Historic Highland Home on Loch Ness

LisaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Although a little expensive, the views, and being in an Abbey was an amazing experience. We had plenty of room and the apartment had everything we needed including tea! The canal locks were a thrilling surprise to watch when going for coffee or ice cream. Loch Ness cruise was beautiful. Everything you could need from coffee to restaurants and gift shops to convenience store all walking distance but very quiet complex with a city link bus stop 5-6 minute walk to explore the highlands.

Spacious Historical Apartment near Edinburgh

EvaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
It was really something special to stay at Kinghorn Town Hall. The accommodation is just as beautiful as in the photos and even after a few days just as impressive as at the beginning. Kinghorn is a cute little town, right by the sea and with a few stores and a delicious bagel café. We found it a great base for exploring the surrounding countryside as well as going to Edinburgh (also good access by train). We would love to come back someday.

The Ffarm Flat at Ffarm Country House

KevinRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This place was absolutely amazing. Everything you could possibly need is there – every detail has been thought of. I had a really great time here. The atmosphere is warm, the comfort is top-notch, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The only small downside for me personally was the absence of a freezer, but honestly, that doesn’t outweigh everything this place does offer. If I ever come back to Wales and this AirBnB is available, I won’t even think twice – I’ll book it again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

Castle Gatehouse, Tower at Sudeley Castle

MikeRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Great location and such a cool experience staying in the gatehouse. Will definitely come back. If you have young kids the sleeping arrangements require some compromise but we made it work. The interior could do with a touch up, it was looking a little tired but that’s me being picky. Great place to stay and free entry to the castle is well worth it

Pele Tower – Irton Hall

LourdesRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Pele Tower at Irton Hall, and it was a truly memorable experience. Nestled in a serene location, the surroundings are incredibly calm and peaceful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The gardens are absolutely beautiful, full of charm and character. Spotting peacocks and chickens roaming freely added a delightful, almost magical touch to the atmosphere. It felt like stepping into a countryside fairy tale. The accommodation itself was excellent. The 3 stored tower was exceptionally spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. It offered a perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully prepared. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat surrounded by nature and history, I highly recommend Pele Tower at Irton Hall. It’s a hidden gem that offers both relaxation and a touch of uniqueness.

Apartment on the shores of Loch Ness

KamlaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This place is quite special: the Apartment is in the oldest Part of the converted Abbey. It is very large, nicely furnished with extremely comfortable sofas and beds and has a very nice kitchen and bathroom. But this isn‘t all, there is the swimmingpool, gameroom etc. that you can use - even though the place was pretty full we hardly saw other people and did not hear anything from them in the flat. The absolut greatest thing about the place is it’s location right on the Loch Ness, tranquill and beautiful.

Stay in a Castle Penthouse on Estate by the Sea

GiovanniRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The Dunskey Estate was the perfect setting and surroundings for a wonderful Scottish week away for my family. The velvet upper ground suite extremely spacious and more than substantial for the four of us and our dog. The views were marvellous and the walks were varied and scenic with its own private lochs and being very close to the beach we had plenty of exercise! My son and I even tried fly fishing for the very first time and Steve, the Head Gardener, was extremely helpful in teaching us the very basics in the hope of catching our first trout in our given timeslot. Ali was very welcoming as a host and provided us with all we needed for our perfect week away, thank you Dunskey, the memories will stay forever!

Castle Folly- Unique castle experience for two

RussellRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A beautiful place to stay , with so many extras , felt totally private and loved the use of the outdoor seating area and hot tub . Both me & my wife said it had been one of our favourites, note to others book somewhere to eat if travelling at the weekend. The only ‘extras’ we d of liked would have been robes & slippers but that said that’s being picky . A beautiful find .

Braylsham Castle

GillRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We wanted a family evening together to remember and this property delivered! The obviously devoted planning and inspiration to develop such a peaceful setting into a ‘World of Pure Imagination’ was amazing. We sat outside eating and listening to many different species of birds singing! (Identified by the Merlin App). Wi-Fi, knights in armour, banqueting table, debates about whether the grandfather clock was vertical- or the walls, playing games together. Lovely combination of Alexa playing the right music with feeling you’d stepped back to a time before technology, truly the best of both worlds! Thank you.

The Clock Tower, Upper House Estate

CraigRating, 5 stars20 months ago
Peaceful location tucked away in a beautiful part of the Peak District. The accommodation did not disappoint. It felt very exclusive. The check in information was clear and unambiguous. We appreciated the heads up to purchase supplies prior to arrival as the nearest supermarket is probably a 15 minute drive away. The accommodation had everything you could need and that would expect from a luxury hotel, with the addition of cooking facilities. We were able to walk straight from the accommodation on the circular route of Kinder scout. It was then a short drive to a lovely local pub for dinner.
A historic stone castle is nestled against a backdrop of lush greenery and a gentle stream. The structure features large windows and a glass balcony that extends over the water, blending with the natural surroundings. The sunset casts warm hues over the landscape.

The Pele Tower - Killington Hall

DamienRating, 5 stars12 months ago
Pele Tower is a beautifully and lovingly restored building, and Ann and Andy have thought of pretty much everything. Every time we needed something, it was already there. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and got us immediately set up for the week. The pictures are 100% representative and in fact don’t do it justice. Ann and Andy are absolutely lovely too. Had a lovely week working from Killington and exploring the area and would very much recommend.

Beautiful cottage with everything you could possibly need. Everything has been thought about. Want to sit in the garden but it's a bit chilly, it's ok they have blankets. Want to have a bbq outside, brilliant they have the bbq and kitchen full of utensils and plastic plates, bowels, and cups to prevent breakages. The bathroom is stocked with shampoo, body wash, bath salts, towels... The list is endless with all the extras that come with this cottage. It's clean and tidy. Beds are comfy. There really isn't anything to complain about about. We did 2 nights here and could easily have done more. Thank you 😊

The Apartment at Llanerchydol Hall

TrevorRating, 5 stars1 month ago
For fans of BBC Ghosts, this is Button House in the Welsh borders. Amazing place, and being done up by the owners. Literal middle of nowhere vibes, with trees sheep lambs and owls for company. Pleasant walk down to the pub on the edge of town with decent beer and food. Steam train station right next door for a lovely day trip. The room was simply amazing, big enough to be a bedsit in most cities by itself, well appointed with easy table and sofa, massive bed, high quality linen and a sumptuous bathroom. The house has a forbidden upstairs/downstairs vibe. Wonderful added touch of tray breakfast being brought to us each day for a reasonable price. As it was World Snooker Championship final weekend the HDTV was a boon for the long lie ins and cost afternoons. Very helpful hosts and Mark very kindly let us have some glasses and cutlery for our night-in picnic. Hidden gem, wonderful history, beautiful stay.
