I stayed with 5 men this time. First of all, the host is very kind and polite. The room was also one of the most beautiful and spacious rooms I have ever stayed in. The equipment was also up-to-date, so I had a comfortable stay. The price is also cheap and modest, making it the best accommodation. If you're coming to Toba, don't hesitate!

AsamaMori : a private onsen villa in Kitakaruizawa

Peng WeeRating, 5 stars3 days ago
A very beautiful and unique find in AirBnb. Lovely traditional Japanese home in a gated area in KitaKaruizawa. Pictures and descriptions are accurate. Quiet and peaceful location. Not too far from Karuizawa town. Would need a car to get around. What stood out in the house was the private onsen. Never found a property like this before. Would return just for that! Some comments (NOT criticisms!) : The only shower area is part of the onsen like an actual public onsen. There are no showers attached to any of the toilets. This might be an issue for some. But this was not a problem for my family. The onsen water temperature was not very hot compared to most public onsens that I have visited all over Japan. Again this was not an issue for us and we thoroughly enjoyed the private onsen. Just a comment. Overall I would highly recommend this property to anyone who enjoys a quiet peaceful setting and a lovely Japanese style house. Host was also responsive and helpful. Thank you.

Have a special holiday! Villa Vacance Kyoto Kizawa (with jacuzzi and sauna) Turn your vacation into a vacation!

RobinRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We were traveling with 2 couples and had a car. After 2 weeks of busy cities and small guesthouses, we wanted a home we could cook dinner, linger at the dinner table, sit outside and play board games. We found that surprisingly hard to find in Japan. This home was modern, comfortable and has it all to hang out as a family or small group of friends. It’s on a busy road but you don’t hear it at all. But it did let us sit outside and play mellow music and enjoy the evenings. Osam is a host in an old school way, checking in regularly to make sure you are enjoying yourself and to offer assistance. The location is relatively close to Nara Park, which is worth a day. It’s a long 1 hour drive to either Kyoto or Osaka, but we spent half days at both and were grateful to go “home” to Osam’s place at the end of the day. Worth staying 3-4 nights to relax and explore this part of Japan.

Outdoor resort with a superb view of Mt. Fuji, sauna and bath, BBQ terrace, private villa, 10 minutes by car from Izu Shuzenji

吉田Rating, 5 stars6 days ago
In June, I stayed with my daughter, her husband, and our grandchild, a total of 7 people. Before the stay, we were given clear information on how to use the sauna and BBQ stove, and recommended spots in the neighborhood, so the preparations went smoothly, and the sauna was warmed up immediately after arrival, so everyone was able to relax. It was cloudy, so I was looking forward to seeing Mt. Fuji, but the neighborhood was very quiet and you could hear the birds chirping and enjoy forest bathing. The interior was very organized, and the kitchen in particular was fully equipped, so if you plan to bring ingredients, you can cook your own meals. Also, there were small children, but there were also toys, so they were not bored, and they were happy to enjoy the fireworks outside. Shuzenji Onsen is about 15 minutes away by car, and after we soaked our feet in the footbath, ate, and walked around the hot spring town, we bought ingredients and firewood nearby and headed back. There are shops nearby where you can shop, so it was very convenient. Excellent job this time!I had a fun time with my family in the rich nature.I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity (^ ^)

Kyoto's Renovated Machiya - Ieno House

By Japan's standards, Kyoto House is palatial. The outdoor tub and garden are as luxe as it gets. And it's a genuine 80-year-old property to boot. We got a really great deal and even though it was still expensive, was worth every penny.

We stayed with 10 people, including two infants, one kindergarten, and one elementary school student. The living room, balcony, bath, and kitchen were all spacious, comfortable and fulfilling. Especially the BBQ on the balcony was great and the equipment was great and comfortable. There was also a business dishwasher, which was helpful because the burden of washing was small. There are 4 bedrooms, including the Japanese-style room, and it is comfortable for multiple families. The espresso machine in the living room was also good. I'd love to stay again.

Great place for a couple people traveling through Kyoto. smack dab between many different restaurants and shops as well as a 711 less than 300 feet away. The location is amazing. the house itself may present itself as smaller to the average American but it fit our needs very well. just be sure to watch your head if you are tall as some of us were. Other than, that this place has plenty of room and a a great balcony hangout/getaway to u wind after a long day of walking . Great communications and fast response times makes this host an A+.

The host was also very polite, and the advance exchange was quick and reassuring. The host explained various things about the location, and I had no worries. I also appreciated the local recommendations and various restaurants. The izakaya they introduced me to had delicious local fish sashimi, and all the other dishes were great too! Relaxing in the hot springs, eating delicious food… I had a very satisfying stay.I'd love to go again. Thank you!

The room was very clean, spacious, and had a very open feel. Unfortunately it was raining on the first day, but I was able to enjoy myself in the room, and the next day it was sunny so I was able to play outside to my heart's content. There are also plenty of bedrooms for large groups, so I'd love to use it again if I get the chance.

[Windmill] A hideaway-style rental villa (2LDK) where you can feel in harmony with the natural environment, with a terrace overlooking the sea and free WiFi

PattiRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The place was beautiful and peaceful. Really enjoyed the heated pool (still cool in early June but better than the ocean!). The shower and heated tub were amazing. Just a stunning peaceful place to stay. Grateful we had a car so we could get to the beaches with waves. The little town was still a little sleepy as the summer season had not yet fully kicked in and so many things still closed except for weekends. As English speaking folks the lack of any english instruction for the appliances or even the written house rules was a bit challenging. The house is modern and beautiful. Communication was very engaged prior to arrival, but after our arrival the responsiveness to our questions and concerns was poor and could be improved upon- particularly when we were concerned about their property (a leak) and the check out lacked instruction, so we had to improvise.
An open-plan kitchen and dining area feature large windows allowing natural light to fill the space. A spacious kitchen island with a built-in sink and modern appliances complements a wooden dining table surrounded by six chairs. The hardwood floor enhances the warm ambiance.

It was a clean facility that made me feel rich. They were considerate of our check-in time, and even though we only stayed for a few days, we had a great time. Also, they handled things politely and quickly, so I was able to stay with peace of mind in that respect. Used by a family of four, Although it was used by fewer people than the capacity, If you use it with 6 people, I think it's pretty good value. When it's high season for going to the sea Booking may be difficult, but When it's time to put it in the sea or pool I want to use it again.
