3 bedroom Mexican-inspired log cabin nestled in the heart of Smiths Lake, NSW. The cabin backs onto a national park for the ultimate privacy. Log fire plus a large entertaining area. Just a short walk to the lake or short drive to NSW's best surf beaches. This cabin is special. Please stay with us if you love nature and switching off from the world. It has rustic charm with full logs & timber throughout. It's not for humans that froth more on mod cons than stars and a crackling fire.
“Such a tranquil cabin, you feel like you’re in the middle of the bush but with enough amenities nearby. A great middle ground between Seal Rocks and Blueys Beach if you’re after the sea, or an amazing lake just minutes walk from the front door. Lots of utensils in kitchen which allowed us to cook all our meals, do some baking and have a bbq in the evening. If you’re also after some evening activities Pacific Palms reccy is an 8 minute drive away. Will definitely be recommending this place to others, and can’t think of anything I’d change about our weekend. Thanks for having us!”
Amelies is a unique romantic self contained cottage with stunning views of the Hunter Valley vineyards below. Perched on Pokolbin Mountain the cottage is private and secluded, yet 5 minutes to world class wineries, restaurants and golf courses. Enjoy a break from the everyday hustle and bustle relaxing in the spa bath (with a view!) or listening to the birds sing in the private courtyard.
“This is a truly wonderful place for a retreat. We'd come all the way from NZ, seeking a spot to base some wine touring from, and this one stood out for the promise of its amazing setting. It rained the entire time we were there so we didn't get the stunning sunrise and sunset... yet it didn't matter as the rain was fun for other reasons.. the kangaroos shaking themselves like wet dogs... the gleaming green of freshly washed forest - and being able to fill the amazing spa bath without feeling guilty (the cottage is rainwater fed) - the bath has a spectacular view down the valley and is large enough to 'swallow' two people. The bed was generously sized and very comfortable and we absolutely loved the wrought iron Juliet balcony with its drop-away views. Amelie's is reminiscent of a Tuscan villa on a Tuscan hillside (if you ignore the roos and gums :) ) and is a very healing place to be. No wifi... and hope Sally keeps in that way... if you need some R&R within easy driving reach of some spectacular wineries, then this is your place.”
Unlikely you will find anything like WALKERS RUN, only 90 mins drive from Sydney! PLEASE NOTE: All guests must be over 22yrs old, except babies not yet crawling. "Walkers Run is described as Rustic, Funky, Tranquil, with a “million dollar view".
“Ruth and Rob were sensational hosts. Warm and welcoming, super responsive and have created the most wonderful home, which they are proud to share. From the moment we made contact to leaving, we felt part of the family! The property is stunning, with personal touches and nostalgia leaving your senses delighted! The location, view and amenities (such as the pool, board games and fire pit) we so much more than we expected. The kitchen and cooking utensils were excellent and made cooking for 7 people easy. Waking up in the native bush to birds and wildlife was the perfect getaway from the city. We could have stayed for weeks! We also loved going to wineries, and distillery with Ruth in the Suburban! She really made our day with great chat, and more than willing to accomodate our choice of locations to stop at. Easily the best AirBnB stay I have been in by a long way! Thanks Ruth and Rob, we all loved our stay, and most of all my GF was super stoked for her bday surprise. She even shed a tear :) Can’t wait to come back again.”
