Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Tōkai Region

It was a great location, 5 minutes by car to Halenire Terrace. I stayed for a week, and it was very clean and had all the dishes, and I had a very pleasant time in a lovely cottage. I would love to stay here again when I go to Karuizawa.

We loved our stay at Masa’s place. It’s authentic Japanese house, well located and very comfortable. We were Teo families - 8 people total (4 adults and 4 teenage kids) and it was enough space for everyone. Masa was very responsive and even came in late on the first night to accommodate our request. Matsumoto castle is a 12’ walk from the house and the main shopping street with many cafes 5-7’ walk. We felt right at home, yet very Japanese :). Matsumoto is a highlight of our trip to Japan in large part due to a unique home we stayed in. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Masa!

Thanks for your hospitality for 3 days. I was completely refreshed. It was my first time using airbnb and it was really nice to come. I personally admired the details of the equipment, as well as the facilities such as the barbecue, sauna, and location. Cushioned sofas, sleeping bags, couch chairs, and plenty of sandals. It was a small thing, but these made me enjoy it without stress. Thank you again for everything.

The sauna while listening to the babbling of the Itadori River and the birds singing was really great! There were plenty of options for meals, as the kitchen and BBQ facilities were well equipped. It was fully equipped with electrical appliances, and I had a stress-free time in an environment with easy-to-understand manuals. It's beautiful wherever you walk on the large grounds, and I really wanted to stay here for a long time🏠 In addition, the owner was very polite and responded quickly, so I was able to relax. It seems that it will be even more worthwhile if we stay for consecutive nights, so we would like to stay for more consecutive nights next time! I think this quality and price is exceptional, even if you don't stay consecutive nights. I don't want it to be too well known, but I want to recommend it to everyone😊

Very nice guest house in a quiet neighbourhood. In the morning we woke up with a gorgeous view into the garden and singing birds. The interior was tasteful and traditional. Sachiko was very friendly and kind! ☺️

It is a log house that is supposed to be for a large number of people, but we enjoyed it even with just the two of us!You will be impressed when you arrive at the building as pictured.I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity!

It was such a beautiful home and the views from every part of the house were just stunning. We love it alot and enjoyed our stay there. The place was full of amenities and we are so grateful for all the little details that the host has put in to making it feel like home. Definitely needed a car to reach the place. We will come back one day!

This place had everything you will need for a comfortable stay that some Airbnbs don't have like ample supply of trash bags, laundry detergent and the little things I noticed like a sewing kit, nail cutter, cotton buds, lots of hangers in diff sizes apart from the usual like good brand of toiletries and toilet/tissue paper. Near the train stations. 17 min flat walk to Dotonbori. Nice restos nearby and a Lawson just at the corner. Seamless early checkout procedure and we left out luggages in their extra room in the building since our flight was at night. Will highly recommend and use next time. Thank you Ms. Anita❤️

Yuma's place was in a great location by the train. A 7/11 is close and the home is very well equipped. The washer was a big plus. Beautiful place.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment in Kanazawa! The space was cosy, clean, and perfect for our little family—ideal for a couple traveling with a child. The location couldn’t have been better, with easy access to everything we wanted to see and do in the city. What really made the experience stand out was our host, Takara, who was incredibly warm, helpful, and quick to respond whenever we had questions.

Great location, very easy access to city centre shopping dining. 納涼牀grade patio, great for breakfast and night drinks. Lots of cool air, no need for ac on summer. Host Ken quick response and service. Can help book restaurants.

Communication is very good and the condition of the accommodation is good.

Our second stay here, this time on the top floor. This apartment remains a very good choice in Osaka and we were very comfortable. The apartment is spacious and generally well equipped, bedding and pillows are luxurious and air conditioning works well. The location is perfect, in a relatively quiet residential area but with easy access to convenience stores, Namba and Nipponbashi stations plus Dotonbori and Shinsekai areas. The host responds quickly to messages and sent comprehensive check in instructions. We were able to check in a little early as the room had already been serviced which was a bonus for us. When returning to Osaka, we will definitely stay here again and can fully recommend it to others.

The place felt like home. It"s really worth it. Will definitelt go back here.

It was very beautiful, and we had a relaxing time in a nice, comfortable space.The kitchen was easy to use, and it was fully equipped with speakers, projectors, etc., so I enjoyed cooking and staying with friends.I'd love to use it again.

It was a very luxurious place to stay, with everything you could want in a completely private space. The place was very clean and stylish. The quality and location of the sauna, jacuzzi, infinity chairs on the wooden deck, and large bath were perfect, and we had the best experience as a couple who love saunas. If I had to say one thing, it's that while the kitchen is very well equipped, the optional meals are not that great, so I think it would have been better to bring our own ingredients and cook ourselves.

Staying at Matt and Maya’s beautiful home was an absolute treat! The property exceeded expectations and was a wonderful tonic after six days in Tokyo. We caught the Shinkansen to Ueda and hired a car from the station, driving was super easy and having the freedom to explore the region was brilliant. Matt gave us great ideas for day trips, we saw castles,cherry blossoms and waterfalls, played in the snow and ate great food. As a host he was always responsive and helpful and we really did feel ‘at home’. We stayed four nights but wish we had stayed longer, I highly recommend a stay at Matt and Maya’s home if you want to get out and explore the Nagano region.
