HOUSE ON THE RIVER

Home on the Mississippi River. This home does NOT have dock access to the river. There is a boat launch about a 1/2 mile South. The Army corp of Engineers owns our bank so we are unable to clear any trees. A big family room with wood burning fireplace that opens up to a 3 season porch. Wabasha offers Ice fishing, downhill skiing, thrift shops & boutique, Slippery’s Bar & Grill, Home of Grumpy Old Men and the eagle center. State land nearby for hiking. Drive your ATV on county roads legally.

This is an absolutely beautiful home right on the river! The house is well decorated and well taken care of, and Beth was a wonderful host. We particularly loved the notebook they keep, where every guest can leave a note about their stay. All around wonderful stay.

We absolutely loved This place. The Cabin was perfectly rustic while well appointed with everything we needed. The surroundings are beautiful wooded ridges and hilly farm fields. My daughter loved the small pond to practice her paddling with me. My wife loved the loft bedroom that allowed her to escape my snoring. And we all loved the ever present birds, (Eagles, hummingbirds, orioles and goldfinches to name a few standouts) We will be sfaying here for sure when we visit our family in the area again. It was PERFECT!

I was staying in Wabasha for business in nearby Kellogg. The house is older but charming. Instructions were clearly laid out. Everything worked as it should. I loved the deck and grill. I travel a lot for work and the house was far beyond what a stuffy hotel could every be for roughly the same (if not less) money. The place was clean, and the AC worked great for as hot as it was. I loved the neighborhood. I don't want to talk it up too much because if I have to come back to Kellogg I want it to be available! Will definitely be staying there again. Bed was very comfortable and linens were immaculate Instant hot water worked great There is a programmable coffee pot (No Kuerig). Kitchen was clean and stocked appropriately Deck was clean and is actually very private for the middle of town because of the pine trees Bathroom is laid out well Great stock of paper towels and TP It was not noisy at all and all the people were very friendly Felt very safe in the neighborhood
