Monthly Rentals in Upper Taylors Arm

Had an amazing time away. Thankyou so much to Denise and Brett. So much care and thought has gone into making the place an amazing place to stay. We were so sad to be leaving, and already miss the cows and view!

This was our fourth stay at Misty River Lodge and won’t be our last. My family, including our little Jack Russell Terrier, loves Helen and Craig’s place. I especially love seeing how the gardens have evolved. We enjoy visiting the beaches up and down the coast — Scotts Head is a favourite — and we love to find new places to eat. Coffs Harbour is only a 45 minute drive north and South West Rocks is just 30 minutes south, so it’s a really central location and close to the highway but so quiet and peaceful. The bird song is relaxing and if you’re an early riser, you might even see the local swamp wallaby down near the creek. We were treated to fresh quail eggs, deliciously sweet tomatoes and tasty vegetables from the garden. As Helen said when we arrived… “Welcome home!” … because it does feel like a home away from home.

Absolutely picturesque. This was our first time away after the passing of our son. We wanted somewhere private and peaceful where we could just be with one another. We could not have picked a more perfect place. Birdsong has the most calm and tranquil feel. You truly feel like the only people in the world. Listening to the water at night and the songs of all the amazing birds was so beautiful. We took a long walk together, skimmed rocks in the crystal clear river, played some board games and had wine and platter with the most beautiful view. The cabin was so warm and the photos do not do it justice! It is the most special place where you can just sit in any emotion or feeling and be at peace. Martin and Judy are beautiful people and were wonderful to talk to. We will definitely be back.

Had a lovely stay - the house is filled with cute knickknacks and had everything we needed for a week away. Deck was a great place to have meals and watch the birds. Location is only a short drive to the beach and grocery store. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
