So comfy and warm, this is a wonderful place to experience Tasmania's south. Louella's home sits on a small rise overlooking the Verona Sands beach, and this view changes continually with the weather, daylight and tide. At night, the stars are amazing. The home itself is comfy and cosy. We stayed in May, and the air con and fireplace meant we were always warm. Beds are great with lovely linen sheets, and one bedroom has a window seat for quiet book reading. The beach is so close and an easy walk, as is another walk along the coast starting in the reserve next door. Cygnet is 20 minutes away with its cafes, galleries, shops and grocers - all of high quality, and if you'd like lunch at a winery, Home Hill is a 40 minute drive. So good we lunched there twice. The kitchen is fully equiped, and while the oven is a bit tricky to operate, there are instructions and Louella is a phone call away. A great place to turn off the world and relax. (well just a bit, the wifi is great!)

I absolutely loved Lin's place! Gorgeous little studio with everything I needed and lots of thoughtful touches. Stunning private walk to a rugged and moody coastline. Lin's place is impeccably clean and private and her and Joe were super friendly, generous and inviting.

The house and surrounding property was better than we imagined. It was one of the most beautiful houses we have stayed in, and the view from the living area was breathtaking. We didn’t go anywhere all weekend because the house was so relaxing and comfortable and all we wanted to do was look out the windows at the ocean. we had a lovely weekend at SaltHouse. our little pooch enjoyed the fully enclosed yard, and the gas fire place worked a treat on the cold nights.

Absolutely loved our stay. The home is neat and tidy. The sauna and bath was awesome and was the highlight of the stay.

We loved Tumbi Orchard so much on our way up to Queensland that we made a point of staying again on the way back—and we’re so glad we did. I can actually feel my body relax as we pull into the driveway. It’s such a peaceful, beautiful spot. Fiona and Dean are responsive and thoughtful hosts, and guests are incredibly well catered for. After mentioning how much we loved the lemon butter on our last visit, Fiona made sure we could purchase some this time around—such a lovely personal touch. The beds are super comfy, the views are stunning, and the orchard setting is wonderfully calming. The bathtub in the master ensuite is an absolute show stopper, with a breathtaking view out over the property—such a special way to unwind. Honestly, the only downside was not having enough time to properly enjoy everything the property has to offer. Tumbi Orchard has definitely become our go-to stopover on the way to Queensland, and we hope to stay longer next time.

We had a fantastic stay at the Eco Lodge. Very peaceful surroundings and beautiful cabin! Our toddler loved the trampoline and chooks, especially seeing if there were fresh eggs in the morning:) The cabin was well maintained and super comfortable. We hope to be back soon!

A soul nourishing getaway! We would definitely come back again to enjoy the peace and quiet. We most enjoyed being able to stargaze and watch the sunrise all whilst being snuggled up in the carriage!

Jas was very responsive and a great host. Offered us a late check-out and also accommodated with an earlier check in for us. We had such an amazing time at the cottage - it was very secluded and private. Beautifully designed, and comes with everything you need. We will definitely book in again here when we return to Straddie. 😊

Had a lovely stay in Melissa’s tiny home! Kitchen came fully equipped with all the essentials and more! Loved the bread, milk, tea and coffee provided + every appliance you could possible need! Lots of firewood provided and plenty of nice spots to hang out. Loved walking through the farm and meeting the animals. Special shout out to the cute little chubby pony (whose name I would love to know). Definitely worth a trip!
