Family-friendly vacation rentals in Slidell

This was exactly the right choice for our small wedding. The home and yard were ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. Everything was easy to find in the home, the home was so inviting too! Just really had the best time, everyone in the family that attended also loved it. There were nothing but compliments! And Dick was probably the best host I've ever had. He was on top of things communication-wise! I thank him so much for everything. He really made my wedding so perfect.

We really enjoyed our time in Gulfport. Lori's place is beautiful. The view was amazing. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and we both slept great. The pool was nice and everyone at Sienna was very friendly.

This was one of the comfortable airbnbs we have stayed in. Spacious apartment and the shower was large and beautiful with fantastic water pressure and temperature. Memory foam mattress and lovely pillows (not flat, not feather, not super thick!!!). Appreciated having a water boiler to make tea easily. The TV was a bit outdated and small, but did the job. Great communication with Jim. We loved waking up to the sound of singing, happy birds outside! ***this review above is for before our last night there, which we couldn't stay because a fire burnt the house severely and ruined almost all of our belongings with water and smoke...clothes, shoes, electronics, makeup, etc. But this is not the fault of the owner and I feel terrible for him, and for us, and wanted to write a review on how great the stay was before this tragedy.

We loved this place from the second we walked in! The tiki vibes were immaculate, and we especially enjoyed the record player and playing the ukulele. It was very cozy, quiet, and close the the bus and streetcar, which was perfect for going to the French Quarter. We would absolutely love to stay again the next time we're in town. Bonus: there's a very friendly stray white cat that lives around the corner who greeted us every time we walked by ❤

Dawn was extremely helpful and the AirBnB was excellent - thoroughly cleaned, secure, and with plenty of space for my family. We would absolutely stay here again.

I woke up this morning in my own bed so sad not to be on New Orleans—more specifically Stephen and Heather’s place. Their home is fabulous. Tons of character. Lots of room to gather with family and friends or just hide away with a good book. The pool is great with many outdoor places to sit. Thank you Stephen and Heather!

Love the okra Inn such a beautiful historical home. Way more room than expected and super cozy for the family. Would return for next trip.

What a lovely place for a romantic getaway. So many things to do in walking distance. We will certainly return!

Space is exactly as described in a really lovely, artful part of the city with easy walking/biking/running to the Quarter or the Bywater neighborhood. Lots of green spaces nearby. Wifi is fast and great for remote work. Lots of restaurants and places to enjoy all around. Kitchen amenities limited as mentioned by hosts, so bring your appetite for enjoying out! Good to consider for longer stays perhaps.

We had a fantastic time exploring NOLA while staying in the bywater. The place has a cozy historic feel. We loved all of the local art on the walls. It is close to several shops, bars, cafes, and crescent park! Our hosts were very responsive and we would come again!

We had a great stay and felt right at home. The bed was comfortable, and the space was very roomy. Very cool historical home. While the neighborhood isn’t one we’d choose to walk around at night, we never felt unsafe during our stay. The location was incredibly convenient to everything we wanted to do in New Orleans. We would definitely stay here again! The host’s were very nice as well!

Great stay! Only gave the check-in one less star because the instructions gave a specific color of the gate and it was a little confusing since the house next door was actually blue and the gate was not. Wasn’t terribly hard to figure out but just sometime maybe to update for future guests :) I felt very at home in the space heaving just moved out of New Orleans. Would stay again 1000%. Beautiful, beautiful space.

If you want to experience authentic New Orleans vibes in a 100+ year old shotgun, this is the place. The location is near plenty of bars and restaurants without being in the middle of the quarter. The owner was fantastic, and you can tell he put some love into this house. We got in late and had a minor issue, thinking he might respond the following day. Not only did he respond immediately, he fixed it within 15 minutes. We would absolutely stay here again.

Nice place in a small quiet town. Loved the peacefulness . Virginia was great and always quick to respond.

We had such a good time! This rental is so close to the beach and amazing restaurants. Highly recommend renting bikes and cruising around town. ☺️

The house was just what our family needed for our trip to NOLA. The location is perfect. It took us about 15 minutes to get to wherever we wanted to go. There are plenty of restaurants and markets close by and within walking distance. The neighborhood was friendly and felt very safe. The house was just as described and was a nice place to come back to after a long day exploring. The hosts supplied so many things that are often forgotten by travelers. The pool was a welcome respite after a long hot day. The house provides plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. NOLA definitely has its own vibe and this house allowed us to feel like the locals during our stay. Thanks for sharing.

Tamarin and Steve were so kind and thoughtful with details. We enjoyed the art on display in the guest suite, and the pool was lovely. The garden and porch rocking chairs made it feel like a quiet little oasis in the middle of the busy city. Close to everything, especially Superior Seafood, our daughter’s favorite place for pomegranate mojitos and everything on the menu. We also love Bearcat for breakfast. The guest suite is filled with antiques and repurposed materials, so eclectic and fun.

We love staying here. It’s located near a lot of restaurants and things to do. Place is clean and we love the pool right outside the room.

We enjoyed our stay so much. When we arrived I had to contact Anna about specific directions and she immediately responded. The condo was just enough room for my husband and I. It was clean and well stocked with anything you could need or might have forgotten. She had a binder available with loads of things to do and restaurants. We were able to walk to the beach which is right across the street. We would absolutely stay again and recommend this place.

The place was more beautiful than the pictures. Lydia came and greeted us. Let us know if we needed anything to let her know place was immaculate will be returning.

GREAT GREAT GREAT place to stay! Worth the money! Very nice gated community, spotless inside the home, friendly neighbors, and the pool was only a few feet away! Great for a family or friends trip! Will definitely be staying again!
