Lake house vacation rentals in Slidell

Great place to stay with a boat. We had a great time crabbing and fishing. Great restaurant and bar right down the river with abundant wildlife. The house had everything a person could ever need to have a great time. Even had crab pots and crab cooker ready for us. Covered boat parking was fantastic for the few showers we had come through. Will absolutely book here again for more adventures and great family memories.

This large, lovely home with all it’s amenities, was just as described and photos were accurate. They even decorated it for Mardi Gras and welcomed us with a delicious King Cake and treats. Hosts went above and beyond with responsiveness and meeting any need. He even went and bought us a new blender within minutes of telling him it wasn’t working. It was more than enough private spaces for our group of 7 adults as well as large living room to gather. Mattresses and pillows were super comfortable in every bedroom, including daybed and trundle beds. Large master bath had 2 showers and a jacuzzi tub. Lots of nice towels. Plenty of space in the kitchen and places to sit and eat or visit. Quiet area in a cul-de-sac with lots of space outside including a great views out the front from the large kitchen and views of the open backyard and the bayou right out back. Lots of parking for cars in the private driveway. We had three and could have fit even more. We would certainly stay there again!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. We came down for a family wedding, and the house was perfect—beautifully decorated and incredibly comfortable. The instructions provided were clear, well-placed throughout the home, and made everything easy to navigate. Katie was super responsive and helpful, even though we didn’t end up needing much assistance. Everything was smooth from start to finish. We’d gladly stay here again!

We had such a wonderful time at John and Karen’s place. They are wonderful people and great hosts. We had an amazing time with them as they took us around Madisonville, showing us a few great spots. Their place is so beautiful and relaxing. It’s magical. We came from California so staying here was an adventure, so different from what we are used to. We fell in love with Madisonville. Thank you John and Karen for being so attentive and welcoming. We can’t say enough and you guys and your beautiful property. Can’t wait to be back for a visit or maybe be neighbors. Precious place! Had all amenities that made it feel like your personal weekend getaway. Had a swarm of flying termites come in during the night but no one has control over Mother Nature. Large yard to accommodate boat & truck. Will definitely be back!

We loved our stay, the kids caught tons of fish off the dock and Keary was really helpful and friendly - just flat-out good people. Highly recommended!

Nick was very responsive, friendly and accommodating. The home was cozy and clean. The property and bayou scenery was peaceful.

Wanted to take a trip to visit my dad’s grave, at the Veterans National Cemetery in Biloxi, and make a fun little summer vacation trip for the kids. Wined down was located in the perfect spot. The pool and dock helped keep the kids entertained. Wined down also had plenty of entertainment for the stormy days. We felt like we were home and will definitely be back.

Beth was the most AMAZING host we have ever had! She’s professional, courteous and so accommodating. Made me feel right at home with a friend I had known forever! Thank you my lady for having us and can’t wait to be back💜

David and Cassondra were very gracious and set the house up for a good time. My sons fished every morning and every evening. We caught crabs in the traps daily. Plenty of tackle and bait shops nearby. It was a 25 minute drive into downtown New Orleans. So the best of both worlds. The house was stocked with spices and condiments. Really enjoyed our stay and recommend it with 5 stars ⭐️

My family and I were looking for a good place to meet up and have some family time. Stephen’s place was great and met all of our needs. We enjoyed the outdoor space and the inside was great as well, plenty of space for the whole family to enjoy. I would definitely come back and repeat!

We enjoyed a wonderful birthday weekend with our family free from work and daily stressors. We enjoyed being nestled in the woods, peaceful and quiet and the shallow swimming area was perfect for our 2 year old grandson.

Very happy with our stay. The house was very nice, clean, and peaceful. We were there for a fishing trip which was very convenient. New Orleans and Slidell are close by and easy to get to both. The house had everything we need to cook and enjoy. The beds were comfortable and clean. No complaints with this house.

Great location to host family in town for graduation. Good common space, garage access and back yard.

This is most definitely a hidden gem. The pictures do this house no justice. Very cozy house everything we needed for a great weekend. Very nice decks to sit out on and super nice to be able to use elevator. Also outdoor water equipment available to use 5 stars for sure

Creekside Cottage was a haven of peace, comfort, and tranquility. The setting provided a place for family gathering and laughter, as well as, an opportunity for healing. All of us enjoyed the Creekside Cottage and highly recommend it to anyone!

We had a wonderful stay! The home was exceptionally clean and so well-stocked—everything we could possibly need was already there. The location is perfect: we walked to the beach and to a great restaurant at the corner. The instructions provided were clear and detailed, which made everything super easy and stress-free. Our stay at The Gator Den was perfect! The Airbnb was exactly as described. It was clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of air conditioning with the hot weather. We had a wonderful time and it was a spot we would book again.

We booked this last minute for the Taylor Swift concert in NOLA. It was perfect. Lots of room, comfy beds and so peaceful! Would definitely no truly recommend if in the area!
