Loft with Outdoor Courtyard and Hot Tub in Omaha

HannahRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I really enjoyed staying in this tiny home! The full kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals during our week-long stay. The family in the main house was very kind when we spoke in the shared outdoor space. Parking was free and easy. This neighborhood in Omaha is a quick drive to grocery stores, parks, restaurants, downtown and everything else we needed. One note - though the bed itself was very comfy, I would recommend bringing your own pillows if you can and are picky about your sleep setup. The provided pillows for the bed were very thin and felt unsupportive even when stacked. Maybe they'd be someone else's jam, but they didn't work well for us. Other than that, we had a really smooth experience. I'd definitely stay again!

Lux Mini-Mansion•KING BEDS+Hot Tub+Firepit+Garden

BrianRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Patricia was a fantastic host, informative, helpful, attentive to our needs, quick to respond. Based on that alone, we would visit again. The house was immaculate. Personal, a great space, well stocked and very welcoming. It met our every need. My family loved the living spaces and I appreciated the zen garden and hot tub. We enjoyed walks, game times, videos, sleeping in, cooking, hanging in the hot tub and visiting the zoo. So many new memories to accompany our past memories of Omaha. Thank you, Patricia and team, for a lovely stay!

Great location for conference events. The convention center was a 20min walk for me. Lots of things to do that are very close. Nice open concept floor plan. Will definitely book again if available as the conference I attended is usually every other year in Omaha. Also the hosts were excellent!

Your guide to Omaha

All About Omaha

The sprawling city of Omaha, which sits along the Missouri River in the state of Nebraska, is best explored through its 3,000-foot-long bridge, the cobblestone streets of the city’s historic district, or the downtown sculpture park that is the largest installation of metalwork of its kind in the country. Greenbelts mesh with the cityscape in this Midwest metropolis.

The modern Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge spans the Missouri River, connecting the state of Nebraska to Iowa and offering views of the city and access to over 150 miles of nature trails. The city has a history dating back to 1854, which is reflected in the larger-than-life bronze sculptures in Pioneer Courage Park that portray the journey of four pioneer families. The sculpture park isn’t the only attraction in the heart of Omaha. This area of town is also home to the Old Market neighborhood, whose converted 19th-century red-brick warehouses now house shops, galleries, and restaurants.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Omaha

Omaha has four distinct seasons. Summers are hot and humid, with frequent thunderstorms; winters are cold, with plenty of snow. The most comfortable time to visit the city is around May and June and September and October when temperatures are more moderate.

As the largest city in Nebraska, Omaha hosts a number of events throughout the year. One of the biggest college baseball championships takes place over 10 days in June, with baseball games and live music. In September, the Fort Omaha Intertribal Powwow celebrates the local Native American culture with music and dancing. If you come to the city in the summer, you can experience Jazz on the Green, which hosts concerts on Thursdays in Turner Park, while on Fridays a free concert series offers live music in the plaza by the Bob Kerrey bridge.

Consecrated in 1959 and on the National Register of Historic Places, the two towers of the Roman Catholic cathedral of St. Cecilia stand tall in the midtown district.
