Portland Southwest Suite Stay

FerrelRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Robert was very friendly when we met him. The room was exactly as it appeared in the photos. The room was perfect! We were able to have a couple of our kids and grand kids over to hang out for a while and there was plenty of room. The fridge was unexpectedly nicely stocked with various goodies and necessities. We will stay there again!

Cute little home. My son and I bunked in the loft and mom was downstairs. Location is close to pier park, so if you’re a skateboarder or disc golf enthusiast, it’s a great location. Only about a few minute drive to downtown st John’s.

Chic Spa Central - Inner Eastside Gem

ErinnRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Sebastian's space was in a perfect location for parking the car all weekend and simply biking around. There are so many phenomenal restaurants to enjoy - Fantino (!!!), Yama Sushi, Spielman's Bagels - and so many things to do! The tree lined streets and the friendliness of everyone makes Portland or favorite city - this location was a perfect landing pad for exploration and restoration. I woke up with something wrong in my eye and Sébastien provided instant support and advice on what to do. You will hear the hilarious zoomies of a morning meow, but if you're a cat person, you'll wake up with a smile. We highly recommend the stay!

Portland Nest Guesthouse

WarrenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is our second stay at the Nest. Like the previous visit, the Nest remains to uphold a very high level of comfortability. The apartment is clean and secure. It is well equiped with all of the major necessities to cook. Wifi and cable TV work efficiently. The neighborhood is quiet, and the accommodation is safe. Parking just outside on the street very convenient. Milinn is wonderful host; she is attentive and accommodating.

Sorta Summer House w/ sauna & outdoor shower

CarinaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Our stay here was amazing!! Nicole was so responsive and answered any questions we had almost instantly! The place itself was beautiful and very clean. The bed was SO comfortable and the place is small but felt very spacious and breathable! Perfect for 2 people. We would 100% stay here again. The only con about the place that we didn’t see people mention in other reviews were the spiders. The shower is outside (so cool) but there are lots of spiders and spiderwebs that get built seemingly overnight so we had to carefully tuck the tendrils of the overhanging plant into itself so we wouldn’t walk into the webs :) It wasn’t a HUGE issue and once we tucked everything away we didn’t walk into it anymore but for someone who doesn’t like bugs, the outdoor shower in the summer might not be your thing.

Riverfront House-Private

KarenRating, 5 stars5 months ago
I would highly recommend this charming cottage on the river! We stayed here the week of Christmas and the hosts kindly left us an array of holiday chocolates and a variety of beverages to get us started on our stay. The house was stocked with all the necessities and the view was so serene! You feel like you're in a secluded hideaway, yet in reality you are only minutes from downtown Milwaukie and a short drive to downtown Portland. It was very conveniently located for us visiting our two sons in Milwaukie, and there was plenty of room for them to visit us and have Christmas dinner at the cottage on the river. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again!

Stargazer’s Cabin | Movie Dome| BBQ| Breakfast

KelseyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Overall we had a great time. It was clean and bright. The outside could use a little curb appeal- however it is a new Airbnb. If you have a hard time getting off the floor, I would recommend not staying here. The mattress we're on the ground that definitely works with the style of the home, however my parents had a harder time getting up from the floor beds. The kitchen was absolutely perfect and open. It had a wonderful comfortable vibe. Great communication and amenities.

Your guide to Portland

All About Portland

Nestled on the Columbia and Willamette rivers in the shadow of Mount Hood, Portland is an outdoorsy city with plenty of indoor attractions to keep you busy year-round. While the city has a tendency to see more rain than the national average, Oregon’s cultural capital makes up for the grey skies with thriving theater, art, and music scenes, and its impressive dining scene has been the subject of multiple national television shows.

Portland has an eclectic mix of neighborhoods: Downtown and the Pearl District offer higher-end shopping and dining options alongside the city’s iconic independent bookstore; art galleries and indie cinemas are dotted along the Northwest, Hollywood, and Alberta areas; historic architecture abounds in Old Town and Chinatown; and the hip Southeast caters to those looking for vintage finds, record shops, casual eateries, and microbreweries.

On clear days — or if you packed the prerequisite waterproof gear — there are 275 public parks for outdoor exploring, plus the nearby mountains, beaches, and gorges for day trips. Whatever you do, be sure to pop into one of Portland’s famous food cart pods, where you can sample the international cuisine, sip microbrews, and dine alfresco throughout the city.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Portland

With its warm weather and lighter than average rainfall from June to August, the city's vibrant outdoor scene really kicks into high gear in summer. These months offer the opportunity to dine and socialize outdoors and a number of exciting festivals also take place during this time. This lovely weather stretches into the early fall months, making September and October great times to visit Portland and spot the changing leaves. The colder rainy season starts in mid-October and stretches through winter into spring, but take a cue from the locals and pack a pair of rain boots and waterproof layers.

Top things to do in Portland

Pittock Mansion

This stunning French Renaissance-style mansion was built in 1914 by a wealthy couple from England who owned Portland’s largest newspaper. Take a guided tour or wander on your own through the 46 period rooms which contain the beautiful antique artwork and furniture collected by the original owners. Outside the main home, there are 40 acres of grounds and other buildings to explore. If you visit around the winter holidays, you’ll find lovely decorations and special events for the whole family.

Portland International Rose Test Garden

Home to over 610 varieties of roses, this garden is the oldest rose test garden in the country. During World War I, roses from around the world were sent here for safekeeping and testing. Today, you’ll find more than 10,000 rose bushes in bloom at peak season between April and October. Check the calendar for all kinds of events throughout the year like classical music performances and plays.

Portland Japanese Garden

The Portland Japanese Garden was created with the purpose of being a symbol of peace between the United States and Japan in the post-World War II realm, and its calming aroma does just that. Spanning 12 acres, you’ll find a cultural village modeled after traditional Japanese architecture that features a waterfall, ponds filled with koi fish, bonsai plants, sand gardens, and a plethora of walking paths. While lovely to visit all year, it’s particularly beautiful in the fall when the leaves change. Stop by the tea house, cafe, and gift shop before you leave.
