Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Hunter Region

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Barefoot at Broke over the long weekend. The house is beautifully decorated, comfortable and felt extremely spacious for the 5 of us, plus our family dog. Located in Broke, the property feels private and secluded, yet only a short drive away from some amazing wineries. Steve and Jen were also very responsive hosts, answering all our questions promptly and providing clear instructions for check in/ out. We would highly recommend Barefoot at Broke for a small group getaway - we had an amazing time!

Great place and location for a group base to explore the Hunter valley. Relaxing and easy to stay. Good amenities and well appointed house.

Our stay at this beautiful home was incredible. The views of the bush and lake are amazing, and all the rooms of the house were stunning. You feel super secluded but with everything close by. Ken was great with communication.

The accommodation felt like home away from home. We enjoyed all the facilities in a beautifully presented and thoughtfully designed property, particularly the fire pit and slow combustion heater during the cold winter nights. Why go out for a meal when you have such great views and cooking facilities? At days end after sampling some of the delicious local wines, take a bath with an unobstructed view of the vineyard. Charlie was quick to respond to enquiries. We could not fault our stay - highly recommend!

We loved staying at Rod’s place. It was so cute, very tidy and clean, well appointed with comfy beds. Plenty of room for a family or a group of friends with 3 queen size bedrooms a sofa bed and two bathrooms. We appreciated the treats left for us- so thoughtful. The location was handy to everything we needed and we would absolutely stay here again.

Great place, exactly as described. It accommodated our group of 8 who visited the Hunter Valley for a golf trip. Checking in was seamless, the host was responsive and always checking in on us to make sure we were taken care of. Will 100% recommend to any friends and family visiting the Hunter Valley region.

Lovely place perfect for our stay. we were visiting family in the area. The house had everything we needed amd was very central. Robert was a flexible responsive host whom I would highly recomend the location is superb and the views stunning....Maybe don't go in the middle of a severe flood warning if you really want to appreciate the magnificicent views......Robert even offered his local knolwledge on alternate routes due to the weather. All in all a great experience except for the rain, but I am from England so it was like home from home for me... :-)

Sandy is a great host, made everything very easy for us to use, ping pong table and arcade machine was fun, fire place in the backyard made for a chilled space.

Beautiful big apartment. Reminded me a bit of an old Queenslander with mod cons. Lots of charm. Wish we could of stayed longer.

This is a fab place to stay, especially if you have some bikes or an affinity for running; there are so many great paths to explore. The house is perfect for all our needs and the sheets are PARTICULARLY lovely! Getting into bed is cozy in this house 👌🏻 the back courtyard is nice for coffee in the morning and the knives are sharp. What more could you need. Highly recommended 💕

Medlow Bath is a fantastic, peaceful location near to Leura, Katoomba and Blackheath. Denise was a wonderful host and provided us with many recommendations for the area. The space was quiet and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

Great place for a weekend in Killcare! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean, modern and had everything we could need for a lovely stay!

Needing somewhere to stay while working in the area & wow what a find! I couldn’t wait to finish work and get back to enjoy this place. Bonus having a beautiful dog greeting. Hosts are down to earth great people and make ya feel at home while also giving you privacy. I absolutely loved the uniqueness & detail and all the comforts of home plus more!

Very happy with our stay at Blueys Beach. Dean was very communicative and we felt we could reach out to him if there were any concerns. We would definitely like to return for another visit.

We loved the Bond House apartment. Despite the unusual access across the park it was well worth it once inside. Eclectic stylishly furnished spacious apartment well located for East Newcastle. A well stocked larder and great laundry space if you need it. Bathrooms very modern with heated towel rails and big fluffy towels! Beds very comfy too

What a beautiful, peaceful place that had all the necessary amenities a 2 min walk from the spectacular pearl beach. It was perfect & Carla and Chloe were great hosts and were very generous to give us a late check out on Sunday. The spa is pretty special although a bit finicky if you don’t know how to use it - thankfully our hosts were very responsive in helping with this. My only note is to maybe make sure if you need more linen/towels than what they provide for the 4 doubles and one single bed (9 people). We booked the house for 11 (there is a room with fold out couches) but those 2 guests didn’t get towels or linen. Final thing is the property has close neighbours so there are a lot of rules to do with noise etc. This makes sense as I assume the hosts have been burned before and must protect their relationship with the local community but if you want somewhere you can feel free to sing your heart out around the fire pit until the wee hours go elsewhere. Thanks for everything!

Matt’s place was incredible. We stayed there for 2 nights for a girls weekend getaway. We loved the property so much that we skipped some of our scheduled wine tastings to sit around the cozy fireplace, watch the spectacular sunsets and enjoy the 360 degree views from every angle. This property has everything you could need, including very clearly labeled instructions for how to use the various appliances/speakers/fireplace etc. The kitchen is completely stocked, there’s no shortage of cleaning supplies, firewood, tea, coffee, and everything you need to make your stay a memorable and seamless one. Matt was very responsive, helpful, and a joy to communicate with. We will definitely be back. Couldn’t recommend Among The Vines more highly. If I could give this more than five stars, I would. Gorgeous spot for a getaway from the city. Close to everything in the Hunter, but well away from everything and everyone. Super easy to find and get there, check-in/out was a breeze. All the information you need is provided. Great amenities especially in the kitchen. Accomodation is a beautiful space indoors and out. Amazing afternoon walks around the property. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay! We found the property to be exactly what we were looking for, a nice getaway that made you feel disconnected and relaxed. The property is set up perfectly to bring your dog, with the secure area around the villa that allows them to explore without worry. Zoe the resident dog is also great host and very welcoming, she would come a visit each day to make sure that we were comfortable. She was very friendly and got along well with our dog, she even came along with us for one of our walks and showed us the way. We had a great time and would highly recommend staying here. We hope to return one day, thankyou Kylie for being a great host!
