Guesthouse vacation rentals in Värmdö

Krister and his partner were great always open to talk about things. The location is perfect, regular busses and trains nearby to explore Stockholm and surrounds. We took Krister's advice and had dinner at the local restaurant, great food and service. For nature lovers like us, we loved the nearby forest nature reserves. One afternoon sitting on the patio outside there was a Roe deer lying down in the garden just meters away which made our afternoon the best, imagine that just 20 minutes by public transport from Stockholm, Sweden's capital. Great place to stay. Sorry Krister, we forgot to write in your guestbook.

All good, train station close to the house. Kayak included really a plus.

The hosts, Björn and Annika, connected Netflix to the TV before we arrived - but we never turned on the TV in the 7 days we lived in the house. This is, in general, a short review - everything was so rich and interesting. If you want more details. The house has a good location if you travel by car. You can quickly get to the train station (5 minutes), to the metro station (15 minutes), to the center of Stockholm (30-35 minutes). You can use the boat and fishing rods. Deer, hares, and coots wander into the territory. The toilet, shower and sauna are in a separate house, but we adapted very quickly. The whole family was sad when we left. Thank you so much to Sweden, Björn and Annika, and the loving corgi Luna!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely guest house. It’s small but had everything we needed for our family of three — even a sauna with an incredible view of the lake. The garden, which we shared with the hosts and their lovely family, was big enough for everyone and felt very welcoming and relaxed. Our child had the best time running around the grassy area, jumping on the trampoline, playing in the sand, and kicking a ball around. There were plenty of tables and chairs outside, and we especially loved having meals outdoors while enjoying the beautiful lake view. The hosts were kind, thoughtful, and always happy to help with the little things. We really appreciated their warm hospitality. The guest house and the Älta area are peaceful, family-friendly, and full of charm.

The garden in which the cottage is located is beautiful. From the cottage, it is a few minutes' walk to the water, nature or shopping. At the bus stop, buses run every minute to the city or out to the Schärengarten. The mix - quiet yet close to the city - is a real advantage. The cottage has everything you need. Even if you arrive by public transport, you can do without large luggage. The host family is very nice and generous.

The cottage was very beautiful, fully furnished and well-equipped. Our stay was excellent and the kids really appreciated the toys. Host Lars was very nice, helpful and responded quickly to our questions. We can highly recommend this home.

We had a pleasant stay at Katja's when we crossed the islands of Stockholm. Katja is an ideal host who was very responsive to us during our interactions. The space is comfortable and in a good location. I would recommend this little cabin in the middle of the Stockholm archipelago

Lena's place is relaxing as it has a beautiful garden 🪴 surrounding it! Lean is super kind and friendly, as is her entire family! There are beautiful forests nearby you can walk in with wildlife and flowers (if you come in spring and summer). There is a grocery store within a 10 min walk, as well as a bus stop near the store, where you can ride to the train that takes you into the city. I recommend this place if you prefer coming home to calm & nature after your days out! 🥰

Our stay at Elin's was beautiful. We felt totally comfortable in the apartment. It was super equipped, clean and the beds very comfortable. The accommodation is surrounded by greenery and it is very quiet. A bus stop with a very good and regular connection to Vaxholm and Stockholm is easily accessible on foot. The supermarket is also within walking distance. Resarö is a great base if you like to be surrounded by nature, but still want a good connection. We highly recommend Elin and the apartment 😊

A small Swedish dream in a very pretty, absolutely quiet environment. The tiny house is practical and also very carefully furnished in detail. Many towels and care products are available, cozy beds, games and a grill incl. charcoal. There are even warm socks. It is easily accessible by public transport, the supermarket has everything, the swimming area is close and the view from the rocks there is beautiful. We will be happy to come back.

William and Sannah are wonderful, friendly, and helpful hosts, we wholeheartedly recommend a stay with them in their lovely appartment! We felt at home right away. Thanks to a good wifi-connection I was able to work, while the kids went running, fishing etc An ICA Supermarket is close by on Resarø, more supermarkets, Cafés, restaurants Are also close in Vaxholm. We enjoyed being Williams and Sannahs guests and would love to return one day to explore the area and possibilities further 🙂

We were looking for a peaceful, tranquil location just outside Stockholm - and that’s exactly what we got. Perfect. The cabin is lovely - everything as described and kitted out in the customary Swedish style, quality and elegance. As they used to say down the east end of London: all good; nothing bad! .

We had a super pleasant stay close to the beach. The cottage was very nice with a close walking distance to the beach. It was also very cozy and private. The area was beautiful. Linnea was a great host too- kind, helpful and available. I will definitely rent this one again!

My first stay in an Airbnb and I was so impressed. The place was spotless and the instructions were really clear. It looks even better than the photos. Felt very at home and hope to return next year.

We had a wonderful vacation in Stockholm. The proximity to the beach and at the same time to the bus are unbeatable. In 15 minutes, you are in the city center. There are the best shopping opportunities in the immediate vicinity. Christer is a perfect host who always supports you with advice and action. The tiny house is actually just as beautiful and clean as in the photos. This place is highly recommended.

And everything was wonderful!!! We spent 5 days as a group of four in Kalle's cottage. It was sparkling clean, very cozy and nicely decorated. The place is fully sufficient for 4 people (2 adults and 2 teenagers). You can enjoy sitting outside. We would book again directly and will recommend it.

Little bit far away from the Stockholm city area but it’s a good place to escape from the busy. Chill and cozy vibre. Good place to go if you need some peace. But the host should be friendly remind that there’s limited supply of hot water.

Ideal location in a beautiful setting to explore the local area and Stockholm. Hennie was friendly. Comfortable and clean. We didn’t want to leave! Hoping to visit again!
