"De Gulle pracht" Holiday home, Friesland

Our cozy vacation cottage, originally was an old stable that we (Caroline and Jan) converted together, with lots of love and respect for the old details and materials, into this "Gulle Pracht". Through a private driveway with parking, you reach the terrace with the spacious garden, a lawn with surrounding tall trees, where you can enjoy. Through the two French doors, you step into the bright and cozy living room with the white old beams and a fully equipped open kitchen. There is wireless internet available, TV and DVD. Because of the ceiling in the living room that has been removed, beautiful light falls in from the skylights and you have a view of the roof structure with the old round hoods. The beds are located on top of the two lofts. The comfortable double bed is accessed by an open staircase. The other loft, where a third or fourth bed can possibly be made, is only accessible by flexible guests via a ladder. It is not suitable for small children because of the danger of falling, but older children find it exciting to sleep there. Please note, the two lofts share the same large open space. Under the old beams, you can sleep peacefully, where only the sound of rustling trees, whistling birds or your deliciously snoring bedmate will be heard. The room is heated by central heating, but also only the wood-fired stove can heat the cottage comfortably. You will be provided with enough wood from us to start a cozy fire. Through an old stable door in the living room, you come to the bathroom with beamed ceiling and underfloor heating. The bathroom has a good shower, double sink and toilet. With its inlaid mosaics and all kinds of funny and old details, this space is also a feast for the eyes. There are two bicycles available for nice trips in the wider area (Harlingen, Franeker Bolsward). We may want to drop you off in Harlingen for a crossing to Terschelling. You can leave the car in our yard for a while. We, ourselves, live in the farmhouse which is in the same yard. We are available for help, information and advice for fun trips in our beautiful Friesland. Your cottage and our farmhouse are separated by our garden and the big old barn (with pool table), so we both have our own space and privacy. Kimswerd, located on the eleven city route is a small, quiet and beautiful village where our Frisian hero "de Grutte Pier" was born and lived. He still watches over us, in petrified form, at the beginning of our little street, next to the centuries-old Church, which is very much worth visiting as well. You can do your shopping in Harlingen, the supermarket is a fifteen minute bike ride away. The old port of Harlingen is 10 km from our cottage. Kimswerd is located just across the Afsluitdijk. From there, follow the signs N31 Harlingen/Leeuwarden/Zurich and take the first exit at Kimswerd, 1st right at the traffic circle, 1st right again at the next traffic circle, straight ahead at the intersection, across the bridge and immediately take the first left (Jan Timmerstraat). At the beginning of this street, next to the church, stands the statue of the Grutte Pier. We live in the farmhouse behind the church, Jan Timmerstraat 6, first wide gravel path on the right. - For small children, sleeping on the loft without a fence is not advisable because of the danger of falling. It's just fun for big kids, the loft is accessible by a ladder. Please note, it is 1 large open space upstairs with no privacy.

Enjoy the tranquility, the beautiful Frisian landscape and also great water sports? All this is possible in this beautiful and complete water studio! On the edge of the beautiful village of Heeg and in the heart of the water sports area of Friesland is this harbor house. Complete and furnished for 4 people. You can relax in the cottage with lots of light and the sun-drenched garden with the late evening sun. There are 2 terraces, one on the water with a lovely lounge sofa. Directly on the Fluessen - free from June 19, 1926

Our house on the Koggeplaet in Elahuizen has a beautiful unobstructed view over de Fluessen, with a lake terrace. Also there is a terrace on the harbor and a sheltered seating area! Our house is in the middle of the water sports area of Friesland. A beautiful place for boating, swimming, cycling, hiking or skating! Golf course and forest are nearby! In June, July, August, and September, we rent our house per week/several weeks. Arrival and departure on Friday. Other wishes? Please let us know!

Vacation home on the Eysinga State estate.

From Nov 2025, our cottage will be temporarily out of rent, as soon as it is available again we will let you know Ideal stay to stay with children. In a quiet place in the park with 400 m2 of private land. A games room for the little ones and games for young and old. Watch a DVD on a rainy day. In the summer, there are plenty of facilities in the park, such as a bouncy cushion, swimming beach and playground equipment. You are at the edge of the forest with hiking trails and a golf course.

Apartment 't Achterdijkje

't Achterdijkje is a centrally located apartment in the authentic fishing village of Makkum. The view of the sea dike and the masts of the ships in the harbor makes it the perfect location for rest and relaxation. From the front door, you can walk up the dike and have a view of the IJsselmeer and the port of Makkum. Fancy more life in the brewery? The center of Makkum is about 200 meters away, and the beach with restaurants, shops and a top location for windsurfing is about 2.5 km away!

Tastefully furnished holiday home with a spacious terrace and view over the IJsselmeer. Please note when booking: The annual Stavers party takes place on the nearby site, mid-June 2026. Also in July 2026, the 18th edition of the Stavoren fishing days will be held nearby. The exact dates are not yet known. This beautiful house right on the dike can accommodate up to 4 people. The centerpiece is the spacious terrace with its breathtaking view of the IJsselmeer. Whether spending time in the sun or watching the numerous surfers, sailing boats or water birds. Everyone really gets their money's worth here. The 3 apartments at De Opper in Heeg are bright and fully furnished. In the cozy living room, there is also the open kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, induction cooktop and oven. Upstairs are 2 spacious double bedrooms and the bathroom with shower and toilet. There is floor heating. On the terrace, you can sunbathe and enjoy. If you do not come by boat, but want to get on the water, you can rent a sloop or sailboat. Ask the host about the possibilities.

The apartment Út fan hús has two bedrooms with a double bed, a living room with sofa bed, a kitchen with refrigerator and bathroom with shower and toilet. The apartment has its own entrance. From the apartment, you have a wide view over the Frisian Greiden. It is located on the water, where you can swim and fish. You can also use 1 or 2 person canoes, a boat and bicycles for free. The city of Sneek is 15 minutes away by car, Leeuwarden 30 minutes.
