Classic Cape Cod Cottage

KathleenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
It’s a really cute Cape Cod cottage near the beach and one of the Cape Cod National Seashore’s visitors’ centers with hiking and biking trails. It’s also centrally located, making it easy to reach other sites up and down the Cape. It’s tucked in a beautiful, wooded area where you have your privacy but don’t feel too far from anything. I really enjoyed the outside amenities as well from the outdoor shower to the hammock to the Adirondack chairs and picnic table.

Casa Frappo - town center - 2 BR / 2 BA

A perfect stay at Steven’s place. Comfortable, thoughtfully decorated, cozy, perfectly located in the center of town. The apartment is more spacious than the photos make it seem. Great communication from Steven. Would not hesitate to return.

Free standing cottage - west end near Commercial

CandisRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We had THE BEST time staying at Jay’s cottage. It was perfectly located, just around the corner from all the action of Commercial Street, but tucked away for quiet and privacy. The space was beautiful, cozy and clean. I literally slept for 10 hours a night in the bed here; it was that comfortable. Jay couldn’t have been more hospitable, even enlisting his very sweet neighbor to help out when he could get here quick enough. It is such a beautiful community with wonderful people inhabiting it. Provincetown is absolutely unique, with so much to do and eat and enjoy! We will absolutely stay with Jay when we come back. ❤️❤️❤️

PET FRIENDLY 1-BR COTTAGE - 3 MIN WALK TO TOWN CTR

MinervaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We travel with our little gaggle of dogs, so finding a place to stay that accepts them and is as well located as this, with a little yard, was Fantastic to us! The cottage was well considered with everything you could need and again, the location was stellar with easy, walkable access to everything P-Town has to offer. We can’t wait to come back - Thank you Leslie!

Light-filled North Truro cottage-Lovely gardens

SuzanneRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We absolutely LOVED Erica’s place. It’s beautifully built and decorated with historic pieces and touches throughout, but it’s very livable and feels inviting. We cooked lots of meals in the kitchen and holed up cozily during a storm. We watched wildlife in the yard and the screened windows let in fresh air. The cottage feels really spacious and airy— we loved the touches like screened windows and the loft— And it’s right in town by a market, and minutes’ driving from multiple trails and beaches. We also spent a lot of time in nearby Provincetown. Coming back to the cottage after that felt quiet and private. We can’t recommend this spot highly enough!

Luxury Waterfront Retreat with Private Deck

Jodi MarieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This location was perfect for a relaxing weekend away with my wife and pup. From a quiet, peaceful, space to being surrounded by all the restaurants and shops, it was just what we wanted. The views are gorgeous, and almost every window has a view of the water. The space was set far enough off the street that it felt extremely private and quiet with a view of the beach. Hosts were proactive with reaching out to ensure we had the info we needed to get parked, and into the location without any issues. Space was immaculate and arranged so nicely from placement to furniture to art. Would stay here again 10/10

We had a wonderful stay! Excellent location and communication with the hosts. Our baby and our dog had a blast! Right on the beach and close to everything. We didn’t have to use our car once we parked. Walked everywhere from the cottage. Enough space to relax for a few days. We will be back!

Your guide to Provincetown

Welcome to Provincetown

Located at the far tip of Massachusetts’ Cape Cod peninsula, Provincetown is a small coastal community with a big reputation for good times. The popular summer destination is a magnet for seekers of sun and fun up and down the Eastern Seaboard. Famously welcoming, Provincetown’s open-minded attitude has made it popular with LGBTQ+ travelers, who have helped shape much of its current nightlife scene.

Fittingly for a community made up mostly of surf and sand, Provincetown’s seafood shines bright in the eateries that dot the city’s main thoroughfare. But some of its history as a Portuguese fishing village is also evident at local bakeries and restaurants around town. That history forms one element of the town’s two historic districts. The other comes from hosting and supporting artists. Considered the country’s oldest continuing art colony, Provincetown’s museums and many galleries showcase local artists, while its theater scene receives national acclaim for its more than 100 years of groundbreaking productions.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Provincetown

Provincetown’s high season brings warm, dry summer weather and long sunny days. Crowds line the streets in August for Carnival Week, seven days of pool parties, parades, and costume balls. Fall and spring see cooler, wetter weather, but remain relatively mild, giving you an opportunity to more easily and affordably explore Provincetown’s history, art, and boutique shopping. In winter, the town practically hibernates. Many restaurants and galleries shutter for the season, and other businesses limit their hours. But if you’re willing to brave the chilly temperatures, it becomes a place to hunker down, cozy up, and get away from everything else.

Top things to do in Provincetown

The Dune Shacks

When a famous American playwright rented a decommissioned lifesaving station in 1919 in which to write among the Provincetown sand dunes, he cemented a tradition. Today, 19 shacks remain in the Peaked Hills Bars Historic District, many of which operate as artist and writer residencies. While you can take tours of the dunes, adventurous travelers can also leave their shoes at the trailhead off Snail Road and walk up the soft sand path on their own.

Herring Cove Beach

At the very tip of the Cape Cod Peninsula, Herring Cove Beach enjoys smooth sand and calmer waves. The gentler water of the only bay-facing beach here brings in hordes of swimmers on hot summer days, while concerts in the evenings keep people there long after the stunning sunset.

Province Lands Bike Trail

This 5.5-mile paved path winds through the National Seashore, looping among cranberry bogs, pine forests, and sand dunes. Spur trails shoot off toward various beaches, ponds, and trailheads, making it a nice way to explore the area, especially when you add in stops for picnicking and swimming.
