Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Golden Valley

The owners are very kind and helpful, and the unit was perfect for a short stay of our group of seven. The neighbors are *extremely* sensitive to any sound at night, so this is not the place you want if you want to socialize in the back yard, or even if you’re just coming home after 10pm with kids who might not be able to be completely silent on the way into the house.

Clean and quiet place. Great location. Overall 5 stars. It is a lower level walkout unit, so you can sometimes hear activity from upstairs. That said, it was a great place that we would recommend. Also, once in the unit it did not feel like a lower level at all.

Nami’s place is close to plenty of grocery stores by foot or bus, the bus stop is right around the corner which is very convenient. Safe suburban neighborhood with beautiful scenery, it takes about 20-30min bus ride to uptown. It’s easy to get help since Paul works from home, their dog is super friendly! I also met her family members time from time when they stayed for dinner. It’s pretty spacious in the basement, and they have everything you need stored.The backyard is absolutely divine in the summer!

It was cold one night and my kids wanted to have a swim after dark. Samantha's husband came over and turned the heat up on the pool to make sure we could have a swim and create some great memories. Samantha was extremely responsive and flexible with check-in time. Everything was clean and beautiful. They also had nice sound bars and subwoofers on both televisions to make movies on the big TVs that much better. My kids raved about how nice the house was and how much fun they were having. This home was immaculate and ideal for a trip with my husband, 3 kids and mother in law. The big dining table was perfect for big family meals and for game night using the home’s stocked game cabinet! The kids loved the waffle bar that the host provided and the grownups loved the local coffee beans Jesse left for us. A great place to stay with the family!

The house was exactly like the pictures. The host was responsive and helpful from start to finish. My group really enjoyed the pool and the hot tub! It was a perfect place for a getaway!! Would definitely recommend!

The carriage house is an exceptional place to stay—spacious, attractively designed with high-end details throughout—you can tell David and Laurie pay close attention to providing a luxurious, comfortable stay. We loved spending several days here and can’t wait to stay again!!

My family and I selected Aaron and Colleen as hosts based on their five-star rating and safe location. However, we received more than what was expected. The first day, we were met with a personalized note, chocolates, and drinks in the fridge, including homemade cold brew! Such a thoughtful touch made us feel right at home. We were busy with family activities in the city, so we didn’t use the Peloton, hot tub, or sauna as expected. Still, returning to immaculate, extremely comfortable, stylish accommodation was lovely. The mattress was perfect! We also enjoyed listening to various records on the record player while playing cards and board games; it felt nostalgic. We enjoyed our stay, to say the least, and hope to revisit our experience at some future time.

This was a great space. Comfortable beds and furniture, and some great restaurants and a coffee shop within walking distance. Totally great space! No complaints at all.

The apartment was spotless and had all the listed amenities, Jean-Claude was communicative and helpful, and we felt safe and at home. Fantastic location to walk to restaurants and nearby universities. Also, loved the setup of the apartment- very easy to share between multiple people. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend.

Enjoyed our stay at Sydney’s place. She was very helpful and it was a cozy home! Lovely town and definitely need to try the smash burgers at Washington Square!

Everything was lovely! Only thing, and I could have missed this, I was not aware it was a duplex and we were slightly worried we would be too loud. When we arrived Debbie’s mother greeted us immediately to let us know that if we needed anything she was downstairs. The home was beautiful, and overall no complaints.

Roger and Vicki were responsive, friendly hosts. They were eager to ensure that we had everything we needed and flexible in working with us for check-in and check-out. We even received some homemade baked goods, a delightful bonus 😊 The unit was comfy and well-appointed. We loved the ability to allocate our rental donation at the Shelter with a Cause. As an added plus, we got to shelter in the basement with the hosts and some of their family members when the tornado sirens sounded just minutes after our arrival! We appreciated being taken care of so well 😊

This was a wonderfully charming Airbnb that was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully preserved vintage details! My fiancé and I rented for a week to be our home base during our wedding week (my hometown, currently out-of-state). JJ was super responsive, proactively gave clear instructions, and was super kind to leave us ample snacks (got in late) and celebrated our upcoming nuptials with a bottle of champagne, slippers, and an adorable oven mitt, spatula, and cookbook. Definitely above and beyond!!! The location felt safe with easy access to highways and it was walkable to a great coffee shop and within 10 minutes from our rehearsal dinner and wedding venue. Great value and would recommend and stay again!!! The only minor thing to note is that although the upstairs tenant was very quiet, I was woken up a few mornings by (a dog?) running around upstairs excitedly. The dog was well-behaved/quiet but because the house is older I did hear its weight shifting the floorboards around.

Tz’s home away from home was perfect for a family celebration at the University of MN. The home was only 20 min to our events. There was plenty of space for all 5 of us and a lovely, tranquil place to enjoy after our busy days in Minneapolis. Views of the lake were amazing and the best way to chill. Tz was responsive to all communications and let us grab an early check in to get to our event. I would book here again and highly recommend to friends and families. Thanks, TZ.

Extremely comfortable home in quiet surroundings but close to airport and twin cities So many decks, porches, rooms and nooks to sit, relax and gather. Good communication with host Highly recommend this place.

Arbers place was beautiful. We really enjoyed the great room, the movie theater and the hot tub. It was on a beautiful block with lots of trees right near minnehaha falls

We enjoyed our stay very much. The home and pool house were well stocked and clean. It felt private even though it's in the city and near attractions like the Mall of America, restaurants, and shopping. Our host was very quick to respond to any questions we had. They even had baby items and gates available for use. We would stay again.
