Family-friendly vacation rentals in Homestead Valley

I saw the pics, read about the IndigoTopia and didn't know what I was getting myself into., it was a literally Zen Den. My vibrations are SO high I can barely handle being this happy after our experience at Karli and her families property. The energy is buzzing, literally. Everything is in bloom. The location is at a perfect height as far as having a healthy happy breeze to keep things/us cool. There are rock sculptures, statues, crystals galore, buddhas literally laid into the concrete around the property. We saw rabbits, quail families and a roadrunner. I cannot state how incredibly pleased we are and am so thrilled about someday going back. I literally love IndigoTropia and want one of my own!!! Keep it up Karli and family, you have created a real treasure in the RimRock/Pioneertown area, a real gem, a crystal x 1M! :-)

Nice spot for a small family. We felt at home and very relaxed. Really nice pool with a great view of the city. Lots of chill sitting areas throughout the house.

Absolutely stunning place. Can’t wait to stay there again. Beautiful, peaceful and has it all. Oh and the swimming pool is perfect. Bigger than in the photos.

Coreys dome house is the best styled Airbnb I have rented- its gorgeous with tasteful and interesting art & curiosities. It feels more like staying in a cool friends' home than a rental home. We took great use of the hot tub and well equipped kitchen and the very convenient entrance to Joshua Tree Park.

The home was clean and quiet. The air conditioning worked very well in the desert heat. This is a great place to stay if you have dogs, as the property is fully fenced in. The host was very helpful with finding the location and checking in.

Absolutely stunning home & property. We come to Joshua tree area a lot but this is the best Airbnb we’ve stayed at. Worth every penny. There are so many added touches that make it feel like a resort! Went with another couple and it’s the perfect place for two couples to go for a get away- exactly equal sized rooms/bathrooms/robes for 4. Felt like we still had some privacy while sharing a home. Super close to Pappys & red dog (like 10 min drive) and 15 or so minutes to the main strip with restaurants/shops/vintage store. We can’t wait to come back.

This was a last-minute find and I couldn’t be more happier. In the middle of nowhere, the sweetest desert escape. Cute cabin vibes, exactly like pictured. The only thing I wish is I had more than one night there. I will definitely going back.

We stayed two nights to explore Joshua Tree. It is an approx. 10 minute drive to get in the park but approx. 30-50 minutes to get to the sights Joshua Tree has to offer (such as Cholla Cactus Garden). I loved all the tiny details that were put in the apartment. Even a layout including exit doors was available as well as a welcome book with all important details.😊 The kitchen was fully equipped and all amenities described on the listing were available.

We were only there for one night but it was perfect! Will come back and stay at this location again hopefully!!

This was our second stay here. It’s so beautiful, clean, quiet, and a perfect location. The views are amazing, especially at night. It’s safe and feels remote but isn’t far from JTNP.

Our second trip to The Rosy Boa just ended and we can’t wait to come back! It’s such a comfortable, relaxing spot - a perfect home base for Joshua Tree adventuring. Thank you for having us!

Really cool place…peace and quiet, nice views, close to the park. Very roomy inside and very well insulated. We opened all the windows at night and closed them all before we left for the park. The place was still nice and cool inside when we got back. Breakfast on the front porch, outstanding. We would highly recommend this place.

This was our first time in Joshua Tree, and quite honestly I can’t imagine a better place to have stayed. The house itself feels as though it was built from the surrounding area - incredibly homey while also being stylish. It was extremely comfortable and it was in the perfect location. The view is incredible and the sunsets and sunrises are precious. Cannon the host was wonderful to communicate with and was very friendly. I would recommend this stay to anyone.

My husband and I stayed at Heike and Georg’s cozy desert home for a birthday staycation and it was everything we could have hoped for! The temperature was perfect to make use of the pool and the privacy made spending lots of outdoor time all the better. Aside from the pool, we loved the homey and curated decor which left us feeling creative and inspired throughout the trip. Heike and Georg were very accommodating, even giving us an early check in so we could make the most of our trip. They were also very responsive with all of our questions and made our stay that much better.

This is the 4th time we have stayed here. We love it!! There is a hill of boulders that leaves me breathless every time I look at it. To see this hill with the rare Big Horned Sheep, takes me over the top emotionally. We also love the landscaping with the natural desert in mind. The house is decorated to fit the desert and the most well equipped Airbnb we,’ve ever stayed at. We spent a lot of time out in the patio watching the Chuckwallas, Roadrunners, Quail and Big Horned Sheep. There’s a ton of birds also. When it got warm, we went in the pool. The temperature of the water was perfect. Super refreshing on a hot day.

Diane was an incredible host! Her and the Hidden Passage crew have created such a beautiful and peaceful oasis and made mine and my partner’s anniversary vacation an absolute dream! It truly felt like we were removed from society for a small moment and that’s exactly what we needed. The property was so well managed and kept so pristine! Every staff member we met on site was so kind and extremely helpful! I could not recommend this place enough! Also the pool rocks, we spent every single day in it!

Fantastic!!!! Our vacation at Oded’s place in Yucca Valley exceeded our expectations. Oded provided excellent directions and instructions on how to enter the property and responded quickly if we had a question. The interior of the house is clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and the kitchen has everything you will need. We especially enjoyed the espresso machine. 😊 The exterior is even more amazing. Plenty of furniture for lounging; the saltwater pool is perfect for swimming or just relaxing. Sitting in the jacuzzi at night and watching the stars was incredible. An added treat were the two owls that showed up each night and sat in the nearby Yucca Trees. We highly recommend Oded’s place and will definitely return.

We enjoyed our night at this wonderful little spot while visiting Joshua tree. It was nice and close to the Yucca valley town ship which made getting to restaurants etc easy. The view and surrounds were gorgeous. Everything was clean modern and comfortable, with a nice homely feel. We wish we had longer there!

The pool and hot tub were so dreamy! We had a great time lounging by the pool all day long. We brought an extra pop-up tent because it was nice to have extra shade near the pool in the desert sun. The dome stayed really cool and the sound-scape was a fun touch to conversations! The location allowed for really enjoying the desert and views. There were plentiful towels provided and the kitchen was well stocked. Stephanie answered any questions quickly! Stephanie does not allow guests to change the number of guests by night like some airbnbs do. I share this as this is likely a common place to book for large groups, in which schedules may vary. You will have to pay for the highest number of guests present during your stay, even if the next night is much lower. So it may affect afforability. There are no pics of the inside of the trailers - they are just rooms, not set up like the original trailer format. Still nice, but dont get excited that they will be a real eclectic trailer setup.

My friends and I had so much fun here it’s a beautiful property and I think it healed me haha it has everything you could want in a little get away :) would just say the only issue we had was one of the rooms doesn’t have black out curtains so bring sleep eye masks luckily I had one but we will definitely be back loved it !

My girlfriend and I stayed at Tamara’s place and absolutely loved it. Everything was super clean, and the space was thoughtfully designed. Be sure to make time to enjoy the amenities—we especially loved the cowboy pool, the spa, and the beautiful outdoor area. You can tell that Tamara put a lot of care into the decoration and layout. Outside, we appreciated the shade provided by the plants and trees, which made the space feel peaceful and private. The pond was a beautiful touch, and we enjoyed watching birds stop by for a drink.The kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to cook meals. There’s AC in both the master bedroom and the living room, which kept the house cool and comfortable. Our favorite spot was the sunroom, along with all the charming vintage details throughout the home. Tamara was a fantastic host—very accommodating and even let us check in early. We definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting Joshua Tree!
