Footbridge Farm is a quiet country get-away located on 90 wooded acres, 15 miles NE of Decorah. We are close to the mouth of Canoe Creek, the Upper Iowa River and adjacent to state DNR land. The cozy owner-built cabin has an open ceiling with exposed beams and rafters giving a sense of spaciousness. Local stone was used in the exterior walls and the floor-to-ceiling fire back behind the wood-burning stove. The floors are oak and slate. Detailed craftsmanship can be found throughout the cabin.

Very cute, cozy place! Has everything you’d need. Thoughtful conveniences throughout, such as remote fans, tv in bedroom, power in nightstands, room darkening window shades, face towels, etc. Overall was easy to find. I arrived at night and the street does not have streetlights so I got a little disoriented, but the details of how to get there was very accurate and helped! Overall quiet area, there is a train nearby, but it did not impact my quality of stay. Would stay again.

Thank you for hosting us at your home in Peterson. What a great way to highlight the Historic Mobile Station. The artifacts decorating the inn were so cleverly displayed throughout the AirBNB. The place was very clean with all the amenities one needed. It was perfect for the two of us for our time away to golf, bike and hike. Several restaurants in neighboring towns were great. The price was very fair. Sarah was very clear and proactive with directions. We would definately consider staying there in the future.

We had the best long weekend staying at the Firefly Cabin! The location was perfect - close enough to town to easily access all the restaurants/stores, but remote enough to enjoy nature in a peaceful, quiet setting. We especially loved the fire pit and the s’mores kit left for us by Pam! She was a thoughtful and responsive host - we really appreciated her clear communication!

Luxury Home - Newer Construction - 3 BR/2 Bath

This was by far the best Airbnb we’ve stayed at in Rochester. Sarah was an exceptional host and her house was beautiful! It is hard to find truly elevated accommodations when traveling with your fur-baby, but this house checked all the boxes for our roadtrip to MN to catch up with family and friends. We appreciated having a full garage to park in and a private backyard for our dog. The neighborhood is newer, safe and very walkable - we even located a park steps away as well as a doggy park a short drive away. This felt like our home away from home. We will definitely seek out this property again and highly recommend both this house as well as our amazing host, Sarah!
