Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Athens

This is one of the cleanest & most adorable Airbnb’s we stayed in. The decor was simple & warm. Every measure was taken to provide comfort & anticipate needs right down to coffee & snacks. There was a large fenced yard with lights, bbq & outdoor seating. The home was perfectly appointed w vaulted main space & 2 bedroom/2bath! The price point was fantastic for a college town on a busy weekend. Literally, the only thing that must be noted is the people in adjacent lot in tents. They were not disruptive, just making themselves at home in a residential area. The owner stated he is taking action to address them. The owner has taken every measure to provide the property with tight security & lights! We would not hesitate to stay here again if returning to Athens.

It’s more home than our actual home of late— and that’s such a testament to the environment that Jessica has created. That we always find ourselves planning our next trip, crossing our fingers that the room will be available… Each stay has been a dream and I could not ask for more.

It would be difficult to overstate the delights of my stay at the cottage - It was like being in a bucolic fantasy. I felt such peace and serenity it was hard to leave - the stars at night and s'mores around the fire pit was an extra treat. The animals (an astonishing variety) all looked happy and were very polite and gentle. Watching the swans paddle about the pond at sunset was an inspiring scene. If your spirit needs restoration it's a reason to head out to the Danielsville area - I look forward to returning. I was only sorry my 2 year old granddaughter wasn't with me.

Internet doesn’t pick up and can’t watch t.v. Other than that the work she’s done is beautiful.

Frank and Cindy’s place was the perfect location for anything on campus—just a quick 6-minute drive away. The home was cozy, with charming decor and thoughtful touches throughout. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking essentials and coffee, and there were plenty of towels provided. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and parking was easy with space for two vehicles. We especially appreciated the flexible, accommodating hosts and the great variety of outdoor seating areas. Highly recommend!

Our family loved Patrick & Jordan’s place! The amenities were enjoyable, the porch was peaceful and the beds were so comfortable!! The home was spacious. You can tell that they have put a lot of time and energy into restoring and decorating the home. As hosts, I cannot say enough kind things about Patrick and Jordan. They were gracious and responsive. Thank you for hospitality and we hope to return! Town was a close walk. There is a cute park with playground nearby that my kids enjoyed, as well. Be sure to check out the Monroe Pizzeria (delivers too)!

The Hen House was an absolutely perfect place for us to stay during our daughter's graduation weekend. It was exactly as listed, and even more charming in person. There was plenty of room for 5 of us to sleep, the kitchen was well-equipped and roomy, and the decor was so cool! Christine was so very easy to work with and so thoughtful with the fresh-from-the-garden flowers and happy graduation balloon for us! We will definitely use this property again when going to Athens.

The unit is on the lower level with a “private” entrance. It was immaculately clean. If you’re a clean freak you’ll be happy here! 👏🏻😃The big couch was super comfy too. We were exhausted from traveling for 2 weeks from Scottsdale through the South and only stayed one night just to catch up on sleep before hitting Savannah the next day. The price was VERY fair. We had our dog with us and she ran around in the big back yard. The whole family lives upstairs and seemed very friendly when we ran into them a few times. If you want total privacy then this place is probably not for you as the family was quite active outside around the grounds where you’ll be staying. We didn’t mind it though. Overall, it’s a safe, clean, comfortable place to stay if you’re in town. The unit has little extra amenities too like a shoulder massager and they provide coffee pods and creamer. They also had an ironing station and the option to use the washer/dryer if needed.

My family and I loved our stay! Every little detail you can think of was well thought out. Child friendly which made it an extra plus for me! Will definitely come back!!!

We enjoy our stay everytime we stay here. Has everything we need and always clean and comfortable. Host are very kind. Would stay here again if back in the area.

Lorna and Willie were super nice people and Willie’s vegetable garden is worthy of a postcard, it took me back to a time when I use to help my grandparents in their garden. We will definitely stay there next year when we come back down. A special thanks to them for doing our laundry. The washing machine in the unit would not work and I told them about it on our way to the formula drift race and when we got back that night they took our clothes out of the washing machine and did them in their washing machine and folded them and put them back in our unit. Suck a blessing to have suck kind people in today’s world. I couldn’t thank them enough. Willie and Lorna you are the BEST!!!! God Bless and hope to see you next year. :)

I loved the location of the Bobbin Mill cottage. Everything was so peaceful and quiet (except for those crazy Cardinal birds - LOL!). The unit was spacious and mostly sparkling clean. The bed was so comfortable. It was good to have the two wall heaters that worked so well, since it got a little chilly on a couple of the nights of my stay. I truly appreciated the responsiveness of the people with MPM Vacation Rentals who worked with me to make it possible to check-in a little early, and then quickly refunded my early check-in fee when it turned out I couldn't get to the property until after the standard check-in time. I enjoyed the two large TVs, even though the internet service through the eero Wi-Fi device was a bit spotty. It went down numerous times during my stay. Some other suggestions I might have for the host is to stock the kitchen with more non-perishable conveniences (like coffee creamers and sweeteners) and to do some repairs on weather stripping on the front door. Thanks!

my two girl friends and i had a wonderful time this weekend in athens. we rented this place out to stay after a megan moroney concert (which was 10 minutes away from the stadium, akins ford arena, super convenient) and it was the best decision we could’ve made. complex is new, feels very private, absolutely gorgeous inside and out, and offered many different things (gym, pool table, pool, etc.). because it sits in the same area a publix, taco bell, mindless, and more, we were able to get all of our grocers, some food before and after the concert, and some breakfast the following morning before leaving (it is also WALKING distance which was GREAT!). the host was extremely attentive and responded almost immediately. we will for sure be staying here again whenever we have a reason to travel back up to athens. 10/10 recommendation! place was also super clean and spacious.

Clean and easy to check in. Very comfortable beds! Very very responsive host! We had an issue that was not any fault of theirs and they went over and above to help remedy it.

Stayed here with some buddies while visiting for an event we go to every year in the area. The hot tub is a nice touch, and a great way to relax at the end of a long day. It was awesome having horses and being able to pet them and feed them carrots (not too many). Very peaceful place, and had everything we needed to enjoy the weekend there! We will definitely be back next year!

If you appreciate rustic history this is the place for you. The updating and modernization was just enough to be completely comfortable but also appreciate how old the house was that we were staying in. Yvonne was great and stayed in contact with us in case we had an issue finding the property (which we did not), and even had some bread from a local bakery waiting for us. The place was close enough town to enjoy all that Athens has to offer but also be able to enjoy the quiet Georgia countryside.

This cabin was perfect for what we were looking for. It was very peaceful and private.

This cabin was perfect for my family to spend a few days for Thanksgiving! We truly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful cabin, and we prepared a great Thanksgiving meal in the well-equipped kitchen. We also made use of the great card table upstairs. The wooded property was lovely, and we had hoped to use the inviting firepit, but it was windy most of the time. We hope to revisit this cabin soon!

Shawn was a great remote host. Provided clear and simple instructions. Property was very well appointed and exactly as expected.
