Fossardalur Guesthouse - Room 5

NicoleRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The cutest little farm in eastern Iceland. This was definitely one of my favorite farm stays during my trip to Iceland. Anya at check in was so warm and friendly and told me about a short little 20 minute hike on their property to see a small little waterfall among the Lupines. I would definitely stay here again when I take my next trip to Iceland.

Great location, easy walk to attractions and restaurants, other occupants of the hostel were courteous, friendly, and left the common areas as clean and organized as they found it.
A cozy sitting area is equipped with red leather couches arranged around a dark wooden coffee table. Black and white photographs adorn the walls, and built-in shelves display books and decorative items. Natural light streams in through the large window, complementing the greenery present.

KEX Hostel Reykjavík - Bed in a 16-bed dorm

GuillaumeRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Perfect hostel for a tight young budget (especially in this country where everything is expensive) Unbeatable value for money. Great welcome 24/7. High school locker available to drop off your belongings (take your own padlock to avoid buying one from them) The restaurant and bar are under construction (for a few more months) which is a shame because the exchanges and meetings/discussions are mostly close to the rooms and in the kitchen, which can make a lot of people in the same place and a lot of noise especially in late hours. They offer essential (free) boul quies of course. Well located hostel within a 10min walk, you can explore a good part of the city, at least the most interesting neighborhoods. Thanks to the hosts for their advice (a storm occurred during my stay, delaying my flight by a day) weather and directions during this exceptional situation.
The room features a double bed and bunk beds, providing ample sleeping space for guests. A desk with a lamp occupies one corner, while a large wall map adds interest. Natural light enters through windows, creating a warm and accommodating environment.

Twin room in perfect city center location

DawnRating, 5 stars44 months ago
This is centrally located and within walking distance to downtown Reykjavik. The room was as described as well as very clean and sanitized. The check-in and Check-out were both so smooth as I was provided with very detailed information prior to arriving. There were multiple bathrooms/showers, very clean and sanitized as well. I would highly recommend the location for your stay in Reykjavik.

Bright Twin Room in Best Downtown Location!

DanteRating, 5 stars48 months ago
Aldi’s has a wonderfully clean and organized rooms. Their check system is safe and easy. I would recommend for anyone who is looking for affordable options and who don’t mind being away from the busyness but want to enjoy a chill and quiet location. They have all the little perks and amenities too. There is parking available and it is close enough to everything. Whether it’s the port or downtown area or some other destination you are not too far away. Have fun on your travels, y’all!

2 BEDS shared 4 BED dorm, rooftop HOT TUB + SAUNA

ShawnRating, 5 stars25 months ago
Booked Midgard because of the glowing reviews. Was a little nervous about the shared dorm rooms as I was traveling with a 9 year old, but we ended up having the room to ourselves. The place has a nice atmosphere and seems to be frequented by mostly young travelers who are friendly. There’s a shared kitchen that always seemed to be packed with people so we just ate at the restaurant. It was delicious but expensive (~$35 USD for a burger and small desert). The vibe here is why you come. Really wished the time limit for the rooftop hot tub and sauna was later than 10pm, as it was still light out at that time, but the staff did allow us to stay until 10:40. Showers were clean and private. I was worried that it would be a competition to snag one of the seemingly limited shared bathrooms but there never was. This is a great place to meet other travelers as it draws a certain, friendlier type. The staff seemed to be well taken care of as they were equally friendly.
A well-lit entryway features a staircase with crisp white railings leading to the upper floor. A simple light fixture hangs from the ceiling, while a wooden door with glass panels is visible, inviting guests into the home.

Double/Twin room in amazing downtown location

SergioRating, 5 stars69 months ago
The house is very nicely located and clean. Although there are many rooms and guests, there is no problem using the bathroom or showers as there is a sink and two bathrooms. Whenever I needed to use them they were available For check-in you have to pick up the keys in a lockbox, which is very good because you can check in whenever you want and without disturbing anyone. The only downside was to stay with us while they renovate the house as the noise was annoying and there were workers around. As for everything else, everything has been going well. I would repeat
A bright bedroom is presented with two spacious beds, each topped with white linens and vibrant green pillows. A bedside table is positioned beside each bed, featuring a softly glowing lamp. Natural light enters through a nearby window, lending a serene ambiance to the space.
