Family-friendly vacation rentals in Central California

This property is amazing in every way. There’s a view from the ocean from almost every room, beautiful tile work and gorgeous, well appointed bathrooms. A sauna and extra hot hot tub. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need. The house itself is beautiful with private spaces, but also a large living room where everyone can gather around a beautiful tiled potbelly fireplace. It’s a short walk to the beach through a charming neighborhood. The host Rebekah was very communicative and generous, allowed us flexible, check-in and check out. I will 100% be staying here again.

Tchukon and Carolyn’s home was great! We were a group of 7 and the space fit us all well. Extremely clean, I think the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. The hosts were responsive and included lots of helpful information for the house. Backyard is wonderful, and we all really enjoyed the hot tub, especially at sunset. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

Yeshi's home is a museum of colorful artwork from her travels around the world. Wonderful to be lulled to sleep by the ocean waves.

The home is beautiful!! It is private and secluded but just 2 blocks from the cute downtown shopping. It really is a special place. Old Spanish tudor style with lush landscape and beautiful hardscaping. We had a blast in the pool after after hiking and biking at Yosemite. We used all the wonderful amenities, basketball, pickleball, ping pong, pool and hot tub. The 4 bedrooms were large with very comfortable beds and high end linens and towels. The kitchen was very well stocked and fun to make our family dinners. Our group consensus was this place was our favorite vacation Airbnb

We loved the property and its proximity to the water and two large beaches. The house itself is thoughtfully decorated and has the furnishings and supplies just like it would if someone actually lived there rather than the typical Airbnb “shell” that only has the bare necessities (or less). We did have an unfortunate complication that occurred when we arrived. Things happen, but what matters more than anything is how a host handles an unexpected event. Jay was kind, understanding, and empathetic and did everything needed to make things right. We will absolutely be back.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage! The garden is full of flowers and eucalyptus trees, and the spa is peaceful and private. The space is bright, very clean, and has all the amenities you could need. The bed was super comfortable and the comforter nice and warm. We especially loved the owner’s artwork displayed throughout the cottage—it adds such a personal touch. The hosts were incredibly responsive and kind. Tilden Park is just 10 minutes away and perfect for nature walks. We really enjoyed our time here and would absolutely come back!

This was my second stay at this cozy cabin near Yosemite, and once again, it did not disappoint. The location is perfect—just a short drive to the park, which makes it super convenient for exploring. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The host was very responsive and attentive throughout the stay, making the experience smooth and stress-free. I’ll definitely be returning on future visits to Yosemite. Highly recommend!

We loved our two nights at Amy’s place with our two pups! I wish we would have planned to stay longer, there was a lot more to explore in the area! It was SO clean. We usually feel like we need to re-clean just to feel ok in Airbnb’s but Amy’s place felt like we were staying at a friend’s place that we trusted. The homemade delivered muffins were a treat and she gave us some awesome local recommendations. The bed was comfortable and it was super quiet!

Very thankful for this quaint experience! The kids loved the toys and the very kind neighbor helped make sure we had chargers for all the electric toys.

Don’t tell anyone else about this place!! Truly magical location and great hosts. I’d love to live there permanently!! Great communication and the place exceeded expectations. It’s better than the photos make it look!

Lilly and Jon are great hosts. Their ranch is absolutely stunning and something very special to experience. The nearby rolling hills and animals that you can interact with are priceless on their own. The amount of space you get is well worth the money. There is a bedroom with a king bed, entirely separate living room that has a sofa sleeper, coffee bar, and large bathroom. There is also an outdoor kitchen area that has more than you need for a short stay. I used to clean hotels and have a high standard of what clean looks like and I can honestly say I’ve never stayed somewhere that felt so clean which I was not expecting for a ranch stay. Looking forward to finding time to go back for another stay!

Great little stay with all the amenities needed for easy cooking and relaxing! Appreciated the grill and patio! Very lovely surrounding and trails less than a quarter mile away in the forest.

Beautiful spot tucked away in the trees, but so close to everything the area has to offer. We were only here for a brief one night stay, but wished we could have stayed longer! We will definitely be back. Was perfect for our quick stay with our pup and such a peaceful hideaway to recoup after a long drive. Walking distance to town for shops and restaurants, or a short drive. Tom was so kind and the cabin had all the thoughtful touches you hope for in an Airbnb experience. Couldn’t recommend more highly! We can’t wait for return for a longer stay.

We were visiting Yosemite and decided to stay at Pauline’s place. She immediately reminded us to make the reservation for the peak season entry. We would be able to visit the park without Pauline’s help! The backyard has a beautiful view and we loved the pet goats and dogs at Pauline’s place and had a great time interacting with them. Finally I have to comment on the ingenious design of the bathroom. The vanity area, shower area and the toilet were in a single room but well separated with walls which makes the rotation smooth and keeps the privacy when you have three guests. For example you don’t have to wait for the person finishing the toilet if you just want to use the vanity area

Chris is a consummate professional as a host. Condo was exactly as pictured, clean and freshly stocked with consumables. His instructions were very detailed and covered everything you could possibly consider. Location was extremely convenient - walking distance to supermarket and close to the entrance to town so easy to hop back on the 395 to check out the surrounding areas. Our kids loved his place. We would definitely stay at this condo again or any of the other Airbnb's that Chris manages.

My significant other and I had such a great stay! Fawzia was an incredibly warm and welcoming host — super easy to communicate with. Her husband was also very kind, and their sweet dog made me feel right at home. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. I also loved seeing all of their beautiful birds on the property — such a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. I would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend booking with Fawzia!

Wow! What a great place! The indoor pool was the best. It was so hot outside so being able to swim without sun and UV exposure was absolutely amazing. I have already recommended this place to friends for future adventures. ❤️

Great Stay – Ideal Location Between Yosemite and Sequoia The place was amazing and ideally located between Sequoia and Yosemite, making it extremely convenient for visiting both parks. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed (and more), making it easy to relax after long hikes. The waterfall pool and hot tub were perfect for unwinding. The only downside was that the AC wasn’t cooling quite enough during the day. We made it work by opening the windows in the evening to cool the house down before turning on the AC. Not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of. Overall, a great stay—would definitely recommend, especially for anyone looking to hit both national parks.

We had an amazing stay in this lovely home. The entire home was spotless, the running water was warm, and the property was peaceful. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to get away.

Place is beautiful inside and out. The only thing I didn’t like is that rooms don’t have a curtains, a sheer curtain would be nice at least for privacy. I still give this place a 5 🌟

We really enjoyed our stay at the Happy House! The pool was large and fantastic, perfect for relaxing. The kitchen was beautiful and very well stocked with everything we needed. The house was spotless, and the neighborhood felt quiet and safe. Both the garden and front yard were lovely, and the pool area was especially private thanks to the high fence. Brook was incredibly friendly, always checked in to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay, and promptly answered all our questions. She was very helpful throughout our visit. Highly recommend!
