Dome vacation rentals in Appalachian Mountains

We had been here several times in the past and always enjoyed it. It has been kept up well and it was delightful to see the trilliums coming up on the ?north? side! I had a bit of trouble connecting to the wifi (although my phone remembered the connection), and Annique responded quickly to help. the key was that all the characters are uppercase, even though the posted note had some lower case.... should have tried that without bothering her. We WILL be back!

I had a wonderful stay at Beth’s place! The space was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed for a comfortable visit. It felt like a true home away from home. Beth was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and thoughtful with all the little touches that made the stay even more enjoyable. The location was peaceful and conveniently located. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Joshua was a lovely and accommodating host. He was extremely kind, helpful and responsive. He went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed and had a great time. We chose the Little Frog in The Howling Woods for our Acadia camping destination. It was exactly what we dreamed of. We were able to "camp" without hauling our own gear. The space had personality and comfort in a secluded set-up. The experience claims a yurt, an outdoor kitchen station, a fire ring (with benches), solar shower and a clean compost toilet. All of this while locating you on Mount Desert Island near the towns of Bar Harbor, Bass Harbor and Acadia hikes. We loved it and if we ever have another chance to visit Acadia, we will definitely stay there again. The Little Frog experience is best for robust outdoors people who are used to "Appalachian Trail" type similarities. It is the "glamp" setting for people familiar with living out of backpacks and sleeping in tents. While "roughing it" you end up feeling spoiled by the charming sleep space which can become a place to nestle down for a rainy day hang out. The owner is available if needed, but out of your personal space.

Our host is very responsive, the dome and the area is perfect! Check in is very easy and signs are everywhere.. The washroom is clean as well as the area for the grill! The bed is comfortable. Definitely recommend! Thank you again to our hosts!

What a unique place to stay! The inside was really cool! It had everything we needed and then some. Hot tub was an added bonus. Jessica was very helpful with recommendations. We loved staying here!

Matt answered all questions before they were even asked. We were fully prepared to get to our dome and enjoy ourselves! Perfectly clean & staged. This place is beautiful and well cared for. It is insane how close the grocery store is for how removed this place felt from the rest of the world! I couldn’t have loved it more. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back!

Super peaceful place to stay in the mountains. We loved everything about this place. Such a great stay for a couple with wonderful views right from the deck. 100% recommend.

If you are wanting to getaway from the busyness of life, this is your place to stay! The view is unbeatable! You won’t even want to leave the dome! We went for the short hike to the water (it’s very steep but not horrible), grilled some steaks, and enjoyed the hot tub! It was the perfect trip to celebrate our anniversary!

I booked this dome to surprise my fiancé for her birthday. It was perfect for a one night romantic luxury stay. She absolutely loved it. We definitely plan on booking again!

We had the best experience staying at PEB by the Sea! From the moment we arrived, Brandon and Max made us feel completely at home. They were so welcoming and accommodating—always around if we needed anything, but never intrusive. The views from the property were absolutely breathtaking, and it was the perfect place to unwind. Brandon and Max went above and beyond for us during our stay—they even came over and started the campfires for us in the evenings, which made our nights by the fire that much better. When we ran into car trouble, Max didn’t hesitate to come right over and help us get it sorted out. They were also incredibly laid-back and didn’t mind our group being a little noisy at times, which made everything feel so relaxed and easy. Truly couldn’t have asked for better hosts or a more beautiful spot. Highly recommend staying here if you get the chance!

The North Star dome was absolutely incredible! We of course chose the hottest weekend to camp and unfortunately had to leave a night early (96 degrees is no joke!) but Eva was so understanding and sweet. We fell in love with this place and all of their sweet animals! Cannot recommend the dome enough! We will definitely be back!!!

My wife and I had a great night, we really enjoyed the hot tub, secluded/ private location, and relaxing in the screened in gazebo. Would highly recommend this to others.

This property is lovely. All of the appliances and dishes were clean and very high quality. I brought things I never needed because everything was provided. I would definitely come back again. Thank you to the host.

We traveled 3.5 hrs from Maryland for a last minute, same day rental, for my 40th birthday. It was a bucket list item to stay in a dome and too my surprise found one in PA. Was somewhat familiar with the area bc of rails & trails. Due to the rainy weather and distance to POI, activities were limited. Restaurants closed by 7pm on Friday night so we grabbed a steak and microwavable veggies in Phillipsburg for a night of TV binging and the hot tub. The kitchen had the minimalist essentials needed but theres a DG Market very close for last minute needs. The domes are a cool concept but obvious flaws in the manufacturing/setup such as uneven flooring, poor shower drainage and the smell after being closed up. It was also rainy but would question good stargazing through the skylight with nature's dirt (as expected). Overall, we had a great time for much needed bonding and relaxation as husband and wife. I would stay again if we were to visit for Rails and Trails.

Was looking for a peaceful quiet day away from city and this Airbnb was perfect. The dome had all facilities in the listing, ac/heat, wifi and board games. Bashir was great and responded quickly to questions. The sheep and chickens were great edition too. Recommend!

This was a amazing stay, unfortunately the weather didn't let us use the dome. But there was so much more to see and do. This is the perfect hideway.

Kelsey and Seth, you truly outdid yourselves. We had an incredible stay for our weekend getaway! The place was exactly as described plus some. Waking up in the hive to the sound of birds chirping and looking into the woods was so peaceful. The bed was so comfortable and the hive at night is so aesthetically pleasing and cozy. Truly not a negative thought about this air bnb. 10/10 recommend.

We had an amazing time staying at The Nest, it was such a unique experience and was everything we hoped for. Aaron was a fantastic host. He answered all of our questions before we arrived, and while we were there, within minutes of us asking. Waking up to the spectacular view of the lake, having morning coffee by the water and being surrounded by the sounds of nature were the highlights for us. We stayed mid-June and would recommend being prepared for the bugs (bring bug spray and Citronella candles for outside the door while bbqing). Also be prepared for it to get hot inside the dome during the day and perhaps plan to be on/in the water or out for a drive/exploring. It's recommended to boil the water before drinking (although it is still safe to drink unboiled). We brought a water filter with us as a preference. Overall it was the perfect place for us to relax, disconnect from work and unwind. I would highly recommend this spot and Aaron as your host.
