Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Mission Bay

I am a San Diego local, but my family was coming to town and we needed more space. I picked this place because I knew my sister and brother-in-law would love being able to walk to all the restaurants and brewery nearby and my 6 year old nephew would get a lot of use out of the pool. The place exceeded my expectations, it was perfect for everyone. We spent a lot of time in the backyard swimming or playing board games, and my Mom got a lot of use out of the hot tub. Communication with the host was excellent and the place was comfortable and clean. The only downside is my family might visit too often now!

We really enjoyed are time at the beach house. It was a great location and very close to every where we wanted to go. It is absolutely a beautiful place to stay with family.

Beautiful home with plenty of space. Vanessa was very responsive and helpful with check in. I had made a request to check in early due to travelling with an infant and when I arrived she had a packnplay and a high chair set up for me. The house had several toys/books for kids along with beach chairs and shades for us to use. The pool and spa was beautiful and kept very clean. There is also a walking path at the end of the street that goes along the beach and leads to pacific beach within 15-20 minutes. Its hard to find a house this spacious and close to pacific beach for this price, would highly recommend to anyone. The host was incredibly friendly and responsive to messages which is always nice when travelling from far away.

My family and I were very excited because we were traveling to SD to meet my biological father for the first time since finding him almost 3 years ago. We chose Shawn's BnB because we instantly fell in love with the shaded and secluded backyard. We enjoyed our stay and it served as a great place to chill out, relax, and get to know my dad while playing a few card/board games. The cheery on top was the fabulous weekend weather, which was 40+ degrees cooler than our home in Phoenix, AZ.

The place was wonderful… garage was awesome everything was perfect… but the location… to die for honestly!! Can’t wait to stay there again! Thank you so much Justin!

Lori's place was a great spot near Mission Beach. She and her team were very responsive and friendly. They allowed us to check in a few minutes early to accomodate our toddler. They had a pack n' play, as well as plenty of kids books available. The rooftop was great, and the space was clean and as advertised. The stairs were a bit tricky with a two year old (there were a lot of them) but we knew that going into it. Overall, a family friendly spot with great proximity to the beach and local restaurants and coffee! They also had boogie boards and chairs for the beach, which was a nice bonus. I would recommend!

I wanted to move in and stay forever. When I saw the giant bird sculptures in the photos, I was a little unsure, but they make for a great atmosphere. The murals and personal touches are fantastic for a great vacation spot. Sandra was an amazing host and even picked up a graduation decoration package for us and put those up, so it was one less thing to do during busy, busy graduation time. The rooftop deck and the third floor make it a great place for family and teenagers. The beds are very comfortable, the master shower is perfect, and everything was sparkling clean. We loved the quiet neighborhood, and parking both in the garage and on the street was easy. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this stay.

We enjoyed our stay at The Carriage House! The intentional thought to detail in the home is very noticeable and appreciated! We had everything we needed in the space and it was exactly as pictured and clean! Endless options of restaurants at walking distance, close to event venues, very highflying recommend staying here. I did want to note to other travelers: the listing says the property has 2 free parking spots on premises but there actually isn’t, it’s just for loading and unloading, and parking on the street is where you park. We had a bit of difficulty because there was construction going on but otherwise I wouldn’t say it was a hassle.

We had a great stay at Laura’s place! It was an awesome location! We loved the vibe and the at home feel. Everything we needed was provided. Beds were super comfortable, and the entire place was very clean. Having a parking space was also very convenient! Laura was really attentive to any questions, and I can tell that the comfort level of her guests matters to her. Would definitely stay here again!

Jonathan's place is INCREDIBLE! Not a long walk to the beach and a park nearby and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly as well. He has 2 AC units which can help keep living room and bedroom cool. He's really responsive and overall a great host. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm town if it's available!!

We had a great stay! The hosts were very responsive at all times and we had a great time. They had all the amenities mentioned and were very proactive with instructions and recommendations. As a group of six people we had a comfortable and great stay!

I recently stayed at Hector's Airbnb and had a fantastic experience. The communication with Hector was excellent; he was always quick to respond and very helpful. The space itself is beautiful, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. I was pleasantly surprised to find bathroom essentials provided, including body wash, shampoo, sunscreen, and even bath salts for a luxurious soak. It truly added a special touch to my stay. Additionally, street parking was easy to find, which made my arrival and departure hassle-free. I highly recommend staying at Hector's place for a wonderful getaway.

Stood at Julian’s place with my partner and our two children. It was perfect for the four of us. The ac units in the living room and master bedroom work extremely well. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the amenities you would need during your stay. We didn’t get to use the patio but it’s very large and peaceful. The outdoor lights look nice at night, too. Access to the property with the enclosed gate is easy to access. I reached out to Julian as there was a misunderstanding regarding the streaming services — I thought an account was already logged in but he confirmed that we would need to log in to our own accounts, which we did and didn’t take too long. Just keep this in mind in case you don’t have any of the listed streaming services. :) Overall, it was a great stay and we wouldn’t mind returning again in the future.

This home was perfect for our intergenerational family gathering. There was space (and enough bathrooms) to accommodate all of us without being in each other's way but also being able to gather in our larger family group when needed. The location with views of the mountains was relaxing and reenergizing for the holiday with family members coming from all over. Although there were various spaces throughout the house, the kitchen area was a definite gathering space and accommodated well for people to be together and doing different things: cooking and preparing a meal, sitting and chatting, working on a laptop, reading in the family room not too far away. I appreciated the communication prior, throughout, and after our stay.

We stayed here for my bachelorette party during the summer and were very happy with our stay! The house was clean, cute, and slept everyone comfortably. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

Beautiful property and surroundings. Loved all of the plants and fruit trees around the property! The pool and hot tub were well kept and we had a blast! We were a big group, I loved how many lounge areas this property had. We never felt cramped or like we didn’t have space/chairs for everyone. Beds were super comfortable - way more comfortable than you usually expect at a rental. The host was super responsive and it seemed like they had thought of everything!

Liam and Mia were lovely! They were very communicative and responsive to all my inquiries before and during our stay. The place was immaculate and everything exceeded our expectations. There were also plenty of extra towels and comforters, which was a big plus for our group of 10. Definitely recommend!

This was a beautiful place overlooking the airport and water! It was really cool to watch airplanes take off and land from the living room. The host was super nice and very responsive. I’d definitely come back here :)

Sheila’s beautiful villa was absolutely what we needed after a long exhausting day with two toddlers at Legoland. We had stayed at a residence before here so we knew the layout and amenities more or less. It’s exactly what we expected and more. The beautiful pools (with a baby friendly pool), the kids club, the beautiful views, the delicious on-site restaurants, complimentary fruit-infused water, the adorable stuffed animal seals for the kids, and more. We loved that the kids could stay in the living room. Sheila had provided two cribs that were already set up prior to our arrival. The check-in was super smooth! We communicated for days before our arrival and we felt really happy with everything!!! We loved the amenities and after Legoland, we needed a bit of luxury and rest for ourselves. Thank you again for letting us stay in your lovely villa.

Had a fantastic stay after our wedding here- great place to unwing & relax. We especially cherished the clean pool, super comfy bed & jaccuzzi with mountain view.
