Vacation rentals with beach access in Edinburgh

I cannot say enough positive things about Russell and this flat! It was bigger than expected and the views were gorgeous! It’s close to a grocery store, tons of amazing restaurants, parks, and public transportation. Comfortable beds and couches. Two eating areas (one in front of a bay window which is wonderful to drink a cup of coffee/tea in the morning at). Russell was so friendly, helpful, and gave a ton of recommendations for attractions and eateries. Any questions we had, Russell got back in 15 minutes or less. This is an artist’s dream. Tons of natural light. Close to Arthur’s Seat (close to everything really)! Cute decor. So charming. Will recommend to others and will return! Thanks Russell, for everything! 🙏

Holly's place has excellent views and is very well situated for the buses to the city. The apartment is very light and airy and well equipped. Holly is an excellent host and was very quick to respond when we had a small problem, sorted very quickly. We had a really pleasant stay.

Brodie‘s place is absolutely amazing! The bathroom is super nice, with a large mirror, the bed is comfortable and we felt right at home. The location is also amazing, when you take the tram to the city center it takes you about 10 minutes. I can really recommend this place, it was worth every penny.

A fantastic location right by the water in South Queensferry, just steps from a bakery, coffee shops, restaurants. A few steps further to transit and a grocery store, and everything you need. We loved the stay, the whole place was really great, especially for a family. Two minor items: As international travellers, we rely on wifi to stay in touch with family and look things up. While wifi is advertised, it was extremely slow (tested multiple times) and spotty. The other item is that the floor is very squeaky throughout most of the flat. For most travellers, this will not be an issue, but if you have kids sleeping (as we did), it might keep them up (as we experienced). Other than those two items, we loved our stay and would stay again!

This was one of the best Airbnb places I've ever stayed at. The house was wonderful: super clean and well-kept. It was spacious and pretty, and the interior made it a cozy place to live in. The descriptions and pictures were fairly accurate, so we didn't come across any unwanted surprises. It was just exactly as expected, which is incredibly positive in this case. The host was super friendly, making sure that we were well instructed and taken care of. They responded right away and were always super thorough when answering. The location was also great; both close to the beach and a (relatively) big supermarket. In conclusion: we (me and my 2 friends) had a great stay, and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Edinburgh / Portobello!

Carla's place is a comfortable, attractive, and quaint way to have an "edge of the village" experience in Edinburgh while being an easy bus ride away from Princes Street and the center of the action. The Almond River and the Firth of Forth are easy strolls away, and can be enjoyed in the same morning walk. The cottage is clean, well provisioned, tastefully decorated and makes you quickly feel at home. The airport is close, but its traffic is rarely and only briefly disruptive. We would highly suggest this place, particularly for people who are comfortable and even eager to hop a bus to the City Center. We would love to stay with Carla again!

Can’t recommend this place enough, fantastic location with great views, lovely hosts and clean & tidy apartment. Easy access to Edinburgh and the airport, when I arrived I got a Taxi from the airport, if I’d have known how simple the tram/bus journey would have been I’d have done that, I did for my return journey. Local restaurants are lovely and welcoming (Saphire & Queens Spice), good pint in the Thirty Knots too! I arrived late in the day, to be welcome with bread and milk amongst other things was just wonderful, simple touch which went a long way! I would definitely return and recommend this to anyone looking Thank you to the host(s)

My Mum I had such a lovely stay at Dolly’s Place! The studio is beautifully laid out — everything feels thoughtfully designed. The bright kitchen was pristine and had everything we needed, and the decor throughout the space was tasteful, artful, and full of charm. The bathroom was absolutely gorgeous, and I have to say — the shower was hands down the best I’ve ever had! The location is also amazing — just a short walk to the beach, or to high street. Dolly was a wonderful host attentive, helpful, felt like chatting with a best friend! We would absolutely stay here again in a heart beat! Highly recommend!

Iona's place is gorgeous. It was more beautiful than we could have imagined. We were a party of 7, a family of 3 and a family of 4. Everyone had their own space. Her house is immaculate and very comfortable. You won't need a thing while staying there, the house has everything! With a bus stop right out front we could access all of Edinburgh easily. Portobello is a beautiful community and wonderful, peaceful place to return to after a busy day of sight-seeing. We loved St. Andrew's restaurant. Everyone in this area is very friendly and kind. We plan to return here next summer for sure. Iona was very helpful and kind, she was always available to contact if we needed her and very gracious and approachable. I can't say enough good things about our stay, it was our best holiday ever, much thanks to Iona and her beautiful home. I definitely recommend this location to anyone, especially families.

If we could rate Debbie’s place higher than a 5 we would😁. It was so clean and comfortable. We had 4 adults (2 couples) in our group. The beds are comfortable and it was wonderful to have 2 bathrooms. The kitchen has great cooking equipment and the extra little touches of cookies and availability of spices was very much appreciated. Thank you so much to Debbie and her sister 🥰

Very friendly and helpful hosts from the moment I booked with fast and helpful communication. The house was clean and comfortable for our family Christmas and looked exactly like the photos. The instructions for all the services and amenities we're clear. The area is quiet with excellent transport links - I would recommend for a stay in Edinburgh.

Charming one night stay after getting in late from the airport!

Very peaceful location and nice view of the forth bridges. Great to learn about the local history and ferry services over 100's of years.

We stayed at 63 Moubray Grove, South Queensferry for a Buissines trip and found the property well presented clean and tidy with all the modern amenities you could wish for in a quiet residential area. The property is easy to get to with local shops very close by also Dalmeny train station within an easy walk away. Nicky was extremely helpful and quick, easy communication.

Lovely stay in a walkable location for central Edinburgh. Clean place with everything we needed for our stay, able to cook a meal without issues. Responsive hosts. Perfect place for two couples to stay. Thank you to our hosts.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful and spacious apartment in Edinburgh! As a family of four, having three bathrooms was incredibly convenient and made our mornings so much easier. The apartment was well-equipped and very comfortable — we loved the amazing sound system and wide selection of channels. We especially enjoyed listening to music and playing card games together at the dining table. The location was perfect — just a few blocks from the bus stop and very close to Portobello, which was lovely to explore. The hosts were outstanding, responding to all of our questions quickly and making sure we had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. We would absolutely stay here again if we return to Edinburgh. Highly recommended!

This is a fun place to stay, in a quiet neighborhood with fairly reasonable parking options for those who are choosing to rent a car. Definitely take a look at bus routes etc, as we did not find this spot to be walkable to most highlited areas in Edinburgh. The bus was an easy 5 min walk from the space and we found it easy to navigate with Google Maps. Over all the places was very well kept, the host was fabulous. The Art in the home is ALL female paintings, books, posters etc... quirky or creepy you decide. So if you don't mind women staring you down from every window covering, painting, or poster then you'll enjoy your time in this art filled space.

Had a wonderful stay. The flat was exactly as described and maybe even nicer than the photos show it to be. Beds are comfortable, laundry in-unit is a huge convenience, and even the coffee selection was quite grand. Overall, very happy. Highly recommended.

Small cozy apartment in a quiet location. The center is easy to reach by train or you can explore Portobello on foot. Jamie was extremely friendly and helpful and responded quickly to messages.

We had a lovely stay. We used it as a base for exploring Edinburgh plus North Berwick. The train station was less than a 10 minute walk and the trains into Edinburgh are quite frequent. The accommodation came with free parking which is great. There is a supermarket within a 5 minute drive. The accommodation was very clean, all the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had every appliance that we needed. I would highly recommend and would happily visit again.

This Airbnb was great for a few nights in Edinburgh. Looked just like the photos and matched the descriptions perfectly. It’s a little far from the city centre but easy to get in to the city via bus or taxi. The host was super responsive and communicative.
