Places to stay in Scurlage
A fabulous holiday cottage based in the quiet village of Cheriton, nestled in the North Gower peninsula. The cottage has a double bedroom, bathroom with shower, kitchen, living room and further sleeping space in the upstairs mezzanine, which is accessed by a space saver ladder. The barn also boasts a private garden with patio area and a private Hot Tub.
A lovely self contained holiday cottage which has been newly refurbished. The cottage has underfloor heating throughout. A handmade oak ladder staircase offers access to a mezzanine bedroom above. Exposed oak timber throughout. The holiday cottage has a private garden area and boasts a private hot tub for guests.
The cottage is located at the top of the village which means that there is plenty of peace and quiet, especially at night. The barn is located at the roadside which offers easy access. There is very little road noise though as the road is very quiet at all times. Parking is available next to the barn with gated access onto the road.
  • Amazing property and stunning location to explore the gower. Cannot recommend highly enough!

** DUE TO COVID-19 WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING ANY BOOKINGS ** Our house has been lovingly hand made using reclaimed materials and a unique, inventive design. We have an open fire in the living area to keep you cosy and in the winter evenings Outside we have a large garden space with multiple seating areas and a BBQ for those long summer nights Our home is perfect for a cosy romantic getaway, a catch-up with old friends or for a family treehouse adventure, kidds love it! We allow dogs £10
Home of the designer builder of the solar showers and recycling ‘Reclaimator’ at Glastonbury from late 1980’s and first ‘Green Gatherings’ Passive solar designed for natural winter heating/summer cooling and a TMSthermalstore Our Beautiful Eco-Home, nestled in the treetops of Three Cliffs Bay, will tantalize your senses and make you feel OH so at home. Hand made from logs and recycled materials - There is love in the walls. Designed to maximise internal space but minimise the external (for energy reasons) – Is truly like an eco ‘tardis’ The house is 4+ bedroom, however not in the conventional sense - Two bedrooms are on upper mezzanines (hence the 4 dbl beds) and the 5th bed is a single in a cozy annexe snug. Be aware that the house is open plan and privacy limited - so if you are all on holiday 'together' as a group - one big family, then Treetops is perfect! Just let the tree trunks and flickering flames from the open fire sparkle the earth pigment lime washed walls to create a timeless atmosphere! Space - I lived here happily with my partner and two kids for many years, and we have even had groups of 10+ people stay. Kitchen - recently refurbished, open-plan so you are all together, with fridge, toaster, kettle and a new oven & hob (2019) - enough equipment to cook up delicious dinners! Bathroom - shower with water heated from solar, wood or gas. Cosy & homely, and perfect to wash the sand off beachy feet. Bedrooms - Two downstairs bedrooms, both sunny and bright, with curved hand carved walls and beautiful wood. Two mezzanines, one alice-in-wonderland, up a spiral staircase, which kids absolutely love. The other over-looking the sitting area, for more responsible monkeys, and a grand view of all that is going on. Outdoor - There is a open patio with a large table, a barbeque, outdoor fire pit, and large outdoor sink..perfect for washing wetsuits! Also surfboard storage, padlock points for bikes (cable type locks needed) and covered places to drip dry wetsuits & clothes. The garden sweeps upwards over terraces, spaces for yoga, apple trees and paths of sea shells. Our home makes a beautiful romantic getaway for couples, wine in hand, logs crackling on the fire and with no disturbances. For families, Treetops is a weird and wonderful adventure house, children love the magic of the mezzanines, the tree trunks running through the house and the excitement of the open fire, more communal than televisions! The open plan space allows for a real sense of togetherness. It is also wonderful for groups of friends meeting to catch up and have a good time! However we must add that we are not the house to use for a wild party as we must respect our neighbours. Sound travels to their house quite easily so noise must be kept to a minimum during the night. I.e. no loud music... Sorry!!
Treetops is more or less as close as you can get by car to Three Cliffs Bay. You can walk to the famous Pennard castle with it's glorious sunset views over the river and beach, within 5 minutes. The beach is then a further ten minutes from there. Around the corner is another beautiful beach, Pobbles. By car you can quickly and easily access all of Gower's award winning beaches. Treetops is on Sandy Lane, famous for it's hippy vibes, open minded and down to earth people, its green spaces and quirky hand built homes. It is a special place, famous to many people, and a real getaway from the hustle and bustle of normal life. An experience in itself! Nearby are farmers markets, the busy fishing village of Mumbles, with many shops, cafe's and restaurants, and the Gower Heritage Centre. Pubs are within walking distance (one only 5 minutes away, perfect!) Padlock points for bikes (cable type locks needed)

  • Lovely location lovely place.

  • We were looking for a quiet getaway & Gilli's place ticked all the boxes - we had a lovely couple of nights at her beautiful place in the Gower in March. The weather was Scottish style driech, so not much of a view, but being inside was very pleasant with the log burning stove and central heating. Also well stocked with games, books and all the essentials. Plus a very welcoming welcome pack! The house is extremely comfy and spotlessly clean with beautiful clean white linen on the comfortable big bed and some rather nice paintings on the walls. Even though the weather wasn't great we had a go in the fab hot tub after a fantastic lunch at the Michelin-starred Beach House restaurant on Oxwich beach. Also worth mentioning the local pub, The King Arthur. And local Post Office with Welsh cheeses and bread. Gilli is making every effort cleanliness/coronavirus-wise but still greeted us warmly (from across the garden gate at a safe distance). Highly recommended and thank you.

  • We were meant to travel to Berlin this weekend however, due to the uncertainty of not being able to fly home we booked this wonderful air bnb for 2 nights. I can’t express enough how wonderful Gilli & Michael’s home is. Absolutely beautiful. Sparkling clean. Gorgeous views. Lovely touch with the fresh bread, jams, butter, coffee and milk. We even had the opportunity to soak in the hot tub to star gaze and snuggled up with the log burner in the cosy living room. The bed was extremely comfortable. The only downside was that we didn’t want to get out or leave. We will definitely be returning!! Thank you so much ❤️

  • What a beautiful Airbnb, very comfy and homely. The cold weather didnt put us off using the hot tub (which was already turned on when we arrived so no waiting around) and the log fire was the perfect way to warm back up afterwards... Gilly and Michael were the perfect hosts, very friendly and on hand when required both in person and quick to respond to messages. We were welcomed with some essentials provided (Bread, Milk, Tea, Coffee, etc...) The King Arthur pub is only about 350 metres from the house, where we had some lovely food and sunk a few drinks, good atmosphere and very welcoming, highly recommend... We will definitely be looking to come back to enjoy your lovely home again. Jon and Bex.

You’ll have a bedroom, ensuite shower room and your own private separate kitchenette in our colourful Californian style bungalow. Both rooms lead off the front door which we don’t use so you don’t have to enter the main part of the house unless you wish to. We are in a convenient & quiet location for visiting Mumbles, Gower and Swansea; it’s 5 min walk from beach & coast path, 10 min from shops, cafes & bars of Mumbles & 10 min drive to the Uni. Free Parking next to house.
You’ll be staying in a cosy bedroom with a very comfortable double bed and a private ensuite shower room concealed behind a mirrored door. The chairs and headboard are upholstered in Caroline’s own textile designs and one wall of the room is taken up by fitted wardrobes which you can use to store your luggage and clothes in during your stay. We have recently installed a separate private kitchenette with a sink, fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery opposite the bedroom. It’s fully functional but it’s a work in progress as I take the time in between hosting to hand decorate the walls! Both the bedroom and kitchenette are at the front of the house next to the front door. We don’t use the front door and to give you more privacy we keep the inner door to the main house closed. As some guests have commented its like having your own private suite! You’ll have your own set of keys and you don’t need to enter the main house unless you wish to sit in the garden. Our property was built by an architect as his own home in the 1960's. He’d spent some time in California and the design and layout is inspired by a Californian bungalow, the type you see in a David Hockney painting! It is built around an outdoor swimming pool which takes up most of the garden and the south facing verandah gets so hot in the summer sun that we grow our own grapes. You’re welcome to sit in the garden. Please note that the pool is not fenced off so the property is not suitable for very young children. The house has been featured in many publications - as a progressive project during and shortly after it's construction and more recently for it's beautiful setting and unusual and colourful interior. It was also in an article entitled 'Airbnb in Wales: 17 of the most beautiful, quirky and interesting places you can stay' Our hosting experience was published in the Airbnb UK Insight report 2018. We also have another ensuite bedroom in our house on Airbnb which is occasionally available. It’s called ‘Artists studio with en-suite nr beach and village’ This is the link https://www.airbnb.com/h/californiainwales
If you want a few days to relax, walk, eat, drink and leave your car, the beaches, coastal path, castle and village of Mumbles are all close by. We are in a convenient location on a very quiet road road with easy access to the amenities of the area. Turn left out of the front door and it takes 5-10 minutes to walk to Rotherslade Beach which is sandy and pebbly with a cafe serving breakfast, lunch and coffee all day. 5 minutes walk round the corner to the right is Langland Bay which is a larger sandy beach, popular with surfers and paddle boarders. It is renowned for it's beach huts, palm trees and Surfside cafe on the beach. There is also a good restaurant, Langland Brasserie, at the far end which has an outside deck and is great to sit outside on a warm summers evening. If you continue on the coastal path, it'll take you about 40 mins to walk from Langland to Caswell beach where there is another cafe on the beach. If you're lucky you may see some seals on the way! Turn right out of the front door and within 10 minutes you'll be in Mumbles with a good selection of shops, cafes, bars, Oystermouth Castle, and Joes Ice Cream. The closest access to the coastal path is at Rotherslade Beach from where you can walk around the Gower Peninsula, taking in Caswell, Oxwich, Rhossili and Llangennith. If you have less time you can walk the cliff path in the opposite direction and head towards Mumbles, taking in the Lighthouse, pier and lifeboat house on the way. There is a list of restaurants, cafes and bars in your room along with plenty of maps and information on the area and suggestions of where to visit. If you fancy surfing we can recommend the Progress Surf School in LLangennith which provides all the equipment and lessons for groups and individuals. If you are staying to visit Swansea University or Singleton Hospital the walk along the prom will take about 40 mins or 10 mins in the car.
  • We had a fantastic stay! Lovely place, exactly as described. The bedroom was a good size and well presented. The kitchenette had a fridge, kettle and toaster (plus tea bags/coffee etc) and there was ample parking. Everything was very clean and the host was really knowledgeable about the local area, giving us plenty of tips. All in all a 5 star experience.

  • Caroline and Brian's place is so lovely. I felt safe and at home and the house is so beautifully and uniquely decorated. They were so hospitable and welcoming, truly lovely people. We stayed in March for only 1 night and the only negative is that we couldn't stay longer! Rotherslade beach is gorgeous and a short walk from the house, there is a direct bus into Swansea just outside of the house and you can walk easily into Mumbles - the location is perfect!! Thank you so much Caroline and Brian, we hope to be back soon!

Bright and airy coastal house a few minutes walk from the no. 1 beach in the UK! Totally relax with some sea views, spectacular walks in national trust land all around, wonderful secluded beaches accessed across farmland, and a very well equipped, spacious home. This is my own home so not pristine luxury furnishings, rather beach house attire that is robust.
Very bright and spacious with 4 double sized bedrooms (2 King, 2 twin), large open plan sitting room and kitchen diner with Aga style cooker, sea views and very tranquil location. The property is not a commercial let and price at less that £20 per head is designed to reflect that. Meant for fun family relaxation without having to worry about things. If you want 5 star luxury with new furniture then this will not be the place for you.
Outstanding natural beauty with beaches, cliff and hill walks and wild ponies. The whole area is national trust owned to maintain its secluded perfection.
  • We had a wonderful family weekend at Kate's house. It was lovely and warm with sea views and within walking distance of the sea. It was very well equipped and very comfortable. It had a lovely big double room upstairs with sofa's and TV with a view of the sea with onsuite shower and toilet. We would highly recommend staying here.

  • The house is far more roomy than I expected. Beautifully clean, spacious, warm, beds very comfortable. Great sea views. Very practical flooring if you have a dog with you. Well positioned for walking the coast path and the local scenery is quite spectacular.

  • Such a beautiful house with so much space. Everything around is so close with just a short walk to Rhosilli Bay. We will definitely be going back!

    Keith2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful house with perfect glimpses of sea views. Well decorated with cosy touches and a very well equipped kitchen. Cooking on the Aga was an experience in itself! A safe and secure garden for dogs and children. Walking distance to beautiful beaches and countryside walks., plus cafes and museums etc etc. Perfect!

    Dawn2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best, most relaxing time at Kate’s place. The accommodation felt homely, and had the most amazing sea views. It’s situated just a short walk to Rhossili Bay, where you will also find great places to grab a coffee or have a bite to eat. Kate’s place is well equipped, bright and spacious. There were even games to keep the children amused! Highly recommend

  • We are a family of 5 - 3 teenage children + niece, nephew + sons girlfriend joined us too - so 8 adults fitted fine in this house. We have a tradition of going away between Christmas and New Year over the last few years to go for walks and play loads of board games. This house was ideal for this Had a great time. House was a perfect for us size for us. Wife appreciated the well stocked kitchen, I appreciated the location. We all appreciated the warmth of the house. The mattresses were very good quality too (I have a weak back - so often struggle when going away). Overall - perfect fit for our family. Did 3 coastal walks from the house itself without driving and 1 walk with driving about 20 mins. Nice open plan lounge/dining room/kitchen too. Recommend to any family looking for a base in the Gower

    Neil2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely few days over Christmas. The place was really warm with all the home from home comforts and amenities to make a prefect roast dinner! We were fortunate with the weather as it was glorious on Christmas Day. We especially enjoyed our walk to the beach, which is not far at all. We hope to come back and stay in the summer. Xxxx

  • We had a brilliant stay, it was as beautiful in reality as in the pictures. Everything was exactly as described. The place was so well equipped - it was just perfect. Carwyn was on hand for queries throughout our stay and beforehand. Can’t recommend it enough!

    Emma2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent house and location. Was set up perfectly for our group of 14. Plenty of room to cook and dine together. Really close to the beach and coastal path but also a short walk to the mumbles so no need to use the car.

    Kris2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place

    Sarah2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We have booked Carwyn’s place for New Years getaway with kids and friends (15 of us all together) and we had fantastic time. Location, facilities and communication with the host was excellent. We were looking for somewhere where we can all fit and be comfortable with all the toddlers and babies and Carwyn’s place was just perfect for that. There is a beautiful beach near by and you can walk to town in 10 minutes. All in all we would highly recommend.

    Eva2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • I booked the house for 2 nights for a surprise party with friends in November. The house is very spacious and comfortable and within minutes of the beach. We all wanted to stay more, it is very comfortable inside and there is plenty to explore outside. It is obvious that much attention has gone in creating a place of such high standard and with a small living area upstairs a large group of 15 can stay for longer without being on top of each other. I have contacted the host to highlight a few things that needed attention in the kitchen as it is probably the most used room in the house and was told that all will be addressed shortly. I highly recommend Langland place.

    Marion2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a family gathering. Plenty of space. Usually a guest house, the whole house can be booked. We were 13 including kids. Only downside was lack of twin beds for the kids on the top floor - it just gets a bit awkward with teenagers, but we managed. Other than that, the house is great, hosts are good. They suggested Chai Deli for catering, who did a great job for us. Overall, highly recommend

    Charles2019-10-28T00:00:00Z

Sadly the bungalow is not suitable for wheelchair use due to a restricted access Small children are welcome however no cot/high chair is provided.
The Gower Coast is renowned for its spectacular beaches and coastline. The cliff top walks from beach to beach are a must. The beaches are soft golden sands. This is a dog walkers paradise. Port Eynon is only minutes away and has a beautiful sandy beach with a large area to search through rock pools when the tide is out. Three cliffs bay is another stunning walk through woodland following the river along the estuary to the sea. Parking is at the Shepherds general store and cafe in Parkmill. The beaches of Rhossili, Oxwich, Llangennith and Llanmadoc are all nearby. A must visit is the village of Mumbles with its wonderful ice cream parlours. You have to try the local Joe's ice-cream in Oystermouth which is next to Mumbles.
  • Great value, lovely bunglalow. Quick drive to amazing beaches.

    Sharon2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place does what it says on the tin. We stayed there for 4 nights, which enabled us to spend the whole of Xmas with family in Port Eynon. Clean, tidy, good facilities in the house, good value and conveniently located.

    David2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely ideal for our weekend in the Gower. Friendly communications with Richard, easy to find and access via the key safe. Weather wasn’t in our side this time but not to worry as the heaters kept us toasty warm.

    Tom2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • A very clean and well equipped cottage. I would recommend this accommodation to family and friends

    David2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is clean and well presented. It has everything you might need. We stayed here with our two children (3 years and 3 months) and our collie dog. We went off season at the end of September and the holiday village was lovely and quiet. The soft play is good and clean and the play park is ok for toddlers. We didn’t go swimming in the pool on site so can’t comment on that. The nearest beach Port Eynon is sandy and pretty and Rhossili only 10 minutes away is stunning. The weather wasn’t on our side but we still enjoyed our stay. The cottage has a bath and a shower. The shower is lovely and warm. The water for the bath stays hot enough for one bath and then probably needs to heat up again. There are lots of spare blankets. All the kitchen appliances work well and the kitchen has everything you need including cleaning products such as washing up liquid. The tv is easy to work and has cbeebies and normal channels. It was torrential rain one of the nights we were there and the kitchen and bathroom windows leaked. However, we mentioned to the owners and they are aware and the windows are being replaced soon. The owners were easy to communicate with replying promptly and let us know we could get into the cottage early too as it was ready for us. They left amazing touches too to make us feel welcome, a welcome message and some beverages in the fridge. Very thoughtful hosts. The beds were comfy. It was very easy to stay here and we would stay here again if we were to visit this part of Wales again.

    Rhiannon2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place to spend time in this special place of nature. The amazing beaches make this area very desirable so it’s pricey. With small kids the ultimate joker is the free heated indoor pool and hot tub that is only a minute away. The pool is really warm and the hot tub is hot. So we spent every morning there and went to the beaches after lunch. The house is very roomy for it’s size. The kitchen is fully equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The fake fireplace makes it cozy and dry on rainy days. The kitchen window occasionally offers the view to rugby training or a game and sunshine when it’s out. As the location is at the almost end of the Gower peninsula it is not ideal to explore other parts of Wales as there are only backcountry roads leading to it. Getting to three cliffs bay alone takes 20 minutes. Swansea is 35 minutes away. But there is world famous Rhossili beach around the corner and the whole coastline is absolutely breathtaking and every day offers a different walk.

    Johannes2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • A beautifully presented little bungalow, spotlessly clean, well equipped, and in a great location for exploring the Gower. The kids loved the swimming and there were lots of other families on the site so they had other children to play with. Rich and Sue were perfect hosts - communicated really well and left little extra touches which were really appreciated. We had a lovely stay - thank you!

    Naomi2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely house, spotlessly clean and stylish. We had a great stay, the pool and soft play were really convenient, the area is stunning with some fabulous beaches just a short drive away. Comfy beds and everything we needed on hand.

  • We had such a lovely time. The check In was so easy, when we arrived there was a bit of a hiccup and the cleaners hadn’t arrived yet, we messaged Ainsley and she was absolutely outstanding, she replied instantly and was so apologetic and arrived within 45 minutes while we was our getting dinner. By the time we was back she has cleaned the entire place herself and it was absolutely spotless. She even left some amazing little touches and a bottle of Prosecco to apologise. What a great host, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The place is amazing, so modern and had everything we needed for a weekend away, salt, pepper, oil, all the kitchen equipment needed, towels, plenty of DVDs to watch, an amazing guide to the accommodation and the area around and tons of recommend things to do, just to name a few things. We couldn’t have asked for anything else😍 it was a perfect getaway for a wedding we was attending nearby

This 18th Century Grade 2 Listed renovated Chapel provides a lovely and airy place for a couple to spend some quality time. The Chapel still contains the stain glass windows along with the pews now being utilised as the wooden floor. The open plan kitchen and living room focus on the vast log burner which blends seamlessly into the mezzanine floor containing a double bed and shower room over looking the vast living room space .
The vast floor space and high ceilings lend Y Chapel to spending time round the vast log burner in the winter months. In the summer months the close proximity to the beautiful beaches of the Gower, most reachable within 15 minutes, means you will want to keep returning to explore the area tome and time again.
A lovely rural setting nestled in the heart of the Gower providing quick access to the many beautiful beaches.

  • Clean place with good amount of amenities provide. Very good location next to the coast. Room was abit cold when entering but portable heater and extra blanket was provided. I would recommend and will return if in Swansea again.

  • All my needs were met at Nicola's place. I required something very last-minute, and was checking in within an hour of completing my booking with no problems. The room was clean, spacious, and had ample storage. TV and WiFi worked great, and the toilet areas were kept to a clean standard. Those staying in other rooms can be a bit rude and disrespectful, with their noise easily travelling through the house late at night, but we can't choose our neighbours unfortunately! Overall a great value, comfortable stay near the sea.

  • A beautiful well looked after annex. Comfy bedding, quiet nights, modern bathroom, well equipped kitchen. Would suggesting following Google maps to the farm opposite to find it. The hot tub was great, went in every night in pitch dark and looked at a super starry sky. You do have to go out the front and round the side to get to the hot tub area so may be worth bringing an extra towel or robe and a pair of flip flops! I would recommend Louise's place to others, enjoy!

    Steph2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely stay in a beautiful spot. We were greeted with a welcome message on the little board in the kitchen and some home-made brownies which our kids devoured! We didn't get to try out the hot tub but the wood-burning stove in the living room was very much appreciated. Information and practical guidance second to none.

  • Louise was a lovely host, very welcoming and the cottage was perfect! So many little touches that made our weekend very special, from the homemade brownies to the fluffy towels. The cottage was everything we wanted for a relaxing weekend away. Despite the horrendous weather brought by storm ‘Dennis’ we still braved the hot tub which was a great addition to the already perfect cottage. Thank you for a lovely stay, we will definitely be returning :-)

  • Louise's place is adorable and a perfect location near Fairyhill for my cousin's wedding. We loved all the amenities, and the place was as clean as a whistle. It was so comfy and cozy. The stairs are a bit dangerous if you have children, however that was a child safety gate, and no issues for us (no children). Louise and her partner were so lovely, and very helpful! They provided towels, fresh eggs, and homemade brownies amongst many things. We will certainly be coming back! Also the hot tub was a great addition.

My home is 10/15 minute drive to the centre of Swansea. Beautiful Mumbles is close ( 1.3 miles), as are many award-winning local beaches. I am on a bus route. We are on the edge of the stunning Gower Peninsular and near to breath-taking walks, parks, art and culture. You’ll love my beautifully decorated home because it is a large sunny south-facing quite house and overlooks country views with wild horses. I have a gorgeous relaxing garden. My place is good holidays and business travellers.
Gorgeous White Company and Laura Ashley bedding is provided along with Jasper Conran and White Company towels. Breakfast is not included but you are welcome to use the kitchen. You have use of the dinning room/ conservatory which has garden views. You can make teas and coffees at any time. Please enjoy the garden; we back on to a common with wild horses. There is a private garden gate leading on to the common for you to walk on to and enjoy the wild life. You will enjoy a new, large family bathroom, all designed with Porcelenosa. The bathroom is very occasionally used by us and sometimes used by another guest, should the double room be in occupancy.
Quiet street, house backing on to beautiful country views.
  • A beautiful, clean and stylish home. Jet is a brilliant host and provided a very warm and friendly welcoming. Room was very pleasent and comfortable, would stay again.

  • The best Airbnb Experience Ever! As a seasoned global traveller, who has stayed in many Airbnb, VRBO and rented homes, I hands down, must say, that staying with Jet and Ben was at the top of the list. Fantastic location, ridiculously good value, the most gorgeous home, truly gracious, warm and caring hosts with tasteful, stylish touchs, and the grooviest, clean amazing people, super comfy beds, view of the sea from my room, fab kitchen, tons of hot water, LOVED the bathtub with the small and double room and lush bedding for the most peaceful sleep, the beautiful garden and just a hop and a skip to Mumbles. Absolute gift to find this place at a price so reasonable, I'd have never expected all I enjoyed here. What a gift for a traveller. Jet recommended the best restaurants, yoga, nightlife and was genuinely warm and so welcoming. There is no where better and the warmth and welcome of the home will feed your soul without ever being invasive. I'll be back often. So good x

  • The room was so cosy and had a beautiful view over the garden and towards the sea. I felt so welcomed and at home - a fluffy white towel had even been left at the end of my bed which was a lovely thoughtful touch!

    Kara2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Small cozy room in a beautiful spacious and bright house. Comfortable bed. Local stores. Residential area, quiet. Warm welcome from Jet, who is good advice. The Gower Peninsula has several places of great beauty. I recommend.

  • I enjoyed my 2 nights stay here very much. The room is so beautiful, very quiet and calm with a view on the sea and the garden. They had really good recommendations for me to explore the Gower peninsula that is adorable and I would love to come back here to explore it for a bit longer. It's super easy to arrive here and you have a lot of shops / restaurants around Swansea and The Mumbles. The house is lovely and everything is clean - way better than I expected! It was one of my best Airbnb experiences, thank you for everything!

    Michèle2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great host and place. I would come back.

    Gulam2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely single room in a very nice house, clean and comfy. I didn’t see much of Jet, but she was a lovely host and communicated well the whole time. Generally a really nice place to stay.

    Andrew2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • This house is lovely. Deceptive from the front as it backs onto complete countryside and has a great outside area that we were invited to use. The house itself is beautifully presented, clean and well maintained and the welcome from the host Jet was very friendly and welcoming.

  • This is my second time staying at Vicki's and it is always a pleasure. Easy check-in, comfortable room in a stylish space and access to tea and coffee. Vicki is a great host providing local tips but giving her guests their space when they need it. I would highly recommend a stay at hers if you are visiting the Swansea area for either work or fun.

    Rebecca2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Vicki's place is a comfortable space and is conveniently located for both the motorway and local amenities with Swansea centre a bus ride away. Vicki is incredibly friendly and hospitable and was available to answer any questions I had about check in or the local area. The bed and room were warm and it was very much a home away from home. I would recommend to any traveller in the Swansea area.

  • Great place to stay, my room was accurately described, comfortable, private & quiet being at the back of the building. Shower & loo on each floor were clean. Great to have use of the well equipped kitchen with laundry facilities and downstairs lounge area. Lovely relaxed feeling of independence than if I was staying in a B&B with hosts and rigid house rules etc I’m used to booking Travelodge but this little gem will get my business again and again. Thank you Nicola for a lovely stay.

The farmhouse which, was built in the 19th century stands in a walled garden , near the village of Rhossilli. The location is peaceful and idyllically rural. The farmhouse is a ten minute walk through unspoilt countryside to Mewslade Bay, one of the most picturesque and secluded beaches in Gower.
Lower Pitton Farmhouse offers outstanding self-catering accommodation. This spacious property has everything for a relaxing holiday in Gower. This booking is for a bedroom with two single beds. The room also has wardrobe. All bed linen and bath towels are provided. Guests should provide their own beach towels if needed. There is no kettle or tv in the room but these can be located in the shared part of the house as described further below. The farmhouse has 4 other bedrooms that are also on offer to rent and can be found as different listings on airbnb. I do not over fill the house and like a sensible number booked in to allow max comfort. I usually allow 3 rooms to be booked at any one time to allow each room to have there own private bathroom. THE SHARED PART OF THE HOUSE: The interior comprises of a large hallway, large utility room, kitchen with a table that can seat 16 people, two lounges one with open fire and the other with wood burner. That I can light if required. There is a lighting charge. There are three bathrooms each consisting of a toilet, a hand basins, two bathrooms have showers only one bathroom has a shower and a bath. There is a fully furnished kitchen that you can use but you must clean up after yourself and put everything away after use. There will be complimentary coffee, tea, milk and sugar. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the pans, crockery and cutlery you would expect. The electrical appliances include a cooker, toaster, kettle, microwave, dishwasher and 2 fridge freezers. There is also a washing machine if required but again there is a charge to use this. The kitchen and conservatory have Wi-Fi. There is central heating throughout the house and a space to store bikes, canoes, surfboards etc. The farmhouse is set in a beautiful large country garden with sun decking, BBQ area with an outdoor table and chairs. The upper garden is flat perfect for garden games such as boules, badminton and football or for just chilling and relaxing.
  • Yes I’d recommend Mark. He is honest about air bnb and the place was great. Also Wales is a beautiful country which should never go missed

    Mark2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic family run bed and breakfast, or Airbnb depending on how you book. The owners are a friendly and very welcoming. The location on the south west end of the Gower is ideal for accessing the coast as well as further in land. Its peaceful but not isolated. Phone signal can be hit and miss, but the farmhouse has WiFi. The farmhouse is warm and clean. The rooms are well appointed and the shared facilities are clean and tidy. Pleasingly, the water pressure in the shower is really good

    Eliot2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Mark is an exceptional host; he literally saved my friend and I by guessing where we might be in a torrential down pour and offering us a lift back. It could not have been more appreciated by us both! The farm house is lovely; there are several rooms and we shared with some other friendly guests which was good fun. It was great to be able to cook there too. It's a short walk down to a beautiful beach and the coast path and Mark gave us directions and tips. I'd definitely book here if you are coming up to the Gower, and we will certainly be back!

    Sarah2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • The location is fantastic; a short walk to the spectacular Mewslade Bay and 1km from the stunning Rhossilli with its incredible sandy beach and stunning Worms Head nearby. The place was spotless, peaceful and practical. Mark was an attentive host.

Local shop was handy but a bit pricey! Excellent location with lots of beautiful beaches nearby as well as plenty of nice places to eat out. Marina was always easy to contact and replied quickly. There was a problem with the toilet which was resolved very quickly. Thanks for a great holiday!

  • You’ll receive a warm welcome to this clean, but small accommodation. We would have liked a dishwasher and washing machine, but there is a laundry room on site. If you are looking for value accommodation with no frills but with most things you need and that accepts dogs - this is great. We had a lovely stay in the Gower with this as our base. Marina is lovely and there is free use of the swimming pool on site.

  • We had a great week at this holiday bungalow with a wonderful on site pub playing bingo twice a week and onsite swimming pool and pay to use tumble town soft play for little ones there is a laundrette and fish and chips and a local shop all very helpful and decent. • We had a lovely stay at Number One. It was warm and cosy and our little boy loved playing with the games and reading the books. It's so close to so many gorgeous beaches too. We definitely recommend it.

  • Great base to explore the beautiful Gower area. Cosy accommodation with everything you need.

  • Absolutely wonderful chalet to stay in, we stayed 3 nights and sorry we didn't stay longer, on arrival some lovely welsh cakes and milk which was really nice after our long drive, the local shop right beside the chalet has a great array of goods, the on-site pool was really good, always nice and warm and also quite, the jacuzzi was hard to get out of really relaxing, there is also a launderette on site which is very good and also the indoor soft play area for toddlers and kids was very well done and the whole holiday village is very well maintained the workers were out everyday maintaining it which is something you don't see in other resorts. The chalet was perfect, very clean everything you would want, an array of dvds bigger than a video store, the kitchen was perfect all items would need and the bath and shower etc absolutely perfect the whole place just felt very homely and the host was lovely to deal with, theresa really was helpful from start to finish. The area of the gower we really enjoyed, from the lovey beach at Rhossili on the perfect day we had was really good, just be ready for the steps down to it. As another reviewer mentioned the sunset is really good from the bay off Rhossili we travelled over 2 evenings to watch the sunset and It did not disappoint breathtaking views that I only ever seen before like it over in Santorini Greece this one topped that and only a few miles from the chalet. We hope to return again and really enjoyed our stay.

  • As a family of 5 we had a fun filled stay in the Gower. The Chalet bungalow is on a quiet site on the Gower Penisulsain in Scurlage. It was clean, well maintained and had loads of touches that made it very homely. Everything you need but forget to take when you are away. We regularly went to the site pool which is kept at a warm temperature, my sons also enjoyed the hot tub which was located next to it. Scurlage is a quiet tiny village but if you like the outdoors and beaches its a great place to go. We enjoyed the surfing on Llangennith Beach and walking at Worms Head and Three Cliffs Bay. Thank you Threasa for being a wonderful host, the regular communication and a clean and well miantained chalet. We do not go back on holiday to the same location as there is loads to see in the UK but if we did we would definitely stay here again. Thanks for helping to make a great holiday with great memories.

  • This bungalow is small, but perfectly formed and in a great location. It is really well equipped. My kids especially appreciated the selection of board games (my son might have become slightly obsessed with the Rubik’s cube). We all loved the fabulous beach at Rhossili, and the being able to borrow the beach equipment provided was a lovely touch.

    Sarah2018-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect space for a family or groups. The bungalow is very well equipped and has all the necessary utensils if you want to cook, for example. Very comfortable beds and plenty of games, books and movies if the weather is not good, when you can also use the indoor heated pool. There is a small grocery store just steps away from the front door and place to park. Strategically well located, just a few minutes drive to the beautiful Rhossili and Oxwich beach.

  • The room is as shown as pics. It's spacious for single bedroom, comfortable and clean. I didn't meet the host, it's self check in /out and I didn't contact him anyway since there's email beforehand that explained the process. Although overall spaces were clean, there's a bit rust and moldy here and there. It's a residential neighborhood so almost nothing to see/buy here. Dollis Hills station connected to Piccadilly line (Heathrow Tube) via Green Park. The only stairs to overcome was on Dollis Hills. Overall it's worth the value. It would be much better if there's any info to use all the appliances or tips here and there since we didn't have any host to explain everything.
