Had a wonderful relaxing weekend!

We had a lovely stay at Effeniks's! In retrospect, we secretly regret that we hadn't booked much longer. The hot tub with large wide views, exactly where the sun goes down, is wonderful. The cottage is beautiful, clean and equipped with every comfort. Really a place to relax and get out of the daily hustle and bustle.

Jan provided us with a more spacious cabin that suited our needs (small camping bed for baby). The cabin had just been renovated, everything was new and clean. That's very kind of him. We were located on the edge of a lake overlooking the countryside (cows) it was very peaceful. Also there were campfires and there is enough to entertain young and old. I recommend it!

If you want to stay overnight in the Plattenland, this is absolutely recommended. The description already indicated that it is “back to the basics” staying overnight, so you should definitely take that into account. The chalets are simple but cozy, with a kitchenette, water heater with tap water and heating for a pleasant temperature. The plumbing is in a shared space, and while it is not luxurious, everything is functional with simple showers and toilets. The absolute highlight? Each chalet has its own jacuzzi with views over the country. You can also make your own campfire, although you have to arrange wood yourself. The only thing to take into account is that the chalets are next to each other and the path to the shared sanitary facilities runs along the chalets. So there is no complete privacy and tranquility. But that doesn't take away from this great experience of staying “on the farm”, where you wake up in the morning with a view over the countryside and the day starts in your own jacuzzi

The property was amazing, in a very beautiful village with peaceful scenery. The hosts provided us with free bicycles which we used in the mornings to visit nearby villages. We used the hot tub twice and sauna once, which was worth it and very enjoyable. The hot tub and sauna was for our private use and we had full privacy. The only small problem we had was that there were no restroom on the 2nd floor where the sleeping room was. Other than that we definitely recommend the property.

We had a wonderful few days at Jody and Huib's beautiful place. The chalet is fantastically located – both the sea and the IJsselmeer can be reached quickly, and some places worth seeing in the area can also be easily accessed. The accommodation was sparkling clean and superbly equipped – there was really everything you need for a comfortable stay. There were useful utensils in the kitchen, and even in the bathroom everything was thought of – perfect in case you forgot something. The rooms are very tasteful and decorated with a lot of love for detail – you feel welcome from the first moment. The private garden access was ideal for our dog who could move freely there. However, the absolute highlight was the direct water access with private area – simply fantastic. We will be happy to come back and can highly recommend the accommodation as well as the hosts Jody and Huib:)

The stay was terrific. It is a cozy and complete cottage surrounded by greenery, with sound of rustling trees, birds and a rooster. We will definitely come back with our cat.

This was the second time we were here. That actually says enough...What a fantastic location, really top! on the water, next to a restaurant and very easily accessible. Remco (the host) is super friendly and the cottage meets the description. It is basic but clean and everything is available. Going somewhere 2 times is already a unique one for us, but this has not been the last time in this place!

Nice cottage in the center of Gorredijk, all amenities in the immediate vicinity, yet quietly located. In addition, the cottage has a nice terrace/garden, where the afternoon sun can be enjoyed.

Accommodation (cottage) remarkable for its quiet location and authentic and tasteful decoration, a (real) Dutch country house! Beautiful view from the kitchen / dining room over the countryside, in the garden with many birds. Carina is a very efficient and very discreet person. We would highly recommend this lovely house, we had a great week there. Good option also for visiting the country, nothing is really far away. In addition, the small historic town of Hoorn is charming, and there are 3 supermarkets and many shops, bars, restaurants just 12 km away. We'll get back to you as soon as possible… Didier & Yency

Excellent stay that allowed us to discover the area by bike. The weather wasn't great and we couldn't enjoy the very nice patio and garden. Jikke and Jan are very welcoming, attentive to ensuring our comfort and very responsive to any questions. Thank you!

Very nice cottage in a quiet park, at the edge of the village of Terherne. The cottage has all the comforts, the bed is top and the sauna is a nice extra. Definitely recommended!

Great place to stay on a beautiful lake. Many possibilities, especially for children. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our vacation early due to illness, but we would be happy to come again!

A super nice place on the water. The outdoor seating was very nice, you can see sunset and at night a beautiful starry sky. The kitchen had everything we needed and there was a nice shower. At night it is cold and there are a lot of spiders, but that's not that crazy. All in all had a very nice weekend here!

We had rented this log cabin last minute to get a breath of fresh air in Friesland. Don't expect luxury, but the log cabin has everything you need for a quiet holiday on the Frisian Lakes. Kitchen, cooking utensils, chairs and seats to sit outside. The beds are fine. Close to the water, so swimming in the morning before breakfast is no problem. The pitch itself is spacious. We were able to use a supboard (nice experience, never done before), cycling (not used, we were more on and in the water) and there was much more to use (yoga mats, golf set,...). The rubber boat with BB motor that we also put together (was probably not used for a long time, instructions were provided, but was a bit of a puzzle with the bottom plates) and made a few nice trips on the Fluessen. Communication with Thijs was prime, responds quickly to questions. All in all had a wonderful 5-day vacation - where the beautiful weather also played a big role.

We arrived a little later than planned and were still able to check in flexibly. In the house, everything was ready for us and we felt immediately comfortable. It was wonderfully quiet and cozy. TV and Internet are not yet available. But if you bring an HDMI cable and laptop, you can connect this and watch movies on the TV. Internet only via your own mobile hotspot for now. Thank you again for everything, it was very nice with you! :)

A lovely and peaceful place. Perfect for families and for people who want to relax.

We had beautiful weather and then this cottage comes into its own. What a place, enjoy immediately upon arrival. We could sit out and enjoy the view. Kitchen was also nicely complete. Wifi could be better. Bunk bed is for a 185cm teen on the cramped side, but he slept well on the sofa bed. We had rented a Falcon from Allemansend, this was around the corner. We ate deliciously at the restaurant de Fluessen, also within walking distance. Cottage definitely recommended!
