Cottage vacation rentals in Transylvania County

We were visiting Asheville for a friends wedding and this provided the space and amenities we needed for a long weekend. It was peaceful and had a nice patio and outdoor space. It was an awesome suprise to see the fireflies twinkling in the trees by the creek at night while relaxing after a long day. It was just me and my husband but would be nice for a group of adults or a family getaway also. Plenty of space. Thanks for a good vacation!

We loved our stay! Everything we wanted to do was in close proximity and the recommendations for food were amazing! Our stay was peaceful and the cottage itself was lovely.

This cabin is well decorated, maintained, and homey. The hosts were so sweet and accommodating even left a sweet hand written note and gift for my wife’s birthday. The only thing we didn’t like was how close it proximity it was to the main house and the amenity of the fire pit feeling like it was in a shared space while we wanted a romantic private weekend. It being a guest house was disclosed in the description however was our fault that we didn’t fully read the full description. We enjoyed exploring the town, food was great but closed early even on the weekends (9pm) and catawba falls was beautiful! We would recommend this location and the hosts in a heartbeat.

I am an avid hiker and not from north carolina so i have stayed in many cabins. This was by far my favorite. It was Absolutely beautiful and spotless. James provided a quick tour, was very responsive to messages, and very kindly told us we could help ourselves to what was in the kitchen. 10/10 we would absolutely come back.

Big backyard was perfect for the dogs. The Cottage was just as described Very clean with everything we needed for the weekend. We contacted Brandon once for broken blowdryer and he offered to run one over in a couple hours. Very responsive and accommodating. We will stay again

We had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful. A peaceful and relaxing location while close to things to do. The house had everything we needed and more. Lake Keowee is beautiful. We’ll be back!

What a perfect spot! Our little family, including our dog, loved David’s place. The fenced in back yard & well stocked kitchen were highlights. As others have noted, it is on a busy road, but from the backyard you can’t really tell — it feels very private. We would absolutely come back and stay again.

Very well kept and modern space, perfect size for a longer week stay with all the amenities (fridge/freezer, washer/dryer) and ample sized bathrooms. Wonderful location near downtown Brevard and walkable to our favorite coffee spots! Nice neighbors and felt safe. Kathryn was a wonderful and responsive host...would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely beautiful weekend getaway for us. We loved this home and Patrick makes everything easy, from check-in to check out. Amazing amenities and little touches of things you might have forgotten or need are right there ready for you. Beautiful area and really close to the lake for a hiking and nature weekend. When we checked in to the house, there were local maps and lists of local recommendations for restaurants and things to do. Great star and lightning bug watching views at night. Very peaceful! Very friendly rv campsite next door, that was very quiet and friendly. Local recommendations are Charlie’s Hot Buns, The Market, and Sweetwater.

This was our second time at Bear‘s Rest anschwellen absolutely love this place and the location. Nothing can beat the view on the patio for morning coffee or afternoon post hike snack. Communication with the host is super easy and you get a response in no time. We love the area for hiking. TONS of trails in a30 min drive radius. From easy to strenuous you will find it there! The kitchen is super well equipped with everything you need if you decide to stay in and cook, despite the multitude of options in Brevard. This time we even got a visit from wild turkeys. Thank you again for everything, til next time.

My husband and I had originally reserved John’s place for a kid-free few days, but when plans for our young children changed and we needed to add them to our reservation, we couldn’t have asked for a more gracious host or a more perfect spot for our family. We had the most wonderful time in Brevard and much of that was due to the welcome and hospitality shown by John and his family. The space was immaculate and perfectly appointed. For our solo parent vacay, we had not planned to cook, but when our children joined, making dinner at our home away from home made the most sense. And the kitchen here has everything I could want, but was not crammed with lots of unnecessary things. The spices from a local purveyor were such a lovely touch (and made for even more delicious meals!). The beds were comfortable and my children fought over the loft space in the second bedroom. On top of all that, we all loved the chickens (and their fresh eggs). A magical stay and we can’t wait to get back!

Breathtaking BARELY describes Jeana’s home away from home. If you’re looking to get away from the fast life, this is definitely the place to start. Tucked away in the mountainside of Balsam Grove is a small and quaint farmhouse surrounded by picturesque scenery. You will find something new everyday whether you take a left or right out of the driveway. We spent hours taking in the majestic scenery, enjoying local small towns, and even took a drive out to Cherokee County. If you need the time away, like we did, this is it. We’re already starting to plan our next trip!

Beautiful location and cabin. The area offers a ton of amenities so you will always have something to do. Slight hang up with the gate code but the host was able to get us the correct code.

Christian's place was everything we expected it to be! It was a great launching point for all our outdoor adventures in Pisgah. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Everything was sparkling clean. The fire pit made for the perfect way to end the day. Would absolutely stay here again or recommend it for anyone visiting this area!

Gorgeous, peaceful cabin tucked in the woods. Surrounded by lots of beautiful waterfalls and the national forest. Debbie was a great host, super responsive and accommodating! The roads are very quiet so easy to walk any pups you bring with you!

We had a wonderful few days at this mountain cottage. The house is even better than the pictures suggest. It was extremely comfortable and well decorated. Travis was very responsive when I contacted him with questions . All in all an excellent house to rent. Thank you Travis

Sylvie’s home was beautiful, filled with details that made it both functional and homey (eg, a full spice rack, and even lotion). We loved our stay and they even let us extend it for a reasonable fee. The location is amazing — tucked away with privacy, but very easy to get to all the beautiful attractions in the area. Thanks for your responsiveness and answering my questions along the way!

Whispering Creek Cottage has anything you need in the kitchen and the sound of the creek is so peaceful. The decorations for Christmas were lovely. The owners were responsive and kind. When I had to return to Kentucky earlier than I planned, due to circumstances beyond my control, they nicely accommodated the change. Book this cabin you won’t regret it! W e stayed in a beautiful 3 bedroom house in Penrose. Chrystal had everything prepared for us. It is just a hop from the house to the Dupont forest. Lots of waterfalls close by. The property is very quiet and beautiful on top of a mountain.

We only stayed one night but we would book again in a heartbeat if we are back in the area! The space was just big enough for my husband and 1 year old. She loved to play in the loft upstairs, the perfect tiny person playhouse. The thing that stood out most to us about the space was how clean everything was. Especially the hottub!!!
