Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Saint-Michel-en-l'Herm

Thanks so much to Jean-Louis and Joël for hosting us!! Very clean accommodation, very neat and also completely as described!! You don't need anything other than your clothes... We met Joëlle and Jean-Louis with whom we were able to chat for a few minutes, very friendly and smiling people!! If we come back to the area we will come back without hesitation!! The accommodation is spacious and the garden is very pleasant. We had a great time with 6 adults and 2 children. It is located about 1 hour from La Rochelle and 15 minutes from La Tranche-sur-Mer. I recommend this accommodation as much for the layout of the garden which makes it very charming as for the comfort of the bedding and equipment (billiards, spa, barbecue, etc.)

The cottage is a peaceful oasis: in the middle of nature and surrounded by animals but kept at a distance. It matched the photos: nicely decorated with this marine touch and well arranged.

Brilliant family holiday, accommodation was exactly as portrayed in the pictures and description. Marina who completes the check-in/checkout is great and very helpful. Will hopefully be back.

We spent a week at Marine’s property. It is absolutely beautiful. The interior is immaculate and spacious, whilst the outside offers a quiet private space with a gorgeous pool. The property has some lovely fields surrounding it, so great for summer walks. We enjoyed taking day trips to surrounding areas - especially La Rochelle Vieux Port. Very beautiful. Marine has been the perfect host, always available to answer any questions etc. We will definitely be back. Thank you so very much for the perfect stay and your kindness.

Pleasant accommodation, simply tastefully decorated, clean, close to the city center on foot, very pleasant and friendly owners... i recommend it.

Celine’s house was lovely and extremely well located. The lovely restaurants of La Flotte and the local market were a short walk, and we loved biking around the island. The house itself is gorgeous. We will definitely return!

A peaceful place, remarkably well located both for going to the center and as a starting point for going to the beach / beautiful marsh. Functional equipment. Everything is there and operational. Pleasant terrace, you can get everywhere on foot and/or by bike. A beautiful place to discover or revisit the island

A very nice apartment overlooking the harbor entrance - located between the Ketten and Laternenturm. The property is located in a beautiful old house made of white limestone. The apartment was well ventilated by many skylights and the slopes make the apartment very charming. There are a variety of restaurants in the immediate vicinity, a beach is 5 minutes away and downtown La Rochelle is also a few minutes away. We arrived by train and did a lot on foot or by rental bike. The property is also within walking distance of the train station.

Well what a fantastic few days we had. I can’t stress what a fabulous house this is. It has everything we needed. Little garden and off road parking. It was spotless. Stéphane gave us a bottle of his home made apple juice. Absolutely delicious. Buses were very handy and very inexpensive. I can’t praise Stéphane or his house enough. A little gem of a find

The studio was perfect, well-equipped and close to La Rochelle. I would recommend it.

Everything was perfect. Sylvie is very kind with a very warm welcome. For your information, brioche, juice, tea or infusion, coffee, sugar are available, convenient for the 1st day. We'll be happy to go back.

A very central and comfortable apartment on the first floor. The location at the market and close to good coffee shops and restaurants is perfect. The kitchen is well equipped, a nice shower and use of a plug in fan for hot evenings. The second bedroom is smaller but we didn’t use this. Baby facilities of a cot, changing table etc also very useful. Thank you Clotilde!

Excellent location: The accommodation is very clean and functional. Dominique is welcoming and accommodating. Special mention to the bedding, which is very comfortable. Ideally located, the residence is very nice, Saint Martin en Ré is a charming village. I would highly recommend it.

Pleasant accommodation overlooking the lake and sea, really peaceful and quiet. Parking space, clean accommodation and all the minimum necessities. Walking distance to the beach in less than 15 min. And Pauline is very responsive by message. I recommend it. Thanks 😊

Corinne is such an amazing and responsive host, and her place was exactly what we needed. Would 100% recommend. A bit about the apartment: it looked exactly as described, comfortable and clean. Its location probably can’t be better since it was right by the pier of Saint-Martin, a very charming and calm village. Now, the real stars were the hosts. Corinne herself was very responsive and proactive and even though she wasn’t there at check-in, she arranged for a family member to not only be there and greet us, but also drive us from the La Rochelle train station to the island. She also called the bus company to confirm our bus time upon departure and was kind enough to allow a later check in so we had a place to leave our belongings while waiting for our train. Overall, amazing hosts. Thank you!

This is the perfect location (for 2 people) close to the coast and a few kilometers from La Rochelle. The house has a private small garden, is very tastefully decorated and the kitchen is equipped with good kitchen appliances. Two bicycles are available for trips in the area. Axel is a very considerate host, who is always available for questions or any problems. Recommended!

Ideally located, this accommodation is perfect for discovering the Ile de Ré and its beautiful landscapes by bike (rental next door, friendly). The added bonus is the sauna. Beautiful decoration, well-equipped. Good communication with the host who gives good advice. Parking right across.

Maryse is a very nice and available host and she is also very accommodating for check-in and check-out when possible! The apartment is ideally located. We rented for our 3-day weekend and we did everything on foot! The parking space is a big plus. We highly recommend Maryse and her property! You can go there without so much as a second thought, you won't be disappointed! Very eager to return to La Rochelle in this very beautiful property, tastefully decorated and so well located in La Rochelle!

Hi, My parents loved the stay, quiet, really close to the sea, no noise at night or during the day. They liked everything they did and especially going to the beach on foot. Jean Michel and Christine responded to their request very quickly and efficiently. They were happy and came back relaxed and soothed from their stay. Which I think they'll be happy to do again. i highly recommend it.
