Cabin vacation rentals in County Durham

We stayed as a group of 4 girls and had a lovely time, the whole place was clean and tidy. The views are beautiful and the hot tub was a great size for the 4 of us. We will definitely be booking again

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The Valley cabin. Beautiful place, amenities and is absolutely spotless and views were amazing. Owners were very attentive from booking to arrival. We were shown how to use to hot tub properly and everything about the cabin. John and Allison were fantastic hosts and even informed us of the area and recommendations. This really sold it to us as we were blown away by the information. This place is honestly so beautiful. The decor inside was beautiful and the little touches like towels, robe, slippers and even some snacks. The view is honestly breathtaking. We’ve had so many people ask where we stayed and have recommended to many. We cannot wait to book again

Absolutely loved our stay! The location was excellent and really easy to find, the lodge was superb and very clean. Gill and Ray were both so friendly and helpful and their dogs Rupert and Ted were the friendliest pooches too!

We stayed for 4 lovely nights in this very clean and very well presented holiday home, which had everything you needed for your stay including a welcome pack. The campsite is beautiful and set in a secluded woodlands area near Hexham with plenty of dog friendly walks including a forest trail which were great for our dog. The site was well run with a bar/restaurant. There are wild rabbits roaming the site which are lovely to watch. Ashley was a great host with great communication from start to finish. We would definitely return if we are ever staying in the area again and would recommend to others.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay. It was lovely to go on a three-generation holiday and with the dogs too. The site it truly wonderful, the domes were such a lovely surprise and the location was beautiful. The pods were spacious for us all and we loved playing music on the sound system. Thanks to the café staff too, who were so friendly and served such delicious food. 🏕️ 🐾

I stayed a Peter's place for two nights. it's very close to the university. My stay was very comfortable and Peter is a great host. He is very respectful, welcoming and it's like being in a home from home. I managed to park on the road outside his place. I would recommend staying here. Great host, great location and very comfortable.

I know I’ve been to a great place when I’m considering when I can next come. We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. The home was lovely and sweet, and also very clean. It had everything we needed, as well as a smart tv. The garden was our highlight, with a swing, bird feeders, the lovely hot tub, and a surprise treehouse. Through the day, we got to hear the lovely birds, and in the night, we had a whole garden donned with fairy lights and peace and quiet. Peter himself was absolutely lovely. He was really responsive, but also let us have our privacy. Again, I couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommend the stay. Thank you so much Peter.

Iv stayed in many caravans and is bar far the best Iv ever been in! So roomy, comfier than usual beds for caravans/lodges. Had sky glass tv with all channels, apps and WiFi! Kitchen had everything needed and more. David is an excellent 5* host fast replies, clear instructions on passcodes for check in and sky and WiFi, and how to find the caravan and instructions how to work the boiler for heating! Book with David you will not be disappointed the views are a added bonus ❤️

Absolutely wonderful. That sums up West Hoppyland. I wish I was still there. Carole is a wonderful host. She was very helpful and her local knowledge is a great help. Especially if you get lost in the Forest, like I did. The cabin is beautiful and its setting is lovely, with views across the valley to Hamsterley Forest. Very private and peaceful. Hamsterley Forest is walkable from the cabin. The Forest is great for walking or cycling. Lots of different trails to follow. Plus there is a cafe. The Cross Keys pub in Hamsterley serves lovely food, definitely worth going to. Plus the Spinning Wheel club is a nice bonus. Lovely friendly club with nice ales. There's lots to do in the area. Some walkable and others a short drive away. All in all a really special place. Thanks Carole.
