Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Mission Bay

I am a San Diego local, but my family was coming to town and we needed more space. I picked this place because I knew my sister and brother-in-law would love being able to walk to all the restaurants and brewery nearby and my 6 year old nephew would get a lot of use out of the pool. The place exceeded my expectations, it was perfect for everyone. We spent a lot of time in the backyard swimming or playing board games, and my Mom got a lot of use out of the hot tub. Communication with the host was excellent and the place was comfortable and clean. The only downside is my family might visit too often now!

Beautiful home with plenty of space. Vanessa was very responsive and helpful with check in. I had made a request to check in early due to travelling with an infant and when I arrived she had a packnplay and a high chair set up for me. The house had several toys/books for kids along with beach chairs and shades for us to use. The pool and spa was beautiful and kept very clean. There is also a walking path at the end of the street that goes along the beach and leads to pacific beach within 15-20 minutes. Its hard to find a house this spacious and close to pacific beach for this price, would highly recommend to anyone. The host was incredibly friendly and responsive to messages which is always nice when travelling from far away.

Fantastic week in San Diego! Our two families and our dogs spent a great week at Adam's place in Mission Beach. The location was perfect, right in between the ocean and the bay, so either are only a couple minutes walk. The house was very comfortable and offered many amenities. We especially appreciated the outdoor space - rooftop living, ground floor patio, multiple balconies. The beds were comfortable and the layout offered good separation between living and sleeping areas. There are three flights of stairs which we didn't mind at all, but anyone with mobility issues would have trouble with that. Our trucks wouldn't fit in the garage (we were aware of this before coming down) but found ample overnight parking nearby on El Carmel Pl. We mostly walked everywhere because there is so much so close, but also brought a couple cruisers down so we could ride beach side or bay side if we wanted to. Highly recommend this home for a beach vacation!

Awesome host very responsive has a very clean property and it was great for a family with small kids or big kids and very close to beach to walk to and nice relaxing area

Shawn’s place was absolutely amazing! We stayed here for a small girls trip and it was in a great location with two shopping center and gas stations near by for a quick stop in case you forgot anything (which we did haha). It’s a lovely home that allowed us to truly reset while being able to go out to the various restaurants Shawn recommended. Would definitely stay here again.

I wanted to move in and stay forever. When I saw the giant bird sculptures in the photos, I was a little unsure, but they make for a great atmosphere. The murals and personal touches are fantastic for a great vacation spot. Sandra was an amazing host and even picked up a graduation decoration package for us and put those up, so it was one less thing to do during busy, busy graduation time. The rooftop deck and the third floor make it a great place for family and teenagers. The beds are very comfortable, the master shower is perfect, and everything was sparkling clean. We loved the quiet neighborhood, and parking both in the garage and on the street was easy. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this stay.

The place was perfect and extremely family friendly. My kids loved the place and they are not kidding about the house being stocked with everything you need to cook with! Awesome location and took a large truck and suv and we were able to park at the house. House was clean and spacious for us. Enjoyed are stay and hope to come back! Thank you Jarrod and Maria!

It was great to be able to walk to the beach! They have a wagon and very comfy chairs and umbrella to take to the beach too. It was very cozy. Light on spices if you’re planning to cook. Outside patio was great when we grilled one evening. Very secure and quiet. Aaron was a great host!

We enjoyed our stay at The Carriage House! The intentional thought to detail in the home is very noticeable and appreciated! We had everything we needed in the space and it was exactly as pictured and clean! Endless options of restaurants at walking distance, close to event venues, very highflying recommend staying here. I did want to note to other travelers: the listing says the property has 2 free parking spots on premises but there actually isn’t, it’s just for loading and unloading, and parking on the street is where you park. We had a bit of difficulty because there was construction going on but otherwise I wouldn’t say it was a hassle.

We had a great stay at Laura’s place! It was an awesome location! We loved the vibe and the at home feel. Everything we needed was provided. Beds were super comfortable, and the entire place was very clean. Having a parking space was also very convenient! Laura was really attentive to any questions, and I can tell that the comfort level of her guests matters to her. Would definitely stay here again!

Jonathan's place is INCREDIBLE! Not a long walk to the beach and a park nearby and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly as well. He has 2 AC units which can help keep living room and bedroom cool. He's really responsive and overall a great host. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm town if it's available!!

We had a great stay! The hosts were very responsive at all times and we had a great time. They had all the amenities mentioned and were very proactive with instructions and recommendations. As a group of six people we had a comfortable and great stay!

Beautiful apartment just as pictured. We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is clean and spacious. Mark was very friendly and responded quickly to any questions we had. Great location not too far from La Jolla.

I wish I had more than 1000 characters because this place was incredible! The history in Barrio-Logan was unmatched compared to staying in the Gaslamp area. Hector left great recommendations, had a clean and spacious area, and was so responsive and flexible with check in! Couldn’t recommend this Airbnb or host more.

I stayed for a week in late May to early June at this Airbnb hosted by Janet and Scott. Booking and communication were smooth and easy. I arrived early and was able to store my bags at the main building for $15 while I explored. The location is amazing—close to restaurants, bars, and the beach, with easy Uber access. Parking is limited, so a car isn’t necessary unless you’re going farther out. The place looks just like the photos—small but functional, with a full kitchen and a pull-out couch that worked fine. There were a few gnats and the Keurig didn’t work, but great coffee shops are nearby. Laundry is coin-operated: $4 for the washer, $2.25 for the dryer. I got change and detergent down the street with no issue. Despite some gloomy weather, I felt safe and enjoyed my stay. I’d recommend it and would definitely return! Thanks Janet and Scott!

This home was perfect for our intergenerational family gathering. There was space (and enough bathrooms) to accommodate all of us without being in each other's way but also being able to gather in our larger family group when needed. The location with views of the mountains was relaxing and reenergizing for the holiday with family members coming from all over. Although there were various spaces throughout the house, the kitchen area was a definite gathering space and accommodated well for people to be together and doing different things: cooking and preparing a meal, sitting and chatting, working on a laptop, reading in the family room not too far away. I appreciated the communication prior, throughout, and after our stay.

Our extended family enjoyed a wonderful stay at this beautiful, clean, and well-equipped AirBnb. The AirBnb is thoughtfully designed with lots of lux features. It is conveniently located close to activities around the area and had everything we needed to relax after a long day of sightseeing. The family enjoyed the pool, sauna, gym, and spacious kitchen and living areas — something for everyone! It was super helpful to have access to a washer and dryer and we noticed there were high chairs, a pack and play, and a stroller for those with younger kids. We highly recommend!

Beautiful property and surroundings. Loved all of the plants and fruit trees around the property! The pool and hot tub were well kept and we had a blast! We were a big group, I loved how many lounge areas this property had. We never felt cramped or like we didn’t have space/chairs for everyone. Beds were super comfortable - way more comfortable than you usually expect at a rental. The host was super responsive and it seemed like they had thought of everything!

Liam and Mia were lovely! They were very communicative and responsive to all my inquiries before and during our stay. The place was immaculate and everything exceeded our expectations. There were also plenty of extra towels and comforters, which was a big plus for our group of 10. Definitely recommend!

This was a beautiful place overlooking the airport and water! It was really cool to watch airplanes take off and land from the living room. The host was super nice and very responsive. I’d definitely come back here :)

This place was the perfect spot for my bachelorette party. I have truly not had a more perfect Airbnb stay than this one! The house felt so private and secluded so we felt very safe in the gated property. The management team was the best I’ve ever seen (and I love luxurious spots and I work in hospitality.) it was truly 5/5 stars. They were immediately responsive, they fixed any issues immediately and they were very generous with their time and amenities. This is the perfect house. Only note I would have is maybe there should be more towels available for guests - we were a little limited on towels. Thank you!!!!!

Sheila’s beautiful villa was absolutely what we needed after a long exhausting day with two toddlers at Legoland. We had stayed at a residence before here so we knew the layout and amenities more or less. It’s exactly what we expected and more. The beautiful pools (with a baby friendly pool), the kids club, the beautiful views, the delicious on-site restaurants, complimentary fruit-infused water, the adorable stuffed animal seals for the kids, and more. We loved that the kids could stay in the living room. Sheila had provided two cribs that were already set up prior to our arrival. The check-in was super smooth! We communicated for days before our arrival and we felt really happy with everything!!! We loved the amenities and after Legoland, we needed a bit of luxury and rest for ourselves. Thank you again for letting us stay in your lovely villa.
