Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Dublin

What can I say about Crow’s Hermitage that the other reviews haven’t already captured? If you’re considering other options—stop looking. You’ve found the perfect place. As many others have noted, the photos can’t possibly convey the enchantment that settles over you the moment you arrive. From the character of the home to the serene outdoor spaces to the thousand-year-old parish next door, it feels like stepping into the pages of a fairytale. When it comes to hosts, Colm is in a league of his own. He went above and beyond with directions, thoughtful recommendations, and any request we made. By the end of our stay, we didn’t just feel cared for—we felt like family.

Had a wonderful few days staying here. House is lovely and really peaceful and comfortable. We hired a car and so were able to get to loads of really amazing spots but also enjoyed walking around the local area and down to the lake. Would definitely recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay and would love to return! The host was wonderfully communicative and generous. The home is gorgeous and so peaceful. Loved the view of the beautiful garden in the backyard. Each bedroom was well-appointed and the beds were so comfortable. Also was very nice to have 2.5 bathrooms for our party of 5. Loved this stay!

Enjoy your stay at Marie's. The house is large and comfortable. Its location is close to shops, bus lines... Marie is very responsive when communicating with her. I recommend their place.

The location and the house were idyllic. The decor is perfect for the age of the house. Perfect to access Dublin but was also a good base for other day trips like Waterford (2hrs), Blarney castle and stone (3hrs) and the Cliffs of Moher (3.5hrs). Lots of really cool local places too Skerries Mills (30 mins), New Grange (30 mins), Battle of Boyne Museum (30 mins) and Hill of Tara (30 mins). Very good local restaurants. Serena is an extremely good host and responds to text quickly. Would definitely stay again.

This is a lovely, spacious period house with lots of character in a great location. Nice place to stay for a family gathering with helpful hosts. This is a residential home so felt very much like borrowing someones house rather than an impersonal holiday rental. There is lots to do nearby with stylish eateries and drinkeries. 5 minutes from the sea with all year round swimming available for the hardy. There are a couple of saunas near the sea if you want to warm up too. We popped over to the James Joyce museum in a nearby tower and took the Dart into central Dublin- all very easy. Hosts were very helpful and responsive, providing plenty of support and information before check in and during stay as required. There is on site parking but the access is tricky for some cars due to angles,slopes etc (not uncommon in Dublin I understand). there is also plenty of free parking round the corner 5 minutes away. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to others.

What a delightful place to stay - home from home! There is every home comfort that you could possibly need. Such an excellent Airbnb in a beautiful house. Darina is a lovely host, so welcoming & friendly. We hope that we can return one day and we thoroughly recommend this property.

Brian‘s place is exactly as described, clean, and easy to access public transportation.

We would definitely stay here again. We wanted to stay in a place with a comfortable space for two couples, and not in the thick of the tourist areas. This place fit the bill. It is a fairly short walk to St. Stephen's Green and everything beyond that Dublin has to offer. The neighborhood is quiet and there are good restaurants nearby. It was also fun to walk along the canal in the evening. The living room, dining room, kitchen, and both bedrooms are very spacious. While the entrance is below street level, the large front window lets in lots of light. The bedrooms both look out on a courtyard, so there's light when you want it. The bathrooms were also nice. The washer and dryer were also a nice feature. When we arrived, we got drenched by a passing shower and the dryer was great to have! Jamie and his co-managers were responsive when we requested laundry and dish soap. The internet was also good.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place was well appointed even with little extra's like spare power adaptors, sweets and an easy wifi connection QR code. Jenny clearly cares about here customers. The location was also an easy walk to some nice peaceful views. We had a great time and would recommend this place to others.

Helen’s place was perfect for our family of five, with three kids ages 5, 9, and 12! It was in a great location across from Christchurch Cathedral and a nice walk from all the sites we visited, including Temple Bar, Trinity College, Grafton Street, the Guinness Storehouse, EPIC Museum/Jeanie Johnston, etc. The place was perfectly laid out for our family with its two bedrooms and good-sized living space and dining room table. In addition to the space and location being great, Helen was so lovely, helpful, and easy to work with! Half way through our stay our youngest broke something in the apartment and Helen was so sweet and understanding about it! :) I highly recommend booking Helen’s place!

Kevin was helpful and responded quickly. We'd hoped to drop bags early, but got even better, an early check-in, which was so, so helpful! The place was in a fantastic location. We could easily walk everywhere we wanted to go. The space was very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed and outfitted. Our family of 5 grown adults loved it. We would absolutely stay again.

James has been the most welcoming host - thank you so much for your kindness, for the recommendations around the apartment and the support when we needed it. We absolutely loved our stay at Mairead’s place. I brought my 73 year old dad to Ireland for his dream trip to find the land and the ruins of the cottage his great grandmother was born in. As recommended by Mairead I hired Dave Masterson to drive us around the country and he was spectacular. Elizabeth met us at the Airbnb and she was so kind and lovely to chat with about Dublin and other parts of Ireland. We felt right at home. The Airbnb was beautiful and we loved the two outdoor spaces. The location was perfect - within walking distance of many restaurants, pubs, parks and museums (which are all free). The area felt very safe and easy to navigate. There is a bus stop close by to take the bus when wanting to go further away. We LOVED this Airbnb and hope we get to return one day. Very secure location. There is a DART track nearby, but I didn't notice this at night when I was trying to sleep. The various codes for doors and gates can be a little tricky to figure out at first, but are easy once you get them handled. Great to have access to covered parking. The washing machine was broken for our stay, which was disappointing, but the host let us know days in advance, so that allowed us to make other plans to get clothes cleaned. Otherwise, this was a great place to stay.
