Vacation rentals with lake access in Upper Peninsula of Michigan

This home was perfect for a quick girls trip Once we figured out the sauna it was very nice after a day of hiking. Very calm peaceful spot we are hoping to come up again. House was clean and matched the pictures.

This was a great place to stay! Everyone was friendly and many things to see close by.

Came to town for work and Lesley and her place were both great! I travel for work 8 months out of the year and wish every place I stayed had someone as helpful and easy to work with as her! I would absolutly stay with her again!

I stayed here with family for a North Shore getaway. This place was gorgeous, spacious, private, and quiet! There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and ample shared spaces for cooking, watching movies, and relaxing together. We loved the proximity to Grand Marais and all the great North Shore hiking spots. The pizza oven was a blast to try out and I used the provided telescope to look at the beautiful full moon. If you’re looking for a private spot with family or friends to enjoy views of Lake Superior, look no further! We can’t wait to come back.

The house was fantastic! An architect/designers dream Airbnb. Minimalistic and organized, clutter free with focus on the beautiful woods that the house is nestled in. The outdoor room was perfect for grilling and hanging outside with a bottle of wine.

We wanted a quiet mini family get away for the long Memorial Day weekend and this place did not disappoint! We all felt right at home and appreciated the cleanliness and location. The beach was beautiful and serene, kitchen was well stocked with every kind of kitchen tool you could imagine. All linens were very clean and good quality!

I want to give this place 100 ⭐️ and at the same time selfishly give it 1 ⭐️ so I can book it whenever I want 😂 Seriously, this place is a real gem. It was super clean, quiet, so incredibly peaceful. The lake is so serene and inviting. The paddle boat was under repair but we took out the canoe a few times and we literally had the lake to ourselves, enjoying the sounds of the wind and birds and just nature. We and our fur babies had such a wonderful time - we will be back! Also, the WiFi was impressive connection for the area. It was like the best of all worlds…being off the grid while still on it ❤️

It was a beautiful setting. Attached to the winery but on the back side so we had privacy too.

We loved our weekend getaway at Mark and Wendy’s cabin! The views were beautiful! Also, Mark and Wendy had great communication with us throughout the entire experience.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Angela’s property. So many beautiful plants and everything was so clean and well maintained outside. A real oasis. The room was very clean and the linens smelled so good. I am a germaphobe and I never felt uncomfortable staying there. It was near so many attractions while also being very private and peaceful —we spent every evening sitting on the beach just taking it all in. Can’t recommend enough!

We stayed for a quick weekend and had a phenomenal time. It was a great place to rest after hiking throughout the day and it was wonderful to be able to walk around downtown without having to drive! Would definitely come again!

Such a peaceful and beautiful place to stay! Not only was the host responsive and helpful, but the setting was lovelier than I could have imagined. Waking up to have my coffee with the cows just made my morning, and the friendly cats strolling the property made it feel like home. I’d love to come back and spend more time enjoying the sauna, hot tub, and fire pit. The apartment was charming and clutter free. It was perfect.

What a wonderful weekend we had in Marquette celebrating my son's NMU graduation with family. This unique home feels inviting, warm and cozy and the location and setting are absolutely gorgeous offering stunning water views of Lake Superior. We were fortunate to see an eagle too. The privacy it offers was peaceful and the special lookout viewing areas to enjoy the lake were well planned as well as the relaxing sauna, indoor & outdoor gathering areas, wildlife including birds & squirrels, a pond and the beach & rock formations as well. Located a short drive to town and in close proximity to the great hiking areas and water falls too. The host was lovely, very responsive, and informative. Our family so enjoyed this special home and our visit to Marquette and many cherished memories were made!

I’m not sure where to begin.. It was a beautiful stay and a memorable few days spent at the cottage. My kids and I even got to enjoy a magical show put on by the northern lights above the shining Gitche Gumee last night! We had everything we needed and appreciated all of the little touches and amenities. We loved the retro feel and style of the place as well as the location and privacy. We will definitely be back! When we walked in it was very clean and cozy. Just like being at home. The view of the water is beautiful, so many amenities, it was great! I would definitely stay her again and recommend Tom’s place to everyone.

It was a very nice and quiet place to relax after a day of sight seeing. I wanted a place near the water and the deck was the perfect place to do that. It was really nice to have a fully outfitted kitchen. We hope to visit again soon.

We absolutely loved our stay at White Sky Woods! We hoped for a peaceful cabin surrounded by nature, but everything exceeded our expectations. In fact, we loved it so much that we spent two days just hanging out at the cabin and exploring the extensive trails. If you are a nature lover, you'll be in love with the beautiful wildflowers, beavers, unique butterflies, amazing birds, turtles, and more, all found right around the cabin. We happened to arrive during bird spring migration, and got several "lifers" around the cabin. We also loved that Lake Superior was an easy walk from the cabin. It's also an easy drive to lots of other fun things to do in the area (we especially enjoyed waterfalls and visiting a mine). Our two pups tagged along, and they loved it so much that they actually hid up in the loft when it was time to leave! They didn't want to go! The cabin was also clean, cute and comfortable. We can't recommend it enough!

We loved everything about the Bhombay Beach House! It was private, cozy, and super clean. We appreciated the full kitchen (coffeemaker/coffee, full-sized fridge, stove, microwave, dishes, glassware, and utensils), since we like to save $$$ by making breakfast while on vacation. Bob was very responsive without being intrusive. He provided extra amenities without our asking (umbrellas and nighttime snacks!). The large-screen TV included Netflix ... lots of DVDs, too. The views of the beach (Lake Huron) from the living room and kitchen were gorgeous. It was too chilly to use the firepit, but we walked the beach on our last day, which was lovely. LOVED being so close to the water! We were just up the street from the ferry to Mackinac Island. We had never been, and it didn't disappoint. Horse-drawn carriages, the Grand Hotel, funky restaurants, lots of bicycles, fudge! Make sure to visit Bob (and Thom's) store, Cottage UP. Great finds! In short, a perfect stay in every way. Beautiful and peaceful stay with my husband and our two kids. Colette is a very responsive and thoughtful host. She made sure we had everything we needed and even went above and beyond to purchase new sand toys and a coloring book for my toddler. Her place was very clean and had great amenities. My husband and I enjoyed the view of the sun room after the kids were in bed and were able to close the door and not worry about talking too loudly. My son loved seeing the boats and airplanes pass by, along with the sizable yard to play, and the private beach and waterfront. The neighbors are close to the property but very friendly and kind. We had an amazing stay and feel refreshed after returning home. We hope to be back!

To say it merely met expectations isn’t enough. Carolyn’s place exceeded our expectations. It’s everything we could’ve wanted and more. Beautiful home on a beautiful piece of property! This was the perfect stay! We even had perfect weather! Wish we could’ve had a fire, but fire danger was too high during our stay. We would 100% book this again in the future!
