Vacation rentals with a kayak in Central California

We stayed at Selina’s place for a weekend getaway to Yosemite. The house was perfect for our family with 10 people, the kids enjoyed the game room, we cooked meals in the kitchen, the deck and huge yard is so lovely and the views are amazing! Highly recommended!

We loved the kayaking and swimming in the lake tail. The house was big and comfortable, kitchen well stocked. Beds were very comfortable and bedrooms spacious. Beautiful patios with view of the woods. Close to Yosemite Valley and we had an amazing time.

Our family is so happy to be staying at Tanya’s house! It’s just a 5-minute walk to Pine Mountain Lake, and we’re also able to use the swimming pool, which is a great bonus. The only issue we noticed is that most of the non-stick frying pans are with scratches and can’t really be used anymore. Other than that, the house is great and we’re all really enjoying our time here. Thank you for letting us stay in your home!

The house was perfect for our group of 5 that included two kids. Pictures are an accurate representation of the space. Everything was clean an comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The back deck was great with views of the golf course. My kids loved watching the deer and wild turkey's walk by. We even saw a small fox one day. The lake is only a 5 minute walk down the road, with a great little swimming beach. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Clark's place was just what we needed after our long days in Tahoe. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. His back deck is a great place to relax after a long day out and about. Inside was spacious enough for the 5 of us traveling to be cozy and comfortable in our evenings there.

Such a beautiful spot ! The view and the deck are just breathtaking… so much marine life and lovely birds swooping by all day. The deck was not as well cleaned as the house , but we didnt care one bit ! Swept away cobwebs and had a great stay. Thanks so much, Matthew. All the best, Alma

We had an amazing stay. Elizabeth’s accommodations and attention to every detail made it feel like we were at home! I’ve stayed in many airbnbs and this stay was by far the best! We will definitely be back! The dock is well kept and sturdy, plenty of water toys, the house was clean and accommodating. Everything was pristine. Thank you Elizabeth for being so sweet and helpful!

Sonny’s place was the ultimate Kid heaven, has everything you need to keep the kids and parents entertained! From arcades and pool table, to bikes, fishing poles and all the water toys! We brought our boat and enjoyed all the additional water toys included with the house! It was perfect for three families! Probably the cleanest most organized place we have ever rented! We all had an excellent weekend away to relax and spent time on the water!

We had an amazing stay! The place was clean, very well maintained, and perfect for a group of friends. It came with so many great amenities — from the hot tub to a game room with a couple of arcade games and a pool table — which made our stay even more enjoyable. Jennifer was very responsive and provided clear instructions for both check-in and check-out, which made everything super easy. Honestly, the place is even better than the pictures — the backyard is beautiful and the kitchen is huge and had everything we needed for a 2-day stay. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing place that's a short drive from Yosemite's south entrance.

We had such a great time!! The amenities were so amazing! Paddle boats, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, fishing poles were so amazing! We did not leave except to go to the bait and tackle store! It was amazing! They were so kind and attentive! we had a wonderful time

We’re very familiar with the surrounding area and this home is classic to the Russian River vibe. It’s easy to access Jenner Highland preserve, Armstrong woods and river activities. We found the listing to be accurate and very clean. We did not access the small secondary building but appreciated the hot tub. We also were glad we left our dog at home as there is no grass on the property and several stairs to navigate. It would certainly work for some dogs, but not ours was quite large. We did appreciate David’s immediate response to our request to edit our reservation when we decided not to bring our dog; excellent communication!

This place was perfect for our Anniversary get away! We were able to spend a day at Yosemite riding E-bikes and spend the next day on the lake. We received a discount to rent a boat because of our host and enjoyed the hot tub at the end of each day! There are many restaurants within walking distance, a grocery store, and a fun friendly bar close by. We will definitely be back!

We found just what we were looking for; a peaceful and private cabin near the Russian River and with a lot of style and soul to boot. The house was very clean, comfortable and provided some sweet outdoor spaces for dining and lounging. With the heavy vegetation growing below, we didn't have a view of the river, but it was just a quick stroll away. The only downside I can think of is traffic noise along a semi-busy road that's nearby. But it wasn't a buzzkill and we enjoyed the experience thoroughly. We hope to return soon.

A friend and I and our daughters had a lovely time staying here. I loved the mix of keeping the historical feel of the house and the tasteful updates the owners have done. We used the provided kayaks and paddle boards to paddle on the river. It is mellow enough that you can paddle up and down without any trouble (at least in mid-June). The neighborhood is quaint and quiet. We used the firepit one night to cook "hobo" dinners and make smores. The spa was also nice. We went to the nearby town of Guerneville to go vintage and antique shopping and eat meals. We also went on a hike near the beach. And nearby Duncan Mills is also a nice place to eat and shop. The nearby Lightwave Cafe is an experience! Definitely recommend a meal there. I would definitely stay here again.

Small hiccup getting into the house and Amber was super quick to help! The place was stunning! So beautiful and so well appointed. The home is 10/10!!

We’ve stayed with Gerson and BethAnn twice now. And we have enjoyed it both times. It’s a great place to make life long memories with my family. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Our stay at Lucky Bend Lookout was absolutely a dream. I wish I could stay on the porch overlooking the river (with redwoods right on the property!) forever. Despite the space being somewhat small for 8 adults, it was so well-appointed and with so many bonus outdoor spaces that it didn't feel that way. Sarah went out of her way to ensure we understood the details in the listing and had all the info we'd need in advance. The house was very clean, and well-stocked with the essentials. Nothing super fancy but it very much did the job. Hopefully I can come back sometime in the summer when the dock is installed.

We had a beautiful stay at this serene getaway tucked in the woods, surrounded by peaceful forest views—exactly what we were looking for! The house was well-equipped with everything we needed, making it a perfect escape from the city. The host was incredibly communicative and responsive, which made our experience even smoother. If we had to mention anything that could have made it even better, a jacuzzi would’ve been a dreamy addition (just a personal favorite!), and an on-site trash disposal system would’ve saved a little time during checkout. That said, both these things were clearly mentioned ahead of time, so there were no surprises. All in all, a wonderful stay—we’d love to come back again !

We had such a lovely time at Paulette’s. Her house was incredibly clean and so stylish. We wanted a private, quiet and serene getaway and this place was perfect! The views from the back decks are outstanding and pics don’t do it justice! Paulette was super communicative and a wonderful host!

We had a lovely stay at the Black House. Great location and was stocked with everything you could need. The guest pass to the lake and the fenced in yard were huge bonuses! FYI for pet owners, the lake has a strict No Dogs in the Water policy.

I loved this cabin in the woods. Worked well for our group and the location in blue lakes is great. Would love to come back!

Very unique and beautiful cabin, very spacious and comfortable. Gorgeous surrounding area, we found it peaceful and relaxing. We loved our time here, the kitchen access was great and the shower pressure was very nice too. Would definitely recommend.

We had the most special weekend with friends at Britta’s house! It’s such a cozy property with incredible views of the river. Everything was exactly as described and perfectly clean. Being able to just walk down to the river and enjoy our morning coffee there was such a treat. And the proximity to downtown Healdsburg and wineries made it a great location for all of our weekend activities. Britta and Blake were extremely responsive and great to communicate with too. If you’re considering this property, don’t hesitate - it’s truly such a beautiful escape from the city and we can’t recommend it enough!

A little slice of heaven an easy drive away from the Sequoia National Park. The cabin we stayed at was cozy and perfect for my wife and I. The grounds were well kept and the amenities were wonderful. Canoes were ready to go and the fire pit was a wonderful surprise for the cooler evenings. But the best surprise of them all was the amount of friendly wildlife that came to visit. From quails and a family of wild turkeys, to deer and chittering frogs, this place was really something magical.
