On the edge of The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley, this cosy getaway is a professionally converted and exquisitely decorated annex to our main property. This conversion was completed in 2022. PLEASE NOTE... You are welcome to use the woodburner during the summer months (May - Sept inclusive) but I do not supply firewood during this period. Please bring your own supplies of firelighters, kindling and logs if you would like an inside fire during the summer.

Karen and Clive were excellent hosts. Dovecote Cottage is a great place to stay, well equipped set in lovely gardens with an abundance of wildlife. Ideally situated for exploring The Cotswolds, Malvern Hills etc. we would highly recommend.

Robyn made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. we used the jacuzzi and made use of the games room. lots of outdoor space to sit and take in your beautiful surroundings. Had a wonderful week at The Retreat. John’s directions and instructions were very clear. The accommodation was larger than expected and was well equipped. It was the perfect location for us to explore the surrounding area. The bottle of milk and wine in the fridge were much appreciated.
