Some say the cabin has a nautical feel with galley kitchen, wood paneling and brass light fixtures. In the bathroom, copper pipes become towel racks. Outside there are deck chairs and more by the water along with a meditation maze made from beach stones. The lighthouse is a short beach walk away. We rent d Alexander’s for two night so some girls and I could get away for some relaxation to recharge. It was perfect! Just as pictured, cozy, beautiful and just what we were looking for. It was very well decorated and had everything we needed. Alex sent everything over we need proactively and was quick to answer questions too. I’d definitely come back!

The spot was perfect, quiet and comfortable. I stayed at the end of May, so the weather was lovely and the trees, grass, flowers and birds were all poppin off. The island of Vashon itself is beautiful and quaint, the perfect little getaway from mainland. Kathryn had personalized suggestions that I checked out, and even those places I’d give 5 Stars to as well. Would absolutely stay again. Note about the ferry: if you’re not used to island and ferry life, I’d suggest buffering your time well. Things happen and don’t always allow for things to go right on time. I was grateful to not be in a hurry to be anywhere, so the flexibility worked out well for me.

This place was really beautiful and unique. It was perfect for the 2 kids I brought because one had the loft and the other wanted the fort (under loft) and I had a bedroom to myself!. We had to bring our cat with us because he needs medication multiple times a day and he actually loved it too. He sat in the windows and looked at all the creatures and once there was a tiny baby deer about 5 ft from the window waiting for his mom, she came along an hour later. The restaurant across the street was really good. Vashon is a little pricey but worth it, it is so beautiful. Great parks, hikes, beaches, farmers market etc.. Thank you Joe!! We would definitely come back again.

Beach Front Cabin

I cannot say enough great things about this cabin and the hosts. It is private, quaint, well-stocked, comfortable, and quiet. Pictures do not do the setting justice- it is literally on the water and teeming with wildlife. I saw otters, sea lions, two juvenile bald eagles, two adult bald eagles, and a great blue heron during my stay. The directions and information provided by Sherry-Ray was thorough and clear. The stairs are no joke but I felt prepared and appreciative of the proactive tip provided on best ways to get your stuff to the cabin. Directions for the Incinolet toilets, wi-fi, light switch locations, etc. within the cabin were very clear and easy to understand. I highly recommend everything about this Air B-n-B and will be back. Hopefully in the next few months!

The Red Barn on Happiness Farm

The Red Barn was easy to find. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. Hosts Steve and Zoe provided necessary amenities (coffee, tea, snacks, etc.). Great idea to have a water cooler available since there is no sink except in bathroom. Loft felt safe with the stairs and banister. Zoe and her mom were incredibly responsive removing a tree that came down over the driveway. Love competent women. Thanks for making my stay comfortable.
