-75. Two bedrooms on main floor and 2 downstairs worked great for us. Things were a little dated- but hey- so are we. We had a couple of issues that needed attn and James was most attentive and took care of them immediately. I would recommend. Great value for 6 women with varying needs! Especially loved the hot tub in the natural surroundings!!!

Brian and Jonny were very responsive and communicative from beginning to end. It was a last minute trip and we were lucky to find a pet friendly place during the start of the summer season. The house was clean, cozy and close to walking trails. Although we did not take advantage of the outdoor grill or hot tub (they have a wood burning fireplace for the winter), we enjoyed the screened in porch and open concept layout of the house, as pictured in the profile. The house is situated between two other houses blocked somewhat by the trees. I would describe as semi-private where we could see their back patio/hot tub/fire pit and vice versa. But whatever your personal comfort level, you can’t beat the proximity to trails, Owners Club, and easy access to Hwy 20 to Galena! We enjoyed our stay and exploring!

Had a great time visiting with family. Comfortably fit 6 adults and one child. Stars were beautiful and fun watching the hot air balloons from the porch.

Wonderful home to enjoy for our family getaway! The house is beautifully decorated and truly feels like a treehouse with huge windows surrounded by woods. Every need was thought out…we enjoyed comfy beds, the smokeless firepit, games and puzzles, and a brand new hot tub! Truly a great place to chillax and the hosts were so quick to reply and helpful. Lots to do around Galena but we mostly enjoyed hanging at the house. ❤️

Michelle’s home was wonderful. The location is very serene and the house was exceptionally clean and well equipped for a relaxing stay. The house has bedrooms and bathrooms on all three levels, along with a screened in porch, multiple decks, and two fireplaces, with easy access (no stairs) to the main entry. Seating throughout the home is invitingly cozy and comfortable. There was a welcome basket of treats in the kitchen, such a nice touch. We really enjoyed our time at this lovely home.

We had a great stay at the cabin for my brother’s bachelor party weekend. We played 2 golf courses, ate at one of the resort restaurants, and went downtown for dinner one night. It’s a 2 minute drive to the courses and 10 minutes to downtown. Great location that sat on one of the par 4s.

Perfect stay for our girls’ getaway! We stayed here to celebrate our bride-to-be, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The place was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was amazing—just a short distance from the shops in Galena, which made exploring so easy. It was the perfect spot to relax, enjoy time together, and make special memories. Highly recommend for any group looking for a charming and convenient stay!!

Joel’s place was absolutely beautiful! It was secluded and peaceful but also very close to down town. I loved drinking my coffee outside in the mornings it was so peaceful! I’d recommend Joel’s air bnb to anyone wanting to travel to galena. I’d go back in a heartbeat! Joel was a great host. He gave us all the information and checked In on us throughout our stay. We had a great time!

This was my fourth time staying at Sandys and each time is just as enjoyable as the last. Her new wallpaper in the kitchen, bedrooms, and master bath are beautiful. She has a real knack for decor. She's always super helpful, kind, and her breakfasts dont disappoint! If you're looking to relax in a peaceful setting, but still be close to downtown Galena, this is THE place to stay.

We were in town for our granddaughter ‘s high school graduation. This was a wonderful place to stay with immediate family. Lots of room for extended family to get together, have some pizza and catch up. We went to Dubuque’s awesome Farmers Market, walked the river walk, Fourth Street elevator and ate great food in nearby restaurants. Nate was very responsive to questions we had and provided great instructions for checking in. This home has very unique architecture and great outdoor living space. Everyone said they hoped this place is still available in three years when the next grandkid graduates 😊

Our stay was wonderful. We wanted to stay in town, but not at a B&B. s Jack's place was perfect and he couldn't have been friendlier. Great location, true to the pictures, precise instructions to get in. The window cleaners set off the fire alarm in the building and he was quick to reach out to us with an apology. Jack recently acquired this building and gave us a tour of the other units and common area he's rehabbing. He has kept the historical touches and lined the walls in the building with photographs taken by his mother. Complimentary coffee is offered from his coffee shop downstairs, and the employee couldn't be friendlier. It's been a while since we've been to Galena, and we'll definitely be back soon and staying here!

Drake Place Loft was a great getaway. Clean, quiet, peaceful. No pet or smoke smells. Location above coffee shop makes breakfast very convenient. We plan to be back. 💯

This condo is perfect for a little getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, and utensils. The bed was comfortable! The jet tub was relaxing and perfect for 2 people! Downfall is that the shower head is VERY small and there’s a weird clunking behind the toilet, in the plumbing.

This was one of the quaintest places we have stayed in Wisconsin. We didn’t want to leave! Everything was just beautiful. We were able to walk to all of the shops and restaurants on Water St. Even had a wonderful conversation with your daughter. We will definitely be returning! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience staying in Schullsburg.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay. The space was abundant for 2 people. We appreciated having the well-furnished kitchen, but ultimately didn't use a lot due to the variety of dining out options in the Dubuque area. The bedroom amenities were comfortable for peaceful nights sleep. Plenty of hot water for morning showers. We found the location easy to get to and from different attractions in the area. Linsy was very responsive to our questions. We liked the pizza and coffee from the establishments just down the street. We'll look at staying here again in the future.

We had a lovely stay at Albert’s Glen while passing through Galena on our way to St. Louis. I scored a few bonus points with my husband when he found out we’d be staying in a historc brewery—with a sauna. The space is full of charm and thoughtfully designed touches that made me feel at home. The bed was comfy (especially if you like a firm mattress, like I do), and the water was hot—just what we needed after a long day of motorcycle riding. It’s a short and pleasant walk to downtown, where we enjoyed dinner on the terrazza at Vinny Vanucchi’s and breakfast at Otto’s. Next time we’re in Galena, we’ll be sure to stay longer so we can explore more—and hopefully catch Sandra’s Sunday breakfast!

The place was good, and maintained well for how old the property is the hosts have done a good job.

Great place, would stay again for sure. The location is nice- quiet and private and about a 12-minute drive from downtown Galena. It was clean and cozy, the beds were comfy and host communication was timely and clear. Check out to do list was very reasonable and simple. There’s a working wood fireplace and plenty of wood for guest use which is such a nice bonus and walking trails are close and accessible. We didn’t have time to check out the clubhouse facilities but instructions and access seemed easy and straightforward.

Thank you Matthew for the great place for our filmmakers to stay that were attending the Julien Dubuque International Film Festival. They loved it!

Dana’s place was our home away from home while we explored the Galena territory. The home was beautifully decorated and maintained. It looked just like the pictures. She was so proactive in communicating and responding. I would say that she is the best host we have had through Airbnb. I would highly recommend staying at her home if you are going to Galena. Thank you Dana!! We had a wonderful time.

Great people. We had a swift check-in and were welcomed by a beautiful space that provides absolute privacy. Could have been better if it was warm so you can enjoy the enormous space around the property. Can be suitable for retreats, intimate wedding venue.

The place was amazing in almost every way. The only one thing that was odd as it said it sleeps 4, but there was only one bed with sheets and blankets. On the couch bed, we had to contact housekeeping to get sheets and there were not any blankets for it. We did find extra pillows in the apartment though. Otherwise the place was wonderful, very cozy, clean, and comfortable. We loved it. It was a nice and quiet place to stay. The club amenities were awesome to have too.

Beautiful historical property. Spacious and the perfect setting for our girls weekend. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely return.
