Barn vacation rentals in Platteville

Our group had a wonderful time. The barn loft accommodations were cozy & everything was well thought out for guests staying. We had wonderful weather & spend the entire day at the swimming pond. It was great for our girls trip & I can say my kids would have loved it as well.

Most idealic place we stayed during our road trip. The couch in the back to watch the sunset is fantastic. Genuinely a unique experience. Would stay again if we are in the area

We needed a place to get off the road on short notice and we were fortunate to find this beautiful historic place to lay our heads. Kari was friendly and her inn was well appointed. I wish we had time to examine all the historical info and visit the beer barn. We had a peaceful quiet night.

Kari was great. let me know she was out of town but she would be returning that evening I checked in. communicated about the property and was super helpful. the price was great... a single room with a jacuzzi tub... definitely worth the price and when I head to that part of the state in the future will definitely stay with Kari again!

Linda was wonderful to communicate with, she and her husband were very kind to our son who has special needs. We appreciated that Linda took time to be with us so we could spend time with one of her well mannered horses. We love the country setting and will be returning soon.

My partner and I had a wonderful experience staying here. The farm was exactly what we needed for our little get-away. Stievenson Farm is definitely a place I would be listing again when I need another break from the city. Tamra was so helpful when she would pop around and the instructions were very simple and easy to understand. We especially enjoyed the company of Rodie and Bentley (animals). We’ve stayed at the grain bin previously, so we knew it was comfy, quirky and good for us. Kay provided wonderful breakfasts each day, plus assorted snacks and beverages. We love the rural location with gravel roads, roosters crowing, quiet nights and random critters. Note: they advertise having an EV charger, but this is not accurate. They have a 220 outlet on the exterior of an outbuilding. BYO everything else! We were unable to charge our vehicle, as we were expecting to find an actual EV charger.

Rhonda and Duane have thought of everything with their place! We will definitely be staying again and look forward to it! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay or better hosts in our travel circumstances! ❤️

We loved our time at Rainwood Cottage. It is in a beautiful country side location, peaceful and relaxing. We walked daily to Cunningham Lake, which has an extensive trail system. The house was as advertised and very well equipped. We cooked inside and out, both areas are great. We came for the college world series and were slightly concerned about the travel distance but it was really easy getting downtown and back home. Would not hesitate to stay there again next time our Beavers get to Omaha! Thanks William!

The house was beautiful and looked just like the pictures! They had a lot of games to play, good TV, and the shuffle board was fun! This is a great place to have your whole family stay! We were in town for my oldest son’s wedding and it was perfect for my whole family to stay in and spend extra time together! Made our whole experience even better! 💕

We returned this year to celebrate our anniversary and were once again struck by the same sense of peace and relaxation that made our first visit so memorable. The setting continues to be a perfect place to unwind, recharge, and enjoy the natural beauty of the the driftless area of Iowa. Whether you're passing through or looking for a destination to slow down and escape the day-to-day, this location is absolutely worth the stay. We spent the day on Saturday renting bikes and enjoying Decora with a great dinner at Rubiyat and a stop at Pulpit Rock Brewery afterwards. We would wholeheartedly recommend both the property and the host to anyone seeking a welcoming, comfortable, and serene retreat.

Place was very unique and relaxing

We had a great three night stay for our multigenerational family from ages 21 to 84. There are many games & activities available. It was nice to have the separate garage and above sleeping area for those who wanted to stay up a little later. The multiple-bed sleeping rooms were a smaller than we thought they'd be and probably better suited to a group of young kids. But we are all comfy sharing spaces, so it worked out fine. The upstairs barn got very warm on the last night because the temp outside was well into the 90s, so the air conditioning couldn't quite keep up. We loved the large deck, big flat yard, basketball court, kayaks, neighboring sand volleyball, splash pad, and beach area. It was perfect for the grandparents to sit and watch the rest of us goof around in the yard. We rented the pontoon but it was very windy so we didn't use it much. Bond was easy going, friendly, super accommodating, responded quickly to my questions, and checked in to make sure everything was ok.

I couldn't have picked a better Airbnb for my husband to stay while on the road for work. Rose has been a blessing to our lives. Her place is the perfect home away from home. Rose was amazing to my husband and myself when I went to visit. The place is so peaceful and nice to get out of the hustle of traffic. We will continue to stay at Rose's as well as keep in touch with her. Such a wonderful woman! Thank you Rose for taking such good care of your renters.

Stayed to attend Grinnell College graduation. We ended up having the whole farmhouse to ourselves. It was so comfy, inviting and had everything we needed. Didn’t have to clean up or have any check out procedures. Stacey was the most super host ever.

Quiet, peaceful, charming and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the wildlife, mainly bird watching. The hosts were easy to work with and truly interested in our comfort and stay. I highly recommend the property. You won't be disappointed and will want to return for every season.

So happy we decided to stay here. Great place to stay. Kids and I really enjoyed it. Not sure if it’s possible or makes sense, given it’s primarily a wedding venue versus an apartment, but a little area with a tv and sofa/futon would have been nice helping get kids wound down for bed. Overall we really loved the place. There were so many unique special touches that made us smile. Plenty of space and restrooms. Kids LOVED climbing the ladder to their bedroom. They also had fun just being in the country. By the trees and pond. :) Great barn. Clean and charming. We’ll be back. Thank you so much!

Very quiet, relaxing country atmosphere. We almost took the farm cat home with us. Would definitely stay again if in the area again. Very pleasant stay.

The Barn House was in a beautiful location and it housed all 15 of us very comfortably. Very clean. No complaints whatsoever. Also, Gerarda was very friendly while also maintaining privacy. 10/10 experience.

We had wonderful stay this weekend in Dubuque. The restored barn and outdoor settings are even better than the pictures. It is clear a lot of time and care went into restoring the place for a comfortable and relaxing get away. Our hosts were accessible and great at communicating our arrival and check out.

We had a wonderful time at The Lodge. There was so much space for our kids to run and play. We loved sitting around the fire pit and making smores. Will definitely stay again next time we are visiting Norfolk!
