Footbridge Farm is a quiet country get-away located on 90 wooded acres, 15 miles NE of Decorah. We are close to the mouth of Canoe Creek, the Upper Iowa River and adjacent to state DNR land. The cozy owner-built cabin has an open ceiling with exposed beams and rafters giving a sense of spaciousness. Local stone was used in the exterior walls and the floor-to-ceiling fire back behind the wood-burning stove. The floors are oak and slate. Detailed craftsmanship can be found throughout the cabin.

This unique place has a style all its own. Conveniently located by the Mississippi River and highway 35. The place gives you a cabin feel close to La Crosse! Goose Island is 5 minutes away. Great spot for bird watching, fishing, kayaking, boat launches, hiking or frisbee golf. Mt. La Crosse is super close to enjoy skiing/snowboarding. 15 minute drive to downtown La Crosse and 3 miles North of Stoddard puts you in a great central location for the area. Pets are welcome. No cleaning fee!

Whether you enjoy the solitude of the quiet valley, relish listening to babbling brook that you drove through on your way into the property, or are relaxing on the deck, this private cabin is the best getaway in the Driftless Area. While this is a newer listing, we have been renting out our cabin since 2015 with excellent reviews & many repeat visitors. It's our only rental property and it's where we love to spend our quiet time. We are happy to share this experience with you!

Wow! What an absolutely PERFECT space for our relaxing family get away. Clean, bright, and so peaceful! My wife loved cooking in the fully stocked kitchen, the teens enjoyed the gaming center, and the fire pit was a great space for us all to catch up. Even made a new friend- a friendly tabby cat we named “Meow”. Wouldn’t change a thing and we can’t wait for our next stay!
