What can I say about this wonderfully quaint and quirky cottage that hasn't already been written? Probably nothing, but once you've picked your jaw up off the floor it's impossible to not be totally besotted by this hidden gem nestled in the heart of the English countryside, the pictures really don't do it justice. Our initial exploration of the spotless interior was way beyond our expectations, it's simply stunning and is the perfect blend of old and new. Everything we needed was provided and the comprehensive notes provided by Sue were more than adequate in providing clear directions and instructions for the various appliances, etc. Our stay surpassed our expectations in every way possible, if you've ever wanted to stay in an authentic cottage with a truly spectacular garden and doorstep access to to miles of public walkways look no further. Finally, a huge thinks to our wonderfully responsive host Sue for offering this property on Airbnb, very, very highly recommended.

Black Sheep Barn is just as described in the listing. It is far from any towns and most villages, but this gives it the seclusion and privacy that you sometimes want from a countryside break. The barn was amazing. It was spotlessly clean and the hosts were really friendly and welcoming. The little touches such as the cake on arrival and fresh eggs from the farm were lovely. It had everything you would want from an accomodation and we really enjoyed our time there. It was very relaxing, and the views are astounding. There are plenty of walks straight from the barn, also with great views. The major towns are within driving distance, so easy to get anything you need. We would recommend this accomodation and may well return in the future.

We were so lucky to stay in this beautiful cottage for our honeymoon and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome — Ellie was incredibly friendly and thoughtful, leaving us lovely cakes to enjoy on arrival. The cottage (and its surroundings) is full of charm and just as whimsical as the pictures suggest. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy quality time together. We also enjoyed the easy drives into Ludlow, Leominster, Tenbury Wells and local walks. We can’t thank Ellie enough for creating such a beautiful, memorable experience — we’ll definitely be back one day!

Really enjoyed our stay. Felt very at home. Very quiet , Great shower lovely hot water at any time . Such a great place as a base , Good places for dog walking in the area . Would have like to use the garden a bit more but we had a wet week.

Thank you to Suzanne for an amazing stay. It was very relaxing, not just because of the location and surroundings, but also because Suzanne provided everything we needed to settle after a long journey. Although we didn’t formally speak, we felt you were there if we needed anything and always responded almost immediately. You provided a lot of useful information including maps for local walks, shops etc. We liked that fact that we could walk out of the lodge and immediately find walking routes in any direction. We also liked that the garden was secure, one of our dogs is a little excitable and it was reassuring to know that she could venture in to the garden without worrying about what she was up to! All amenities were perfectly functional and of good quality. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom with good shower too. Thank you for a lovely stay. I would recommend Suzanne’s place to anyone who likes long scenic walks, relaxing, and escaping their busy lives in a beautiful location.

Great communication and lovely house near the outdoor heated swimming pool, tennis courts and sauna

What an amazing little getaway! Had so much fun paddling and swimming in the lake, was amazing to have a full kitchen attached to the dome. The hottub was spotless and tucked away. Didn't find time to explore the farm but looked like lots of walking opportunities around. A good excuse to come back! Thanks for a great stay.

Me and my partner went with the dog, we had one of the best times in this spot, really relaxing to be at the pod and then travelling around the villages was lots of fun. Was always nice to come back to the lovely pod! The kitchen had everything you needed as well

Beautiful peaceful spot in the Cotswold countryside. The cottage is spacious and well equipped with great walks straight from the door. The pool was such a fantastic asset and really added to our holiday.

We had a great stay at the barn, celebrating a big birthday. There were 6 adults staying and we were all extremely comfortable. Mike and Joan were very hospitable, generous and responsive. The barn is as fabulous as the photos suggest. The views are amazing. The pool is wonderful. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. We very much hope to return.

Absolutely beautiful—both the house and the surroundings! To stay in such a remarkable, comfortable, clean and beautiful, old place right in the heart of the cotswolds—it was truly lovely. So peaceful and quiet! Rachel was a kind and helpful host right next door. Make sure you pay good attention to her directions to get there—it was a little tricky. Also, the ceilings in the bathroom, living room and dining room really are only about 6 feet, with doorways and other things even shorter. We’re tall and we still loved it but it’s definitely something to keep in mind. The kitchen and bedrooms were all much taller. We’d love to return one day and stay again!!! Thanks you!

Lovely little spot, perfect for a quiet night’s break

The Hare Barn was absolutely amazing and Jackie was a fantastic host. She made us feel very welcome, and breakfast was a lovely surprise. The barn had beautiful attention to detail and great care has been taken to make it so beautiful. It felt very warm and homely!! The paddock seating area is a lovely bonus with stunning uninterrupted views and gorgeous sunsets!! Jackie was very kind and warm and made us feel right at home from the moment we met (and games us great tips about places to visit!). Throughout she was very quick to respond to any queries we had. We can't recommend her place highly enough. it's a treat if you are looking to find a place to relax a d unwind or for trips into other areas of the Cotswolds

Stunning location and lovely home. Wendy was super helpful with any questions answered quickly. Gorgeous sun trap in the private courtyard garden which meant you could sit out and enjoy the sun into the evening! Spacious home and perfect for what we needed for two nights.

This little break away was perfect for my partners 40th birthday. It was our first little break since having a baby and it was like home from home. The area was beautiful and private and the lodge was super clean. We’d definitely return for longer next time.

We had a really wonderful long term stay in the Cottage. It’s very cosy, peaceful and private. The town of Pershore is charming and loads of lovely nature walks around. The host was wonderful, always really helpful and responsive. She did whatever she could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Overall a very pleasant stay! We’re going to miss this little place!

I was travelling on my own with my dog and always worried about personal safety and wanting to know where I am and to feel safe. This is just what I found in the right up, and it looked safe and a lovely place to stay. There were quick responses and people nearby should there be any worries. The Bear Barn was so wonderful and whimsical, check in was super easy and spending time in this immaculate little abode was so lovely, I felt safe and content and I loved that there was an amazing paddock to walk my dog, he loved it and it felt wonderful even at 5am to see the deer in the neibouring field. I will definitely be back, I have relatives nearby and staying here will be a wonderful haven when visiting the local area and relatives. A wonderful place to stay ✨️

Such a gorgeous & cosy cottage with breathtaking views- so peaceful and relaxing. Loved having a cup of tea on the patio area in the hillside garden in the sun- perfect!
