CROWS' HERMITAGE

J-PRating, 5 stars4 days ago
What can I say about Crow’s Hermitage that the other reviews haven’t already captured? If you’re considering other options—stop looking. You’ve found the perfect place. As many others have noted, the photos can’t possibly convey the enchantment that settles over you the moment you arrive. From the character of the home to the serene outdoor spaces to the thousand-year-old parish next door, it feels like stepping into the pages of a fairytale. When it comes to hosts, Colm is in a league of his own. He went above and beyond with directions, thoughtful recommendations, and any request we made. By the end of our stay, we didn’t just feel cared for—we felt like family.

Serene Seaside Retreat

WendyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Julie's place was perfectly situated for our stay. It was easy to find and very peaceful. Julie met us and gave us lots of tips about the locality. We enjoyed watching the rescue goats, pigeons, dogs and hens wandering around the garden (the cabin's garden is fenced off though). The cabin is very clean and very well equipped - we had brought a few provisions but Julie had already thoughtfully provided everything we needed, and more. Julie was really friendly, welcoming and helpful and we hope to return next year.

Own Entrance Garden Suite Near RDS, Aviva & 3Arena

KathrynRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Wonderful place to stay for my few days in Dublin! Excellent location to escape the busyness of the city, but still has a variety of good restaurants in walking distance as well as groceries stores. Also easy to access city via buses (Leap card provided) Place was as listed and had everything I needed. Joan and Leo were very friendly and excellent hosts, providing bag drop-off, an easy check-in and great recommendations for the area.

Designer Apt in the heart of Dublin

DeannaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Dardo’s place could not have a better location. It is exactly in the Dublin City centre minutes from the temple bar district and certainly walkable to many other locations. We had no trouble navigating. We took the bus to city center from the airport and only used it to get back to the airport. The apartment was spacious, clean, and fully functional . We are so thankful Dardo let us drop our bags off with Ivy for early check in . Tea and coffee were stocked and bathroom as well. We had nice, large towels. The noise/ heat can be an issue, so we recommend windows open during the day and closed at night for sound control. Can’t recommend this place enough! Places we went: Guinness Storehouse, Dublin Castle, trinity college, Book of Kells, Temple Bar district, and day trip with Get Your Guide to western Ireland.

Superb City Centre Apartment D2/WiFi/Breakfast/TV

ShannonRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Had a great stay at Denise’s place in Dublin. The central location and 2 separate beds were what stood out when we picked it - and both the bed and pullout were very comfortable. Denise made everything easy - super responsive & clear communication, there were lots of thoughtful touches (two full length mirrors! Milk & coffee!), and the location was ideal for walking around and sightseeing.

Iain was super quick with all communication. The apartment is conveniently located and very central. We didn’t use the kitchen facilities, but loved the mini cereal options available. It was a little noisy at the front, but the back bedroom was perfectly quiet. The bed was lovely and comfortable as were the cushions! Thank you!

Stayed at this amazing apartment in the heart of the Temple Bar district to celebrate my 60th birthday. Five minute walk to a great selection of pubs and eateries. The Temple Bar pub was our fave spot for a Guinness and traditional music. Orla is a fantastic host - communication throughout was faultless and we were met on arrival with a warm welcome and local advice. I would recommend Orla’s apartment 100% Thank you Orla

We loved Henry’s place so much. It was so close to everything , the Dublin Castle is literally on the same road and all the restaurants and shops are a short walk away. It’s tussled in the back alley which means it was very quiet and peaceful and it was easy to access and the elevators were so convenient . We would definitely stay there again. Clean and responsive host as well.

Mick was a lovely and responsive host. We were greeted for check-in and it was an easy process. Within a 15 minute drive to airport or the city centre. The place was clean and we were very appreciative to have received local tips and a late checkout. The area itself is quiet. The foldout bed in the living room is on the smaller side for 2 people but other than that everything was great!

Your guide to Dublin

All About Dublin

Sitting midway down the east coast of the Republic of Ireland, Dublin is a buzzing port city bisected by the River Liffey. You can cross the chilly waters via more than 20 bridges, from the ultramodern Samuel Beckett Bridge in the east to the wide stone arches of O’Connell Bridge right in the heart of the capital. The city is a lively blend of cutting-edge tech companies, offbeat small businesses, and centuries-old pubs where you’ll find traditional fiddle playing and pints of ink-black stout.

Temple Bar is a maze of pubs and bars that gets especially lively during the city’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in mid-March, while the narrow streets around the main shopping thoroughfare of Grafton Street are home to vegan cafes, delis piled high with locally made treats, and studios showcasing new twists on heritage crafts.

Pockets of green space are framed by grand Georgian townhouses, from Mountjoy Square north of the river to Fitzwilliam Square near St. Stephen’s Green. The National Museum of Ireland tells the story of Dublin through Viking artifacts, minerals, and ceramics at sites across the city, and you can learn about hurling — Ireland’s ancient pastime and the fastest sport on grass — at the GAA Museum before trying it for yourself in over 1,500 acres of Phoenix Park to the west of the city.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Dublin

Dublin has four mild seasons, and you can expect rain any time of year. Winter can get chilly, spring and autumn are comfortable, and summer is pleasantly warm. The closer to the coast you get, the windier it will also be. If you’re visiting in spring, take a trip outside the city and look for the purple and yellow wildflowers at the iconic Cliffs of Moher. Make your way through one of Dublin’s green spaces, like Phoenix Park, as trees shed their leaves in the fall months. During the summer, experience one of Dublin’s 12 castles and relax in their lush gardens. And in the cold winter months, you can warm up at a whiskey distillery by day and visit Dublin’s holiday market stalls at night. While planning your trip, consider what kind of vacation rentals Dublin offers and what you might like best.

Top things to do in Dublin

Little Museum of Dublin

Learn about Dublin’s compelling history and culture at the Little Museum of Dublin, where exhibits including a US presidential lectern and a whole floor dedicated to one of the capital’s most famous musical exports tell the city’s story from this 17th-century, narrow townhouse. You can also sign up for a brief, guided tour or explore the museum at your own pace. St. Stephen’s Green park is a perfect spot for a post-museum rest just two minutes down the street.

Howth

Take Dublin’s high-speed train less than an hour to the coastal village Howth. Start at the Howth Head lookout point. Admire the dramatic, grass-covered cliffs overlooking the Dublin Bay, and come prepared with a rain jacket. From here, you can follow the marked path up to the Howth Summit for more sweeping views. Howth’s castle dates back more than 800 years and features over 200 species of rhododendron in its gardens.

Trinity College

Peruse rows of staggering bookshelves at the Library of Trinity College in Dublin. Head to the library’s long room for the most impressive view. This dome-shaped building is full of floor-to-ceiling books, and it’s more than 300 years old. After the library, you can relax and people-watch at the pristine Trinity College Botanical Gardens.
