Getaway in Smiths Cove

CharlesRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We have recently completed a lovely, lovely stay on Smith’s Cove — a traveling family foursome. Jane’s little, ocean-front cottage was absolutely terrific — a beautiful setting, a tidy home, all the appliances, and close to most everything that the Digby area has to offer. (Think scallops, for example, and whale watching.) My iteration of Google maps didn’t list “Petrie Road,” however — or not in its entirety — which threw us off for a moment. The omniscient online mapper suggested we crash through the neighbor’s lot on Leighton Road, then walk the beach over to Jane’s cottage. We thought better of it. You need to drive to very *end* of Petrie Road, with faith and good confidence — and there at the end, just to the right, you will find an entrance into number 88. It’s worth the effort. Jane is wonderful host. And her home on the cove is spectacular.

I appreciate the flexibility. I stayed there in the offseason, and when I asked to stay a little longer, it was no problem.

Mallard on Church Lake Accessible Lakefront AFrame

Les TylerRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our stay at Mallard at Church Lake was fantastic! The A-frame design is stunning with beautiful decor throughout. The kitchen setup was perfect, and we loved using the outdoor grill for lakeside meals. As birding enthusiasts, we added many new species to our Life List and learned fascinating details about mallard duck behavior and life cycles. The location is a nature lover's dream. What really set this property apart were the excellent accessibility features (wheelchair ramp, no-threshold shower, seamless floor transitions, etc., which accommodated our disabilities. The hosts were communicative before and during our stay, making everything seamless. We enjoyed canoeing and paddleboarding during the day and incredible stargazing at night under clear skies. This property offers the perfect blend of comfort, accessibility, and natural beauty. We'd absolutely stay again and highly recommend it to other travellers, especially those needing accessible accommodations!

Ferry View Loft

PrestonRating, 5 stars9 months ago
The Ferry Loft was well stocked with many things that you would need. It is clean, bright and provides a wonderful view of the Digby Harbour entrance and lighthouse at the mouth. We stayed three days and could easily have stayed a week. The Loft was comfortable and inviting so much so we wished we didn’t have to leave. It was neat to see the Digby-Saint John ferry pass each day. The location was wonderful and peaceful; on the way to The Loft you will pass several of the local historic sites such as Port Royal. Bobbi was friendly and checked in to make sure all was going well. This is a place to revisit and to recommend.

Former Shoemaker Studio on the Annapolis River

RajanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Anita was very friendly and provided great communication. The place is just like in the photos. The charm of the place was even better due to the decorative touches. Cozy, comfortable & inviting, and the gas fireplace was a welcome warmth during our unseasonal cold spell. The kitchen has everything from breadboards to wooden salad bowl, lovely bright colored dishes & pretty wine glasses, etc. The bathtub is comfy and inviting for a relaxing soak. We would be happy to visit again!

Beautiful 1 Bedroom apartment on the Bay of Fundy

Jami LynnRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We felt warmly welcomed and right at home from the moment we arrived. The apartment was cozy, well-appointed, and perfectly suited for our stay. Every little detail, from the comfortable furnishings to the thoughtful amenities, made our visit so enjoyable. Annapolis Royal itself is a beautiful, historic town. Janice and Tim’s local tips made all the difference, and we discovered some hidden gems we wouldn’t have otherwise. Staying in such a peaceful and picturesque place was exactly what we needed to recharge and refresh. We’re so grateful for their hospitality and will cherish the memories of this trip for years to come. We would love to return and recommend this lovely place to anyone looking for a perfect getaway in Annapolis Royal!
