Vacation rentals with lake access in Birkenhead

We stayed over Christmas, gorgeous house, didn’t need to use the car at all, very central location. Lyn was a great host, will definitely book again.

Amazing location to switch off and relax. The place is pretty basic which is fine but it needs a bit of TLC. Would be great to have the wood at the house and not having to ask for it all the time. Worth visiting for sure for the location and views/walk around the private estate.

Me and my friends had a great stay at Iwan’s place. It was exactly the same as the description. Very tidy and spacious rooms and kitchen.

We loved the farmhouse, it was very spacious, the facilities were excellent, the hot tub was fab! Lovely garden with plenty of shade (were lucky with a hot weather weekend!) . Very good location for visiting Chester / Blue Planet Aquarium etc. We had local family joining us for a buffet lunch one day and there was plenty of crockery/ cutlery/ serving dishes etc. Ben was swift to respond to/sort out a couple of minor issues, and was very helpful. We would definitely like to come and stay again! Thank you!

We had a fantastic 3 night stay here. It's a perfect location for beautiful walks around North Wales. The place itself was clean, spacious and private. Lucinda was also a great host. I would fully recommend visiting!

We found the cottage with ease and were pleasantly surprised by the welcome gifts that the owners had left, thank you! It was very warm, comfortable and quiet...the perfect break for myself, wife and teenage son. We thoroughly enjoyed the walks in the surrounding area and beautiful Mount Snowdon. The nearby train station was very handy to visit Betws-y-coed and we can recommend the underground golf at zipworld along with the Welsh Mountain Zoo. The cottage was great value for money, we stayed for 5 nights but could have definitely stayed another week! we all returned home feeling far more relaxed and recharged...we will definitely book again and want to thank the hosts for letting us stay in their beautiful holiday home. Xx

The house is beautiful and we felt very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need and Holly left detailed instructions on how to use everything which we appreciated. The house is beautifully decorated and we loved the garden which is very peaceful and lovely to sit in (when it's not pouring down). We also very much enjoyed the rainfall shower. The location is great, there's a supermarket within walking distance and Lytham town centre isn't far away. Thank you for a lovely and peaceful stay 😊

Mum and I had a fab girly getaway here! It was so cosy and peaceful, and Mel got back to me super quick when we needed a bit of help. Great location too, close to everything. Such a lovely, relaxing break. Thanks Emma and Mel! x

We were a group of 4 and the apartment was perfect, had everything we needed and is in a perfect location. Well equipped kitchen for a night in and plenty of room to spread out. Some road/outside noise in the bedrooms at night but it is a city and is to be expected I guess. Handy for the racecourse and you’re into Chester centre in 5/10 mins.

Absolutely loved my stay. The apartment was easy to find and match the description of the post to a T. Perfect location for travelling the city and close to plenty of attractions and restaurants. I had a lovely time and Carly always had me in mind to make sure my stay was pleasant which it was.

Mary was a wonderful host, her place was delightful and was perfect for our one night stay as we were meeting friends who lived close by. Mary was very responsive and met us for check in at the agreed time. The place was easy to find and we found somewhere to park close by.

The place is beautiful, and the host is very responsive. It’s located right next to Albert Dock. The flat itself was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. It was a great base for our stay in Liverpool. Recommended.

Darren’s place is an Airbnb dream! Clean, neat, and super homey. I felt so comfortable the whole time. The location is great too: close to the metro station, the beach, and lots of cute cafés. Darren was an excellent host, always communicating clearly and making sure I was settled in. I’d definitely stay here again if I’m ever back in Liverpool! ❤️

A really spacious apartment right opposite M&S Arena. Prefect location. The apartment was very clean and very well equipped. Would definitely return and highly recommend. Also great and very fast communication

We had a wonderful stay at this place. It was incredibly peaceful and calm — just what we needed. The location was easy to find, and everything went smoothly. Marianne was absolutely lovely — very kind, responsive, and always checking in to see if we needed anything. She made sure we had everything we needed and really made us feel at home. Overall, it was a great experience, and we’d definitely recommend it to others!

A lovely house in a fantastic location. The only drawback was that directions are given from the Bala direction, but we came from the other direction, and got very confused. We followed the postcode and had to back out down someone's drive. A What3Words location for the house and for the turn-off would be extremely helpful.

Great stay in North Wales, spacious place in a perfect location for hikes and sightseeing. Super convenient, and would happily stay again!

We had a great 2 night stay in this lovely, little space. It’s very well equipped with everything you could need including two very, very comfy beds. The beds (and the place) were the perfect respite after a long hike. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay in this area of Wales.

The Hovel is a wonderful cottage set in the most beautiful gardens. We walked round the gardens a few evenings and each time found a bit we hadn't seen before. Our kids loved the trampoline and playfort. The accomodation itself is warm and welcoming, the kids greatly appreciated the homemade bread and bowl of jellybeans on arrival. They also enjoyed cosying up round the log burner and watching a film using the projector on the inevitable rainy days. Hosts were lovely and welcoming but not intrusive. They also make great cakes in the cafe! The dogs were an added bonus for us, my daughter had a little cry when we left them on the final day. Location wise the cottage is perfectly situated for accessing both mid and North Wales with lots of places to visit within an hour's drive through breathtaking scenery. I couldn't sum it up better than my husband saying on our final day that it might well be his favourite place on earth.

We loved every moment of our stay! The cottage was well equipped and cosy. It was very clear that, should the weather turn: blankets, heaters, logs, electric blankets were all on hand - we felt sad that we didn’t need them! We looked forward to coming back to the cottage to play games and enjoy the log burner and views. The decor was beautiful and in keeping with the cottage. Good shower and amenities all modern. Plenty of local shops and restaurants to choose from. Surroundings were more impressive than we imagined. We want to come back and be snowed in or return to do more adventurous mountain walks - well the boys want that - while I sit by the lake and read, draw or sip gin! Hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful - but the cottage had everything we needed. A gateway to Snowdonia and all it offers - but equally happy to hunker down and enjoy the lake, forest outside the door.

A very charming and homey cottage in a quaint little hamlet. We thoroughly enjoyed being in such a warm, cozy place with no TVs and no distractions. The beds were comfortable and everything was as described. Thanks Femke!
