Light the wood-burning stove and settle in for a cozy evening in front of a movie at this intimate detached cottage. Take a stroll down the leafy drive, curl up with a board game, then snuggle up under the eaves for a restful night's sleep.
“We really enjoyed our stay at Simon Doey’s place. We have stayed in many Airbnb places over the years and our stay here was the best experience we have had. As hosts ourselves we can appreciate the time, effort and thoughtful touches that were put in. The place was in a delightful and quiet location with a lovely homely feel to it. We would quite happily return and thoroughly recommend it.”
NUMBER 18 IS DEEP CLEANED, DISINFECTED AND SANITISED BETWEEN EACH GUEST. I OFFER SELF CHECK-IN AND SELF CHECK-OUT. A pretty cottage, sleeping 4 + baby, situated in a village, ideally located to explore the local area and many interesting and historic places. Close to Bath, Bradford on Avon and Longleat. Train stations close by for travel further afield. Well behaved dogs welcome. Gardens back and front. Parking. I offer a warm welcome to all guests.
“This is a great little cottage. Gillian had taken such care with the cleaning (given uncertainty around staying somewhere during COVID this was a particular comfort to us) and the little touches like fresh flowers, milk, jam and homemade scones really made us feel at home. The check in/out was very easy, the location quiet, but close enough to Trowbridge/Bradford that it is very easy to drive to pick up groceries/go out for drinks. We also loved the little back garden with table and chairs for breakfast in the sunshine. The bathroom is downstairs, and the stairs are steep, both of which is as expected for a cottage of this size and period but perhaps not ideal for those less mobile/with children, but no issue for us. Excellent stay all round- thanks Gillian!!”
Sweet little Grade ll listed cottage tucked away at the top of Catherine Hill in the oldest part of Somerset market town Frome. Moments from the heart of the town but quiet and secluded. Open plan ground floor, exposed beams, stairs up to mezzanine bedroom .
“We used Helen’s place for a night before a visit to Longleat and it was perfect. Helen was lovely throughout, booking was simple and she was in touch in advance with recommendations of places to go and eat. These were all based around the ages of my girls so had obviously taken time and thought. The cottage is lovely, very well looked after and perfectly cosy. My girls shared the double and I slept on the sofa bed, we all got a good night’s sleep. Helen had left bread, juice and milk which made breakfast very easy. Frome itself is lovely, plenty of shops to browse around and lots of pubs/restaurants for options to eat. We had a great star, thank you Helen.”
