Places to stay in Little Haven
Walk down the wooded valley right from the back door of this restored historic miner's cottage. Period features like flagstone floors and beamed, vaulted ceilings meet contemporary conveniences such as underfloor heating and a free-standing tub.
A lovely spacious cottage with rustic Pembrokeshire character situated right next to the coast. Two double bedrooms, open plan living area, large kitchen and spacious veranda. The cottage is located close to Nolton Haven, Newgale, Little haven and druidston beach. All of which have pubs and restaurants to suit your needs. The cottage accommodates 4 people. There is a good sized master bedroom with amazing views and a kingsized bed. There is a second bedroom with a comfy double bed with an ensuite bathroom. Both bedrooms have adequate storage and hanging space for clothes. The main bathroom has a stand alone bath, which is great for relaxing. The cottage has an office room which could accommodate an extra guest on a sofa bed. The kitchen is fitted with a cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, coffee machine and all necessary utensils. The open plan living room has a comfy sofa, a "42" flat screen TV, record player, books to browse through and a range of board games. The cottage has under floor heating, access to wifi, internet connection and use of a washing machine and dryer. Overlooking the flowery meadow is the south facing veranda which is perfect for watching the dramatic coastal sunsets. The cottage is situated by national trust woodland, so it is not uncommon to see birds of prey, foxes and the residential barn owl.
Situated in the heart of the Pembrokeshire National Park and surrounded by National Trust land, Carren Bach cottage is part of the Southwood Estate. Spot all kinds of wildlife, surf, and discover numerous nearby villages, pubs, and restaurants.
  • Had an amazing 3 night stay in Carren Bach. The cottage is absolutely beautiful, everything is so tastefully decorated. Hot tub is incredible with amazing views. Lots of board games to keep us entertained when the weather wasn't so good. We had absolutely everything we could have needed for a lovely break. Would definitely return.

  • What else to say that hasn't already been said in all of the other 5* reviews? We had a wonderful weekend relaxing and unwinding, even in the rain this place is still magical. As another review said, if you're thinking about booking here, just do it!

  • If you’re after a stunning, secluded location, yet close to amenities, an increasingly space full of character and are inspiring decor and views.... look no further!! We could have moved in and wished we could have stayed far longer. We hope to visit again in summertime. Watching the sun go down in the hot tub was certainly a highlight I’d like to repeat!

  • This property is amazing. No detail is forgotten about and the whole place is stunning. The photos show the property off well, bit don’t do it justice! We stayed during a pretty stormy weekend and the weather actually made the weekend better - the underfloor heating is lovely, the living area is stunning and the light and airy upstairs bedroom has wonderful views, whether the sun is shining or the rain and wind beating down (the feature window!). The owners have kitted this place out so there is nothing you want for, the retro record player was a brilliant touch (along with an excellent and “varied” record collection), as is the coffee machine. Obviously though, the hot tub is the main “extra”, being based in a very cool hut with sliding barn doors so you can enjoy wide views outside whilst being out of the elements if the weather is harsh (as it was when we were there!). It’s amazing to sit sheltered in the hut (with the cool retro decor) whilst the elements do their thing. Would fully recommend this property and we can’t wait to go back in warmer months to enjoy the outdoor spaces (BBQ area, seating deck and lawns).

  • Stayed here with my wife and 1 year old child. Would give it 6 stars if I could, absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend to any couples on their own or with a small child as the under floor heating and cleanliness makes it great for them to crawl around on. The itinerary was great and Emma gave us some ideas for things to do, just think beaches, small towns, coffee shops, pub lunches etc. A must book if you haven’t already stayed here, breathtaking views and you genuinely feel like you’re ’off the grid’ in your own little world.

  • We had a very enjoyable experience at Carren Bach. We wanted somewhere to unwind and escape our busy lives. Emma was a super host made us feel very welcome and very helpful. The place is beautiful and very cosy.

  • We loved our stay at Carren Bach Cottage, which kept us warm and cosy throughout the storm! The rooms were beautiful and the amenities - especially the kitchen - were fantastic. Heated floor was a lovely touch, as was the record player, and we loved the style and decor too - it's clear lots of thought has gone into making Carren Bach a wonderful place to stay.

    Victoria2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a lovely 3 days at Carren Bach. Emma was in contact before we visited making sure we had all the information we might need. Carren Bach was the perfect accommodation, beautifully decorated. We made regular use of the hot tub and record player. We are already planning when we can visit again!

Rogeston is situated in a secluded rural location on a quiet country lane just three miles from the sea and the National Park yet only five miles from the supermarkets and amenities of Haverfordwest. Druidstone, Nolton , Broadhaven and Newgale are our nearest beaches. Being more or less mid way along the Pembrokeshire coast, Rogeston is ideally located for exploring all of the county with its beautiful beaches and attractions for all ages including highlights such as the picturesque seaside town of Tenby and the tiny city of St Davids with its stunning cathedral. There are numerous options for walkers including the spectacular coastal path which runs the length of the Pembrokeshire coast. Woodlands , mountains and estuary rivers provide alternative scenery for walking or cycling. In the spring and summer months a wildlife spotting boat trip to one of the islands is a must. For eating and drinking we are lucky to have the famously quirky Druidstone Hotel with its relaxed and welcoming bar and restaurant ( look out for the regular 'Feast' nights ) only an 8 minute drive or a 45 minute walk from the cottage. The sea view from the garden and restaurant is glorious - the perfect place to watch the sun go down or for a winter lunch. Despite the region's attractions traffic jams are few and far between. Beaches are never overcrowded even in the summer months making Pembrokeshire an ideal destination for a seaside holiday without the crowds. Information leaflets and recommendations are available in the cottage.
  • The perfect place to get away from the hustle & bustle of town/city life! The Stables really is a home from home & we feel well rested & lucky to have stayed there X

  • Highly recommended for a short break. Perfectly situated for Pembrokeshire coast and walks and a lovely bolt hole from the world. Kay has done a fantastic job kitting out and the master bedroom in particular is really comfy. The woodburner is a central part of the experience if cold too! Clean, welcoming and easy to find.

    Tim2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of the world. We were visiting during Storm Ciara but felt completely protected against the elements, especially with the unlimited firewood for the woodburner! Lots of thoughtful touches from the hosts, and helpful communication when storm was forecast to meet our trip :)

    Ben2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Stylish, cosy and in the perfect spot for exploring the West Wales coast. We loved our stay tland the place is really well equipped. Thanks Kay and Charlie for sharing The Stables!

  • My husband and I (and our dogs) stayed at the Stables for 10 nights over Christmas and New Year. It was so cosy and the perfect retreat to really unwind - as well as being close to some stunning beaches and great places to hike. The kitchen was really well stocked and we were able to comfortably cook Christmas dinner. The shower was great and the bed was very comfortable. Kay’s communication from enquiry to booking and throughout our stay was very good and any questions we had were always answered very quickly. Thank you Kay for a great stay - we hope to come back in the future.

    Becca2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • A very quiet, calm and cosy place to spend a week - for me in the middle of winter but still enough sunny days for long walks with the dog and to explore the bay. The place has so many nice touches, and great communication from Kay. Would very much recommend.

A stunning conversion of a 1,000 year old building by the architect owners who have carefully preserved the character of this medieval treasure whilst creating a generous contemporary home with all the comforts and facilities for modern day living.
Walking around the house you are constantly leaping back and forth across millennia… Beneath the fine old Victorian roof is a spacious and comfortable double-height living area focused upon the elegant Stuv woodburner by night, and countryside views through the 15th Century windows by day… Beyond the Romanesque font are the clean lines of a generous dining area overlooked by a modern kitchen specifically designed to include the old oak altar… And overlooking the main entertaining spaces is a mezzanine gallery with two small (4' double) sofa beds and two workstations, leading to two small bedrooms (4'6" double beds here) in the eaves with fantastic views over the Preseli Hills… And if that wasn't enough there is the boutique hotel bathroom allowing you to daydream in the bath looking out through a medieval window!
High Haven sits in good size simple lawn garden - it is in the original churchyard with some gravestones - and because of its raised position at the head of the valley it has outstanding views of the surrounding countryside to the Preseli Hills. This is a fantastic location for exploring the wonderful West Pembrokeshire coastline and its beautiful beaches and coves – only 3.5 miles to the nearest beaches at Nolton Haven and Druidstone Haven for horse riding along the beach, and another few minutes to the charming fishing village of Little Haven and the dramatic expanses of Newgale famous for surfing and land yachting. Our favourites are Settlands beach which you can only reach at low tide from Little Haven (very Famous Five!), and 5 miles to the spectacular Marloes Sands (Guardian 'Searching for the Perfect Beach'). It is located adjacent to a working farm run by very neighbourly John brothers and within the tiny hamlet of Lambston just outside the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, and in the countryside between Haverfordwest and the coast which are both 3.5 miles away.
  • High Haven is a beautiful, relaxing and stylish space. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here and felt very at home. The living space is wonderful, and the kids particularly enjoyed their mezzanine bedrooms/play areas where they could have their own space but still feel connected to us. Bathrooms and kitchens are high spec and well equipped. Bedrooms are very small but we found them to be snug, especially during Storm Dennis when we could hear the wind and rain lashing down on us! We had a private chef cook for us on our last night, Andrea from Chefs on the Run - highly recommended, delicious food in vast quantities and great value. The weather did not deter us from enjoying blustery beach walks at Broadhaven, Newgale and Nolton Haven, and a day out in St David's. Thanks for a lovely holiday!

    Victoria2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • High Haven is an absolutely wonderful conversion. Sympathetic, tasteful and practical. It was absolutely perfect for the three of us and the dog. We thoroughly enjoyed returning to the impressively improved chapel after days out walking. Well equipped and warm at all times. Perfect for a winters break with long walks on quiet beaches and the coastal path. Great communication and check in. Thanks all for a superb visit.

    Matt2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • The Chapel is absolutely beautiful. Location really handy for exploring Pembrokeshire. We had awful weather, but stayed lovely and cosy with the log burner on and played board games for hours. The cows are quite noisy, but got use to it after the first night.

  • It was wonderful, the church is a dream, also in terms of decor. The kitchen was well equipped, the cooking was as much fun as at home. We felt so comfortable that we enjoyed every hour there. Thank you, we'll be back!

  • Very comfortable stay and such a cool, historic place! The church has been restored beautifully and everything was great and as described in the listing. Finding it was a bit difficult at night - I've now added the listing to Google Maps to hopefully make it easier to find: https://goo.gl/maps/iQDDrUVoYy89EsRX8

Cosy cottage with painted stone walls, log burner. This a small cottage which is ideal as a get away space for couples.
The whole cottage is for the guests use. Downstairs is a kitchen area and dining table and chairs and 2 Ikea armchairs and a tv. The shower room is situated at the bottom of the stairs. Upstairs is a cosy double bedroom.
We are a mile and half from Little Haven where the nearest beach is. For shopping Haverfordwest and Milford Haven both have Supermarkets The nearest shop is at Broad Haven which is about 2 miles. As we are in the National Park you are guaranteed beautiful views and lots to see.
  • A cosy little nook to spend some quality time in with Pembrokeshire's attractions on the doorstep and easy to access.

    Anthony2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent and romantic cottage. Highly recommend. A coastal walk around the village of Solva and fish and chips at 35 was a particular highlight.

  • Just spent our 1st wedding anniversary here. Perfect for a couples get away, had everything you needed in the cottage. Definitely need a car lol but we liked the peace 😁 Bev was good host, left us a card 😁 and quick replies to any questions

    Gemma2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Set in an attractive group of former farm buildings, the cottage was peaceful and cosy with its little woodburner, despite the whistling storm outside. Well located for pubs and places to visit, it made a very pleasant out of season get away for us.

    Jonah2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy spot, a quick walk to the beach. We very much enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend.

    Catherine2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second stay in these lovely cosy cottages, and with luck we shall be back again soon. Clean and comfortable and warm, they make great boltholes if the weather turns rainy. The quiet, peaceful space is completely appealing. Thank you so much!

    Ian2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous cottage space. Perfectly placed for Little Haven. Ample space for a couple. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. The heating had been put on to welcome our arrival. Very thoughtful of the owner. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Attention to detail fantastic. Very much enjoyed our stay here.

    Lee2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We booked this on the spur of the moment as we wanted to continue our coast walk. The cottage was part of a group set in a row originally a cow shed Nicely converted into various size cottages. Our cottage was very cosy, ideal for 2. with a comfortable bed upstairs on a mezzanine level. Small but adequate kitchen and a cosy sitting area with wood burner and TV with DVD's on hand. Plus Excellent WiFi. Within about half hour walk from Little Haven but prooved a bit far to walk on a cold dark January night.... Especially after walking all day. All in all... Great stay, Good price. will visit again.

Buzzard is a cosy cottage for two. It comprises of a kitchen area with fridge, oven, hob, granite work tops and a Belfast sink. Then into dining lounge area with TV and wood burner. Round the corner is a shower room with basin and WC. Upstairs is a cosy double bedroom with sloping ceilings and beams. Your dog is welcome as long as they stay off the soft furnishings and you clean up after them outside,we charge £3 per night per dog. The pub is about 25 minutes away on foot.
As the crow flies we are a mile away from the sea, there are lots of lovely beaches close by many where dogs are welcome.
As previously mentioned the pubs are down in Little Haven it is possible to walk down but you are partly on the road and coastal path. A torch would be useful at night to warn people you are there. There are 3 pubs, The Castle a gastro pub where you can take your dog. The St Brides is a more traditional pub offering a good and varied menu but not allowing dogs. The Swan is our favourite, beams and wood burners welcome you and Sunday lunch is always wonderful. Dogs are only allowed in the bar. There is also a holiday camp you pass on the way to the Cottages which is open to non residents for food and drinks.
  • We have stayed at this beautiful haven before and we are now officially hooked. The magical atmosphere of these cottages is just so perfect for restful weekends/weeks away. We live such busy, hectic lives that when we stop and go away we need everything that Bev and Paul offer. You will go once and it will exceed everything you expect and you will return time and time again. Pure magic ❤❤

  • Josh's place was great. Lot's of room & a beautiful location. We didn't get to meet Josh but everything was clear & swiftly handled. The place was clean and had a great, equipped kitchen.

  • A great cottage set just up from the beach. Nice coastal walks either side and pub right out front! Comfy house with pretty much everything you need.

    Dave2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! We loved the setting, the view of the haven and bay, and the privacy. Guillemot is well-equipped, quiet, private and very comfortable. The help 24 hours on hand was reassuring and very friendly. We took our dog, who loved it! Being January, the Brasseries was closed, but the Mariners was open for drinks, and other pubs/restaurants around were open, and we got a Tesco delivery on arrival, which was really helpful. Beautiful beach, slightly scary cliff path (I have vertigo) but all-in-all we'll definitely be back!

  • A fantastic little cottage in an incredible location. We loved our stay here, and are already planning weeks to come back next year. Although the cottage is beautiful, the welcome is warm, and the views incredible, make sure to bring your own tea/coffee so you can relax after the long drive to get there. Also would have been nice to have hand soap in the bathrooms and more than half a roll of toilet paper in both bathrooms - or for this to be stated in the listing. But these are little touches that didn’t ruin our stay in the slightest. We’ll definitely be back!!

    Max2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely weekend stay here. The scenery is beautiful, so close to the beach. Which is clean and great for walks and searching for shells. The cottage was clean and had everything you need while away from home. We would highly recommend a stay here.

  • A lovely cottage in a small terrace of 4, owners on hand in the office, everything you could want is provided and spotlessly clean, wonderful shower and heating system which we needed for our stay 1st week in October great base for Solva, Broad Haven Haverfordwest, Little Haven and of course Nolton Haven is a lovely sheltered sandy beach and the cottage has wonderful views of the sea. The local stable did horse riding on the beach and people were surfing, swimming and kayaking. Some wonderful walks for the dog. A local place to eat was the cafe in Hilton Gardens which did lovely soup and sandwiches, great for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea we also went round the gardens which are lovely but you don't have to pay to just use the cafe a real gem, oh and the dog was allowed in too! A lovely place to stay anytime of the year. Much nicer than the usual dog welcome cottages as you felt the dog was definitely welcome and accommodated rather than being second class guests. well done Jim. Josh and family

  • Bev's place it in a great location for accessing in my opinion the most beautiful and low key part of the Pembrokeshire coastal path. The living area works well and has everything you need and the wood burner is so welcoming all laid up and ready to go. The second bedroom is a bit tiny though. Thanks for your prompt action to fit a new battery to the bleeping smoke alarm.

  • This little cottage is a perfect place to escape for the weekend. We had a fabulous time exploring the coast paths and relaxing by the wonderful log burner. We couldn't recommend this place more highly for a getaway in a stunning location and Paddy and Lou were both so welcoming and hospitable.

  • Stuart’s house is beautiful and the photos didn’t do it justice! Very clean and tidy, well equipped kitchen and plenty of bathroom space. Lovely garden with a stunning view. Would thoroughly recommend!

    Hugh2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we arrived we loved the house and the special touches Stuart and Carys had left for us like a bottle of wine and milk in the fridge. Carys was really helpful in telling us about the area, including telling us about the short cut walk down into the village. Plus the guide book in the house is really useful. We arrived in the dark, so it was such a fabulous surprise when we opened our curtains in the morning and saw the amazing view from the window. The village has some great pubs within an easy downhill walk and is situated right near the fabulous Pembrokeshire Coast Path. We loved staying here and would highly recommend it!

    Emma2019-10-07T00:00:00Z

Small but well equipped twin bedroom annexe with ensuite wet room and separate entrance for guests with own key. Sits centrally on the Dale peninsula - ideal for trips to Skomer island and Pembrokeshire's best beaches! This is an annexe bedroom to our home - a beautiful barn conversion equidistant between Dale and Little Haven. We are far from the madding crowd tucked away behind an old Manor House. This listing is for the annexe bedroom only, not the whole barn.
The Accommodation:- Guests will have a small twin bed room with a contemporary en suite wet room. It has its own separate entrance and guests will have their own key providing privacy and flexibility. It has recently been refurbished and redecorated from an old outbuilding and is full of character and charm. There size of the annexe does not allow for a kitchen or lounge area the room contains tea and coffee making facilities together with a mini fridge. We leave available a simple breakfast of muffins (in a cake tin), granola and orange juice for breakfast which guests have in their room. There is a flat screen wall mounted TV and two arm chairs. There is a walk in cupboard in which to hang clothes and a chest of drawers. To the front is the main garden and a patio by a wildlife pond which guests are welcome to use in fine weather. Location:- We are in a very rural location in the middle of the countryside between Dale and Little Haven although technically we come within the parish of St Ishmaels. To enjoy our home, you must relish tranquillity and remotenss! We live in a converted barn behind an old Manor House, it is accessed via a driveway from the nearest lane. Please do read directions before you come. The nearest village is St Ishmaels (one mile away) with a pub called The Brook which serves reasonably priced pub food (note - in Winter, food only served on certain days of the week). Dale is three miles in one direction and Little Haven is three miles in the other. Both these have excellent pubs serving great food. (Note- The Griffin in Dale is closed from November to Easter) . The nearest towns are Haverfordwest and Milford Haven -10 and 7 miles away respectively. You will need a car as there is no local bus service. Local Area:- The attraction of the area is the stunning coastal scenery, the coastal path and the beautiful beaches of Marloes, West Dale, Little Haven, Broad Haven, Druidstone and Newgale. Further along the coast is the pretty village of Solva and the Cathedral city of St Davids (the smallest city in the UK) which is really a very pretty large village and is well worth a visit. It's about 20 miles away. It is ideal for those looking to stay in Pembrokeshire for a few days and particularly suitable if you are planning a trip to Skomer Iskland. We are just 10 minutes from Marloes and 15 minutes to St Martins Haven where the boat leaves for Skomer. Catering:- Our accommodation is not self catering as the space does not allow cooking equipment or a dining area but if you wish to bring back home made pizzas from Camille's in Marloes and are happy to eat them from your armchair- no problem! (Camille operates from home and makes the most fabulous pizza's but it it is a seasonal facility so please do check with us that is open before relying on a take home pizza). There are plenty of good eateries within a few miles and most if not all of our guests eat out. We leave available a simple breakfast of muffins /pastries (in a tin) orange juice and tea and coffee in the room for breakfast. Another option is to pop up the road and have a wonderful cooked breakfast at St Ishmaels Garden Centre (5 mins drive). Unfortunately we are not in a position to offer a cooked breakfast for guests . Hugh and I are both busily retired, we have two very friendly dogs and a couple of horses! There is parking for one car.
The Dale peninsula is situated in the very west of Wales. It is perfect if you enjoy walking, boating, cycling or surfing. Pembrokeshire is renowned for its beaches and stunning coatal path along the cliffs. We are very fortunate to have some of Pembrokeshire’s best beaches within a stone's throw. West Dale, Marloes, Little Haven, Broad Haven, Druidstone and Newgale are all within easy driving distance. The ferry port to Skomer island is only 15 minutes away. Dale is renowned for its microclimate and is reputed to have more hours of sunshine than any other village in Wales. It is generally mild and very often sunny even when just ten miles inland, it is gloomy with either rain or onimous clouds. There are great pubs close by- check out The Griffin (Dale) and the Castle, St Brides Inn and The Swan (Little Haven).
  • This self-contained, private annexe on a two hundred year old ex-dairy farm is remote enough to be wonderfully peaceful, but an easy drive from any number of beautiful Pembrokeshire beaches and villages. The room has comfy twin beds and a connected, private bathroom. There's wifi, TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge which super-host Barbara keeps topped up with fresh milk and fruit juice, together with granola for breakfast, with delicious fresh pastries every day. Super glad to have found this place on Air B&B and very much hope to be back soon.

    Emma2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara and Hugh were wonderful hosts and went out of the way to ensure our stay was comfortable. The annex has recently been respecced to a high standard, and is warm and cosy. The cottage has easy access to many of Pembrokeshire's gems. We had a superb time!

    Peter2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely secluded spot and all we could ask for. Great for walking Marlowe Peninsula and Dale Peninsula and up to StDavids and the coast there. Recommend pubs in Little Haven and Griffin in Dale when it’s open, check before you drive there 🧐. Warm at home feel to accommodation.

    Mark2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara’s wonderful little unit provides everything you need to enjoy a stay in SW Pembrokeshire. Compact and comfortable, peaceful and well placed for exploring this beautiful corner of Wales. Nice touches and a warm welcome. The wet room is perfect for soothing aching legs after a long walk on the coast! Highly recommended Adrian & Sue

    Adrian2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Really great little place and was just what we needed for a weekend diving late in the season. Clean, simple and most importantly warm! Easy communication and lots of extra little touches, you won't have any problems here!

    Tin-Tin2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • "The Old Diary" is part of a spacious, old estate, surrounded by nature. This would also be the problem named, concerning the journey. It is advisable IN ANY CASE to follow the description of Barbara and not to rely on googlemaps. Once you have found your way, the guest expects an atmospheric and protected facility. This consists of one and a half floor, lovingly restored buildings where the hosts live. The center of the complex is formed by a pond and an outdoor terrace surrounded by numerous flowering plants that guests can use. Beautiful, absolutely quiet and peaceful. The cultivation is as described quite small, but also with its own character. Guests are provided daily with juice, milk, cereals and pastries. We had 5 days of sunshine and a wonderful time at the end of September!

    Barbara2019-09-22T00:00:00Z

Secluded 3 bedroom house just outside the popular village of Little Haven set high above a tree lined valley overlooking St brides bay. A large open plan lounge kitchen with superb sea views, wood burning stove and 2 decks that run the length of the property.
    The views
Set in the lanes around outside Little Haven and Broad Haven, it’s quiet and secluded and there are only a few houses nearby.
  • This is a great place to stay - the space of the huge living room/ kitchen is perfect for a family - we were three adults and three kids but it could cope with more if kids slept in the bunk beds. It would’ve even better in the summer when you could make use of the enormous terraces. Really well equipped and amazing views. We would definitely recommend it. Thank you Justin & Shona.

  • Best place for a family stay in beautiful Little Haven with great views and good privacy.

  • Tree tops is a real get away from it all place. Shone & Justin could not have been more helpful with very prompt replies to my questions. We had a great weekend.

  • Definitely recommended, beautiful place.

  • We had a great week here, the property was just as described. The ground floor bedroom has the en-suite, and the two rooms on the lower level share a bathroom. The house works well for a family, and the covered lower deck means even drizzly evenings can be spent outside. We enjoyed St Brides Inn and the coffee shop on the corner in Little Haven. The walk from the house to little haven and along the beach to broad haven at low tide is worth doing. Takes about an hour in all. Further afield the Victoria in Roch is welcoming and has curries on a Friday evening. All in all this property is highly recommended.

    Sue2018-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, very spacious and clean property, set amongst tree tops with views down to the rolling waves. Bliss. Close to Little Haven with restaurants, pubs and cafe. Great communication and contact with hosts, prompt replies. Loved it all and would love to visit again.

    Samara2017-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The view was simply wow, the kids were hooked on the pool table come rain or shine. The house felt special, but not too much so that we were not able to relax and live there as if it were our own. Only beds being a touch hard for our likings and a shortage of loo roll on arrival to make note of. Happily return there again. Thank you

A cosy, warm cottage in winter, cool and airy in summer, sleeps 6 in comfort. Two minutes walk from the beach. Everything you need for a family break away, or a romantic getaway by the sea awaits. Large, comfortable king sized beds in both double bedrooms, bunk beds in the little bedroom. The bedlinen and towels are all top quality. Sitting room & dining room comfortably seat 6. Fully equipped kitchen & the family bathroom is large and bright. Additional downstairs cloakroom.
The sunny rear garden is fully enclosed and safe for pets and little ones. The front garden boasts a large drive for more than 1 car, parking being at a premium in the village.
Broad Haven is quiet, friendly, with a vast, clean and safe beach. At low tide you can beach walk to the neighbouring village of Little Haven, or go via the quiet coastal road. Both villages boast fab, dog friendly pubs, coffee shops, whilst Broad Haven has a wee convenience store, a chip shop, a gift shop, surf , kayak and paddle hire equipment. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is easily accessed and there are beach, path or woodland walks galore, straight out of the front door. So many activities are on the door step-watersports, swimming, golf, coasteering, pony trekking, fishing, messing about on countless quiet beaches. St Davids, the UKs smallest city is a sort drive or Puffin Shuttle ride away, as is the Blue Lagoon, the Preselli Hills, farm parks, childrens activity areas and Haverfordwest Leisure Centre. Swansea is a 90 min drive approximately, with Cardiff being another hour beyond that, with all the delights they offer-Rugby, football, shopping, concert venues, theatre and the arts, sight seeing. But why leave Broad Haven? It is perfect.
  • Shirley and Dave's cottage was a great place for us to stay for a few days on the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast. The high quality finish throughout the cottage shone out. The bed was large and comfortable, and linen and towels were top end. Everywhere was perfectly clean when we arrived. The cottage was extremely well stocked with everything a guest may need. Although there were only two of us staying (plus a dog) the cottage was large enough to have accommodated a further two adults and two children with ease and without feeling cramped. The village of Broad Haven, and its close neighbour Little Haven, are super places to relax in. Both have plenty of eating and drinking options, both have wonderful sandy and safe flat beaches, and both have lovely walks with views over St Brides Bay. The only downside of our visit was that four days weren't enough! Thanks Shirley and Dave for brilliant stay.

    Warren2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful cottage in a superb location just a couple of minute’s wall from the sea. It really was a home from home and suited our family of 5 for a week away. Thanks Shirley! X

  • We had a lovely relaxing stay at Cowslip Corner, the view is beautiful and property set in a very tranquil and peaceful area. Jan was an absolutely wonderful host and very kind (we had car trouble so arrived very late, she messaged to check up on us etc) plus the breakfast left in the kitchen was superb! Communication was brilliant and Jan sent clear directions a few times, no problem finding the property at all, even in the dark. The room is very beautiful & spacious with everything you could need, from plates to coffee plunger, hairdryer to iron, note pad to toaster, lots of books and a huge local guide folder. There is a small utility/kitchen area, and a fridge where the delicious jam and cold items are left and a sink so you can wash up. Fantastic Airbnb, a much needed short rest, will hopefully stay again soon, can't recommend highly enough. Thanks again!

Nolton Haven is a small hamlet next to the beach on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. The beach is dog friendly year round, clean, shallow and has lifeguards everyday during the summer school holidays. It is surrounded by two headlands which can provide shelter from the wind, or the promise of small caves to explore. There is a stream to dam or paddle in, rock pools to hunt for crabs and sea anemones. Enough space for paddle boarders, kayaks, canoes and swimmers. There is a pub and a restaurant (booking advised) next door. Roch and Broadhaven only a short distance away both have local shops with basic essentials. Nolton Haven is also situated close to Haverfordwest for grocery shopping, and its central location makes it a good base for other attractions.
  • This place is amazing. Everything we needed was provided and we spent 3 cosy days and nights here even though the wind was gusting over 60mph outside! We can’t wait to go back.

  • Beautiful house, stunning location, and the extra touches (breakfast bits and bobs) were all so thoughtful. Absolutely perfect for a cosy few days away!

    Ellen2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend. We were blown away by how amazing The Mill House was. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into every detail, from the lighting down to the utensils (I especially loved that there was a vegetable steamer!). The house was so cosy, especially with the fire lit, and the hot tub was lovely. The location was beautiful and very peaceful. We both believe we could not have chosen a better place to stay and will definitely be back if we are able!

    Zoe2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Mill House is a really special place to stay. It's a beautifully designed house with excellent facilities and a lovely location in a quiet (in early January) cove. But it's the thoughtfulness that stands out - fresh flowers, food to get the weekend started, and everything you could possibly need from bathrobes, to hairdryers in each bedroom, to a bluetooth speaker, to sharp knives. Thank you Ruth and Nick!

    Eliane2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous house, that looks even better in person inside and out. Brilliant location, just moments from a beautiful beach. House was absolutely spotless & lots of little touches to help make our stay (and the dogs) as comfortable as we could have been over Christmas.

    Alice2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at Nolton haven Mill! This place is beautiful, photos do not do this place justice! Perfect little touches around the house such as a welcome pack, fire starter pack, toiletries, Robes, decorations for Christmas, doggy welcome pack and entertainment such as Netflix on the Television in each room. The hot tub was amazing and situated on a private road. This place is right next to a pub - dog friendly, unfortunately the restaurant next door is beautiful however, not dog friendly. Beautiful beach on your doorstep with easy access to the coastal path walks leading to other lovely villages. Local town with shops around 10 minutes in a car. The perfect break with everything you need, we will be back. Thank you.

    Libby2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Mill House is the perfect stay, Ruth provided everything we could possibly need, the house was amazing, the location was great, even the lanes surrounding the hamlet were easy to drive along. We can’t wait to come back again!

Little Haven nestles in a quiet cove in the southern corner of St. Brides Bay in Pembrokeshire and is undoubtedly one of the most delightful seaside villages in Wales. There are three pubs in Little Haven, The Saint Brides Inn by the car park, The Castle on the sea front and The Swan on the path heading to The Point. They all provide food. A small seafront café and a bistro are also available. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority has designated Little Haven as a conservation area. The settlement dates back to the iron-age and was once a base for sea trading and smuggling. Nowadays the safe, sandy beach is well used by inshore fishermen, dinghy sailors, windsurfers and families carrying buckets and spades. When the tide is out, there are clean sands to play on, rocks to clamber over, and a stream to splash in as well as the sea – just what young children want. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path passes right through the heart of the village. The path to The Point is pushchair or wheelchair friendly and provides a good viewpoint. There is a small beach on the south side of The Point called ‘The Sheep Wash'. It was used by local farmers, 50 years ago, for washing sheep before shearing. The Coast Path in either direction provides good walking without too many gradients. Heading south, a moderate walk takes you to the pretty little cove at St Brides Haven. Heading north takes you to Druidston Haven, then on to Nolton Haven and Newgale. This is a tamer part of The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park but spectacular nonetheless. Broad Haven is a larger village with a grocery shop, pubs, café/bar, restaurant and freshly cooked fish & chips to order. For something more energetic, visit Haven Sports and hire yourself some wetsuits, kayaks, body/surf boards and take to the waves. If this all sounds too wet, enjoy a stroll on the numerous coastal paths all on the door step.
  • We had a lovely time at Jack’s cottage. A lovely comfy space in a peaceful setting with a beautiful sea view located up a hilly wooded path from Little Haven. A great base from which to explore the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline.

    Beth2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is lovely, very nice furniture, great decoration, wonderful garden. You can see the sea from one of the bedrooms and from the hall. Great views! You can walk to Little Haven in about 10 minutes. Little Haven is a cosy and pretty little village with a nice beach. We walked quite a lot during our stay in Pembrokeshire and went swimming almost every day. It was a great week. We would love to come again.

    Maren2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic cottage with all the amenities you could want, a well stocked kitchen, a lovely garden to sit out in, WiFi, lots of games and just a short 15 minute walk to Little Haven through the woodland. It was very clean and well decorated, perfect for the 5 of us.

    Abi2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage true to its description. The house is in walking distance to the beach, and local eateries. The house was well equipped with plenty of books, board games and kitchen utensils and was decorated to a high standard. Good communication with the host at all times, would definitely recommend and stay again

    Jaz2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • A perfectly placed cottage for walking parts of the Pembrokeshire Path. With use of the local bus and taxi services we managed a fair bit on our two walking days. The cottage was clean and warm, and a short walk from the village where we were able to catch the bus and get local taxis back in the evening. Cottage was clean and well resourced. Thank you.

    Mark2019-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely cottage with a great little walk down the hill into Little Haven - quite steep but only 10-15 minutes. Lovely view of the sea over the rooves of some other cottages. I loved the bedrooms, very light and airy. Good outside space with garden furniture and a comfortable conservatory. The downstairs floors are a bit cold, so take slippers, but Jack suggests you do this anyway. we really enjoyed our stay and would go back again.

    Jane2019-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet location which was perfect for us. We did two parts of the coast path so this place is a good base. Need a car. Although we walked to the pub for dinner. Beds comfortable and shower good.

    Sue2019-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Holly Cottage is perfectly situated just a short walk away from Little Haven, where you can enjoy walks on the coastal paths, the beach and numerous pubs. The cottage is spacious with a large garden area for you to enjoy. Plenty of amenities available for your stay, from the kitchen, to books and games. We found the cottage nice and cosy. Great week away.

Completed in 2013, Summerhaven is a unique, 3 bedroomed, architect designed eco-house which sleeps 6. From ample parking, it is reached by 40 steps up through the wooded hill-side garden. The house makes the most of the superb view over a quiet wooded valley with a glass wall opening onto a railed balcony. It is built to high eco-standards. It is warm, cosy and fully equipped. Although hidden and quiet, it is only five minutes easy walk from the harbour of the quaint village of Little Haven.
Downstairs Summerhaven has a large open-plan living space with two sets of large glass doors which have a beautiful view over a small valley. It is beautifully decorated and designed in a modern style and includes a downstairs toilet. Upstairs are three good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms with a shower in each and a bath in the family bathroom. There is a balcony around the front of the building where you can sit looking over the valley. The valley is very secluded and full of birds. We leave bird food but recommend you bring some too if you like to watch the birds.
Summerhaven is elevated above a small secluded valley at the back of the quaint fishing village of Little Haven, Pembrokeshire. It is a five minute easy walk from the village harbour. The village is small but has three pubs, all serve good food and are very welcoming. A mile away is the village of Broadhaven which has a small convenience store another pub, coffee shops, restaurants and other shops. There is also a surf shop where you can hire all kinds of adventure equipment. Twenty minutes by car gets you to Haverfordwest where every type of shop is located including a number of supermarkets.
  • Lovely tranquil place in a stunning location....definitely recommend if your looking to get away from it all

  • Such a stylish, lovely, cosy place. Perfect for families. We were there during storm Dennis and we hardly noticed it until we drove anywhere. It really was a Little Haven. I love this place.

  • Great value, excellent location and superb modern space. Will be back for a longer stay.

    Steve2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay if you want some quiet. Large living area with dining and kitchen all sharing the same space. Only about a 5 minute walk to the beach. 49 steps to get to the house which can make it a bit tough unloading and carrying luggage in the dark and the rain, so try to get there in the light hours. Warm and homely.

    Stuart2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really great place. We loved the quirkiness of the building and the views. The local pubs are superb and generally friendly. We would defiantly stay again next time we are in the area.

This is a basic, comfortable and clean chalet in a sheltered location within walking distance from the amenities and beach in Broad Haven. The chalet is quite private in the location of an old stone quarry with a pond and has off road parking. There are facilities to self cater and gas central heating and a shower. There is a shed which has bike/board storage. It is in the grounds of a family home and is pet/dog friendly. A baby/toddler bed with bedding and highchair are available.
The chalet is located in a disused wooded quarry next to a stream and pond on a quiet lane on the outskirts of Broad Haven. It is in the grounds of a family home, but is quite private. It is a 10 minute walk into the village to the beach, shops and pubs. There are lots of walks you can set off from from the chalet.
The chalet is just up a small lane on the outskirts of Broad Haven. It is a lovely peaceful spot, yet it is only 10 minutes walk to the seafront and the shops/cafes and pubs in Broad Haven and a 30 minute walk to the picturesque village of Little Haven. The funky Druidston hotel is a 40 minute walk North on the coast path. Broad Haven beach is a family friendly safe lifeguarded beach and there is a Puffin Shuttle bus that runs up and down the Pembrokeshire Coast.
  • Excellent! Hazel is a great hostess, friendly, helpful, attentive, thoughtful. The house is as described, it is comfortable, very clean, quiet and has everything you may need during your stay. It also has a folder with a lot of information about all the activities that can be done in the area. The location is very good, very close to the coast and the Prembrokeshire Coast Path. We have felt at home! I recommend Hazel's accommodation without hesitation and of course I would return.

Kitchen amenities were great, it had everything we needed. We ate in 2 out of 3 nights. We walked to watch the sunset over druidston haven which was beautiful. We were lucky enough to be able to procure some tasty lettuce from the organic garden and firewood for the beach. We would love to stay again.
