Dome vacation rentals in Appalachian Mountains

We had been here several times in the past and always enjoyed it. It has been kept up well and it was delightful to see the trilliums coming up on the ?north? side! I had a bit of trouble connecting to the wifi (although my phone remembered the connection), and Annique responded quickly to help. the key was that all the characters are uppercase, even though the posted note had some lower case.... should have tried that without bothering her. We WILL be back!

I had a wonderful stay at Beth’s place! The space was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed for a comfortable visit. It felt like a true home away from home. Beth was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and thoughtful with all the little touches that made the stay even more enjoyable. The location was peaceful and conveniently located. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Joshua was a lovely and accommodating host. He was extremely kind, helpful and responsive. He went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed and had a great time. We loved chatting with him, spending time on the beautiful property, and had an overall perfect trip. Hope to be back again soon!

Two nights spent in a bubble, exactly what we were looking for, a great view in the forest! Claire is welcoming and her project is pleasantly carried out overall! I recommend it

We chose the Little Frog in The Howling Woods for our Acadia camping destination. It was exactly what we dreamed of. We were able to "camp" without hauling our own gear. The space had personality and comfort in a secluded set-up. The experience claims a yurt, an outdoor kitchen station, a fire ring (with benches), solar shower and a clean compost toilet. All of this while locating you on Mount Desert Island near the towns of Bar Harbor, Bass Harbor and Acadia hikes. We loved it and if we ever have another chance to visit Acadia, we will definitely stay there again. The Little Frog experience is best for robust outdoors people who are used to "Appalachian Trail" type similarities. It is the "glamp" setting for people familiar with living out of backpacks and sleeping in tents. While "roughing it" you end up feeling spoiled by the charming sleep space which can become a place to nestle down for a rainy day hang out. The owner is available if needed, but out of your personal space.

What a unique place to stay! The inside was really cool! It had everything we needed and then some. Hot tub was an added bonus. Jessica was very helpful with recommendations. We loved staying here!

We had the absolute best weekend at the Shire. The scenery was beautiful, you are surrounded by nature. It’s so peaceful. The house was incredible! It was cozy and unique. Great amenities. The best part of our stay was waking up early morning our last day to the rain! Laying in bed and watching the rain was the best way to end our last day. So perfect! We hope to be back soon!

It was the most peaceful and relaxing vacation we’ve had in a long time! Host was fast at communicating and very helpful when it was needed. It was so quiet and no worries if someone was near us. It even rained while we were here and the rain hitting the dome was peaceful to the ears. If you want privacy and a unique experience this is the best place to do so! 100% worth the money spent! Don’t think twice! 5 out of 5 stars!

We had the best experience staying at PEB by the Sea! From the moment we arrived, Brandon and Max made us feel completely at home. They were so welcoming and accommodating—always around if we needed anything, but never intrusive. The views from the property were absolutely breathtaking, and it was the perfect place to unwind. Brandon and Max went above and beyond for us during our stay—they even came over and started the campfires for us in the evenings, which made our nights by the fire that much better. When we ran into car trouble, Max didn’t hesitate to come right over and help us get it sorted out. They were also incredibly laid-back and didn’t mind our group being a little noisy at times, which made everything feel so relaxed and easy. Truly couldn’t have asked for better hosts or a more beautiful spot. Highly recommend staying here if you get the chance!

The North Star dome was absolutely incredible! We of course chose the hottest weekend to camp and unfortunately had to leave a night early (96 degrees is no joke!) but Eva was so understanding and sweet. We fell in love with this place and all of their sweet animals! Cannot recommend the dome enough! We will definitely be back!!!

Patty was an amazing host. We really enjoyed our stay with her and would recommend it to anyone else that is looking to have a peaceful getaway.

My boyfriend and I treated ourselves to two days at the Old Colorado Glamping site as part of a longer trip and it was absolutely amazing. In addition to being beautiful, the inside of the property was spotless. The location felt secluded, but at the same time we were within 10 minutes of a gas station and Dollar General if needed. The ability to do laundry after a long day of hiking and exploring was a huge plus as well. We would consider booking again.

My wife and I had a great night, we really enjoyed the hot tub, secluded/ private location, and relaxing in the screened in gazebo. Would highly recommend this to others.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay at Le Dodo was! Everything from Équipe’s communication, to the immaculately designed and maintained dome, to the bonus features like the hot tub and welcome gift was perfect! Our only disappointment was that our stay wasn’t longer! We will certainly be back to visit next chance we get.

This property is lovely. All of the appliances and dishes were clean and very high quality. I brought things I never needed because everything was provided. I would definitely come back again. Thank you to the host.

April’s Tree Top Dome was the ultimate off grid experience. The ease of just showing up and having everything needed for a comfortable weekend of “camping” has been captured by Evan at Outercamp. Cannot wait for my next trip back!

The place is amazing. Looks just like the pictures. It’s definitely an unforgettable experience. The place is stunningly beautiful it feels like you’re on your own little private island. It’s very private the host Russell’s extremely welcoming like we’ve known him forever. We definitely recommend visiting here. You will never forget this experience.

Was looking for a peaceful quiet day away from city and this Airbnb was perfect. The dome had all facilities in the listing, ac/heat, wifi and board games. Bashir was great and responded quickly to questions. The sheep and chickens were great edition too. Recommend!

A really wonderful stay in a beautiful setting right by the lake! Not as remote as the pictures may have implied. And the fire place in the photos was not in the yurt as pictured—but we assumed it was removed for the summer (though wish it was still there on our first night, as it was raining and got very cold). The outdoor shower and lake views made up for it though. It was a magical time. Thank you!
