Chalet vacation rentals in Owls Head

What a beautiful cabin in the woods! Lots of wildlife around the property & there was a little hiking path through the woods. Within 15min to two picturesque towns, Camden & Belfast. I highly recommend visiting the alpaca store for some fabulous socks! The cabin was super clean and beautiful. I instantly fell in love with it. We will certainly stay here again if we come to the Lincolnville area again. It snowed while we were here and Andreas husband came over and made sure the driveway was plowed. You won't be disappointed if you stay here!!

We rented both the Toddy House and Rocky House for a week for our family of 12. The houses were as described and in pristine condition. We loved the fact that they were close together, so the late night group could stay up and play pool, while the children could be put to bed without distraction. We really liked the access to the water with the dock, the canoe and kayaks, and the super cool fire ring. The owners provided lifejackets and fishing gear if we needed them. We are the type of family that asks a lot of questions once we are at our destination, and Mark was quick to answer and take care of any questions or issues we had. We spent a great deal of time at Acadia, and while the drive was about 45 minutes to get there, it was not a problem at all. We would definitely return to 3Havens if we decided to take another vacation in this area. Mark and Laurie are excellent hosts.

This is a delightful place. Watching the sunrise and moonrise from the dock was beautiful. While it is a bit of a drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, coming back to the house to relax was a highlight. The girls did a few puzzles while the guys played pool. We sat on the dock to relax in the sun and listen to the water lapping on the shore. Thank you for letting us stay here.

Me and my family really enjoyed staying at Buck’s. It is right on the bay and private, perfect for kayaking and bird watching. We rented kayaks at Waters Edge Kayaks with Mike, who was extremely responsive and thoughtful. The location was pretty good, about 40 min to Acadia and also schoodic point. Buck had tons of great suggestions and was easy to get a hold of. Lots of clear instructions around the house too. Also, the house was clean and spacious, perfect for my family of 5. Would definitely come back!

Mark’s place is in a beautiful location and a well equipped, comfortable house. It was the perfect spot for our family’s stay while attending our daughter’s graduation from Colby College in Waterville, a 20 min drive away. It was a wet & chilly weekend, but we were able to take out the canoe on a beautiful sunny Memorial Day Monday! The heating system was great and we really enjoyed the efficient fireplace, which kept us warm during the first couple of chilly nights. I highly recommend Mark’s place and would definitely stay again if I have the opportunity to visit the area!

We stayed at the Birch Chalet last week and it was an amazing experience for our family! The views from the deck are even more spectacular in person. We saw a bald eagle, a wood pecker, many seals and schools of fish jumping out of the water. I wish I had my binoculars to see the all the wildlife. Peter was an exceptional host! He was very friendly and accommodating. He shared additional options for hiking that were less crowded and recommendations for restaurants, that did not disappoint. When I couldn't find the lobster crackers etc, he brought more the very next day and even brought us a blueberry pie! The unit does not have A/C but when a heat wave came through, Peter offered us an A/c unit. The mussels were plentiful at low tide, just watch for the pearls. The water was fine to drink right from the tap and the beds were comfortable as well. The humidity made it difficult for the bath mats to dry out. Our experience at Birch was unforgettable and we would love to return next year.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at the Sunset Chalet for our anniversary. Our hosts went above and beyond to make our weekend special. When we first checked in, there was soft music playing and mood lighting, making the cabin feel warm and cozy. They kindly provided us with a flower bouquet, an anniversary cake, treats, and wine. Feras wrote us an anniversary card that was personally addressed to me and my boyfriend; he had clearly read our reservation request closely and had thoughtfully curated our experience accordingly. Ultimately, we had a great stay and we would love to go back in the future.

Fast and easy drive up from Portland, but then suddenly you are tucked in the woods and away from the bustle. Newly built and yet comfy, well laid out, and well equipped like it’s already established. The view is great, lots of decks and peaceful setting, was great to settle in and watch a loon floating on the lake. Easy walk around the edge of the lake to the great Italian restaurant for a fantastic meal. Quick drive to Farmington for more options. Kitchen was equipped enough to boil lobsters, set up a real meal, and entertain. Then we drifted out to the yard and fire pit and enjoyed a fantastic evening around the fire in chairs with moonlight shining off the lake. Ok, that was the last night, it was POURING for the first part of our stay, with the house proving to be warm and cozy, well equipped with games, and the hot tub perfect. Will absolutely look to stay here again when we return in the fall.

We loved our stay at Spruce. The location of the house was perfect. Our kids favorite part of the day was returning to the cabin and running down the steps to the shore. The view was beautiful! Thank you for a great vacation!

When you drive up to Cole Cottage you will find yourself in a truly magical place. We arrived at sunset and went right to the cove behind the cottage. The beach is filled with marvelous beauty. The kids explored the tide pools, found shells, sea glass, small crabs and star fish while my husband and I watched the sky. Sunsets in the back became a regular part of our trip. Each one was unique and mesmerizing. The location was really great because you can easily drive to the many places of interest on Mt Dessert Island including an entrance to Acadia National Park just minutes from the cottage. The cottage was the perfect home to return to. I can’t even put into words how magical and amazing the cove and view out the back were. The huge windows facing the back offered breathtaking views any time we were ‘home.’ The porch was a perfect place for coffee in the morning and a night cap in the evening. The stars were magnificent. Cole Cottage is a perfect beach side cottage with all the comforts of home. Comfy beds, cozy blankets, many different types of coffee makers, kitchen appliances and laundry. My family and will have many fond memories of our time in Maine at Cole’s Cottage.

Outside, we enjoyed fishing off the dock, the wonderful landscaping and the lovely porches. Inside, the kitchen was perfect for cooking family meals, the fireplace room provided exactly the kind of atmosphere we wanted for a lake house getaway, and all of the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, comfortable and as described. It was a delightful stay for everyone in our group of 9 (all ages, from 1 to 68), and we highly recommend it! Michael was a very thoughtful and responsive host, with clear instructions and proactive handling of situations. The house itself was very beautiful and comfortably slept everyone in my party of 8. We would definitely recommend AWD and snow tires for those visiting in the middle of winter. There was a huge snowstorm during our visit and Michael was clear about when the plow would be visiting, although we did have to wait a few hours and shovel ourselves out a little bit, but there were shovels on the property to add to the ones we brought in our cars. We felt there was a longer list of checkout instructions compared to other properties but we also felt that Michael and Maggie provided a greater number and higher quality of amenities such as a fully stocked kitchen and bar area. We would definitely visit again to try out the hot tub and boat in the summer. Thank you to the hosts for sharing your home with us for the weekend!

Cheryl’s home was absolutely a “piece of heaven”! Her home is beautiful and in the loveliest spot right on the water! Everything was spotless when we arrived, with a welcome note from our hosts with their contact information. The house was exactly as described - comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, great family room with tv. The outside was perfect - fire pit with lots of chairs, gas grill, dock for easy access to the water! They had several kayaks available! The pond was clear and calm. Cheryl and Mike we gracious hosts, very responsive but gave us plenty of privacy. Se would highly recommend their home!

Great location! Beautiful place! We are local so it was great coming back to this pond and seeing how well they’ve kept it over the last 50+ years. We would definitely come back!

Amazing! We stayed for 9 days and felt right at home. The space was very welcoming, clean, and overall just beautiful inside and out. The view of the lake was incredible! There is plenty to do near by and lots of food options. We highly recommend!!
