Had a lovely week in Monksilver. Garden was great for the dog. Lots of trails for running / hiking. Property was perfect for either 2 or 4 people. 5 min walk to Notley Arms pub which had good food and very friendly owners. Would stay again. Beaches at Minehead only a 15 min drive, Dunster Castle 10 mins drive and Taunton 30 mins.

Would absolutely recommend this accommodation to anybody. Lovely caravan with all the amenities you need. Paul was very proactive with any questions I asked. Definitely the best we have stopped in.

Suzy’s place was utterly magical. The house is beautifully presented and has everything you need; we would happily upsticks and have moved in permanently. It is located in a quintessential Somerset village, Stogumber, which features a lovely pub and community run shop. I would highly recommend booking!

Gorgeous Quantock Cottage

DanielRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a fantastic stay. My wife and I, along with our two young children + 2 dogs loved the location. The surroundings are stunning, especially if looking for somewhere quiet, secluded and close to nature/long walks. The property was excellent inside and out and exactly as described. We met the lady who owns the property, who was very helpful and friendly. Would love you stay again in the future.

Peaceful cosy retreat, views over Quantock Hills

HayleyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was our second time staying at The Milking Parlour and once again, it was absolutely lovely. The place is spotless, cosy, and full of charm—perfect for a relaxing break. We really appreciated the helpful book Hilary provided with local recommendations. This time, we took a drive out to Lynton and Lynmouth, which we chose from the guide. What a beautiful and quaint little area—definitely worth the visit! Whether you're after peace and quiet or something a bit more active, the surrounding area has some stunning walking trails and scenic spots to explore. We couldn’t recommend The Milking Parlour highly enough, 5 stars 🌟

Spacious apartment in Bicknoller

We needed a bolt hole for a night out with some family and chose Linda's place for proximity to where we were going. It is a lovely spacious clean and tidy flat above the owners property with beautiful views over the garden and open countryside. Instructions are very to the point but tell you what you need to know and what to do and not to do! Linda gave us three recommendations for brunch the next day and we went to the Rocking Horse in or near Stugumber which we loved. We will stay again hopefully when we return to the area in September for another night out with family.

The Hay Loft

HarrietRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I only stayed for the 1 night so it was short and sweet. I messaged the couple about some things and they were very responsive and friendly. The room was lovely and the bed was comfortable. Some nice touches with amenities like books, games, tourist information, pastries and different types of teas and coffee including a coffee press which I appreciated. There was also a microwave with other kitchen wear, plates, cutlery and the likes stored away in the cabinet for use. The surrounding area was quite remote and very peaceful. I enjoyed watching the swallows fly around which were nesting in the adjacent garage/sheltered area. Going outside to use the bathroom didn’t bother me. It was very close and the bathroom itself was nice enough. I didn’t stay long enough to use the shower but noticed they had provided some miniature shower gels. Check out was 10am but they kindly told me they didn’t need to clean up till midday and I could check out later if I wanted. Overall good experience.
