GODA. Island Hideaway on Svartsö

Fish and bathe in the lake, heat up in the sauna, do yoga and long table dinners in the orangery and sleep under the stars in the cabin. Named GODA ('good'), this is a wonderful place to get back to nature. GODA is a twist on “good” (gott in Swedish/god in Danish); an island hide-out for curious young souls like yourself demanding goodness for nature, self and others. We build GODA in 2016-2018 and she continues to grow and evolve as you will see if you visit her. GODA comfortably hosts 7 people in beds (plus 2 kids beds and 2 baby beds) in the main house and 6 people in Mini GODA. Our latest newcomer with own kitchen, bathroom and space. So a total of 13 adults and 4 kids can enjoy the space collectively, then using madrases on the floor, in the Orangerie or on the benches in the relax room in the sauna to accommodate additional people. The rent is primarily for the main cabin and if a larger group than 7, also for Mini GODA. If you want to access the sauna, orangeri and hot tub, please let us know in advance and we can arrange that, however, the hot tub should be used for stays longer than 4 nights and depends the water level in the lake. The sauna might be rented out by the island hotel during your stay, unless you specifically would like the privacy. In that case, please let us know. The only immediate neighbors are the fascinating fauna that can be discovered all around. There's easy access from the mainland, with boats running all year long. The best access point is on the north side of the island. There are only about 10 cars on the island, all with special permission, so please park your car on one of the main island access points, e.g. Vaxholm (for best access to the house via the north side), Åsättra (Ljusterö) brygga or Boda. You can rent bikes to get around from the grocery store or the hotel (the hotel is only 300m walk from the ground) Easy access from the main land with boats running all year around. The best access is on the North side of the island. To check out times go to https://waxholmsbolaget.se/ The hot tub can be used for longer stays than 4 nights and is subject to water supply as it can be very scare on the island during the summer. Enjoy the lake in the summer!

Unique beach house in sunny location with sauna

Enjoy this unique and peaceful space with the sea at your feet. Take a boat to surrounding islands, run or walk on the trails, sauna at the sunset in your own wood-fired sauna at the end of the jetty or swim by the beach, it's nature experiences at their best. Shop is on the island so you can pack lightly, get out into the archipelago with the ferry that runs several times a day and just enjoy! Small motor boat included in the reservation. Also ping pong table and boule court! The house is available and warm all year round! Welcome!

Distance to Stockholm 1.5 hours by bus and about 1 hour by car. Close to 18-hole golf course. Essential spots on Ljusterö: The Nature Reserve on Östra Lagnö with a cliff bath and carving yard. Linanäs community with restaurant and boat connection with Stockholm via Vaxholm. Siaröfortet is accessed by boat connection from Östanå.

Enjoy nature when you stay at this unique place. You stay in our glamping/dome tent with room for two. No temporary unbooked visits allowed on the property beyond the two. A wonderful little cottage on the Södermömöja with a lake view. Suitable for couples or small families, or the individual traveler who wants it a little more luxurious. On the about 20 sqm there is well equipped kitchen with sink, fridge, hot water and dining table for 5. The living room has a sofa bed that can be pulled out to the double bed as well as a single bed. A modern shower room is in the barn next door and shared with the other guest house. The guesthouse has its own dry box.

Cosy cottage on a beautiful woodland plot. It has a secluded location at a height next to the forest. Fresh furniture and all amenities one can wish for. Drinkingwater comes from our own source and taste fantastic! Close to nice sea baths and possibility to go around Gula Vindövarvet, a beautiful walking path of 10 km through forest and along the sea. If you want to enjoy fresh air, peace & quiet, birds chiping and starry nights you've come to the right place!

We had a great stay. The house is spacious and offers a lot to do both inside and out. Really quick and easy path down to the lake and only ever a 15-20 mins walk from everything Ingmarsö has to offer.

We had a great stay with our family. Very nice atmosphere on the island with no cars. All within walking distance. Not super easy to get to the island but worth the travel

The sea cottage at Äpplarö

The small private beach right by the house is very nice. The warm shower overlooking the sea makes bathing in the sea a highlight even on cooler days. Lise-Lotte and her family are incredibly hospitable. It is not a matter of course to be picked up from the ferry dock. The welcome was very very warm and we were grateful that Lise-Lotte transported our luggage to the accommodation. If you are looking for peace and an island with great hiking trails and swimming spots, this is the place to be. We would keep coming back!

We're so happy we rented this cabin - it's been way beyond what we expected! Plus, Pontus has really great taste and created the perfect setup for unplugging and relaxing. We're actually feeling nostalgic about leaving this place already.

Sea Cabin with its own beach. Minimum 2 nights

We stayed two nights with Lena and Richard in their nice and very charming house in early June 2025. The house is small but has the amenities needed and is fantastically located right by the water. Sitting at the edge of the dock under the alder tree is almost like being abroad. Lena and Rochard are very nice, thoughtful and care about the guests having a good time. Top hosts, simply, and we will gladly come again.

The house standard is high and the location is beautiful. It’s the perfect get away! The only thing that wasn’t clear in description was that 1 bedroom is “inside” the other bedroom, so not fully private. We certainly recommend the stay.
