Family-friendly vacation rentals in Rushcliffe District

Location was excellent for our purposes (in the center of the city, few minutes walking distance from the University, the market and the railway station) The host was a bit slow in responding before arrival in the UK, but issues regarding were resolved upon arrival at the airport. Overall the apartment was in good to excellent condition apart from some issues which were considered minor due to the relative short stay of 8 days. (One window was very tricky to open and close, the freezer needed some defrosting, one of the faucets had a broken drainer, no towels or sheets were changed during the length of our stay)

Great stay at Jennie’s house. Loved the location for Sherwood Forest, Nottingham Castle and the Tramway Museum. Kids loved the garden and hot tub and the beds were comfortable. Would recommend.

we had a wonderfully chilled break. Fully kitted out kitchen. hot tub great plus having a private bbq and private terrace was a bonus. animals great fun, plenty of parking. Bedrooms are all spacious and comfortable. would highly recommend and we will definitely come back again.

The most beautiful place, the home was even better than we ever imagined, plenty of space, lovely views and walking trails. Most definitely would book again.

Great stay, the kids loved helping farmer Vic in particular!

The perfect stay! We had a fab time in Amber Lodge and it was kitted out with everything you’d need - the kitchen was super well equipped. The hot tub was a huge bonus and lovely place to chill out in the evenings. The beds were all really comfortable & everything was spotless when we arrived. Farmer Vic was lovely & helped us out when we arrived. Plenty of parking & easy to get to. We had SO much fun meeting all the animals (even as a group of eight 25 year olds) and thought the lodge was a perfect base to visit Bakewell and the surrounding areas! Can’t fault anything and would highly recommend this place.

We absolutely loved staying at The Paddock, Nicky was so accommodating and lovely. She welcomed us in, gave us advice for local places to visit and made it easy to feel right at home. Easy to find and plenty of room to park. We would definitely recommend Belvoir Castle just a short drive away. Thank you so much Nicky.

A lovely stay! 6 adults and 3 dogs stayed here and we had plenty of space. The lodge was comfy and clean and had everything we needed! Lovely location with lots of walks but also really close to Bakewell and Buxton!

We stayed at Maxine’s place for six days due to work, and it truly felt like home. Our dog Domi also loved it and felt completely safe and at ease. The house absolutely exceeded our expectations, it’s so well-stocked that we didn’t even need to go grocery for the first few days! There are plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and parks within walking distance, and parking was super convenient. Maxine also recommended an amazing Thai restaurant — unfortunately, we couldn’t get a table because we didn’t book in advance, but that just gives us another reason to come back! Highly recommend to everyone :)

Steve & Hanri have been the perfect hosts. A beautiful house set in a stunning location that's so quiet. The property had everything we needed and we did all our washing before coming home. There lots of little nooks to read a book. 'What Lies beneath' is a good read! On arrival we were left beautiful treats from the bakery, along with a bottle of wine and treats for our minature dachshund. The garden was a delight with a table and chairs for all the family. The yellow seated area near the rose is a real treat to enjoy a glass of wine or coffee on your own. All the recommendations are on a handmade map and we visted quite a few and we're very satisfied. The local pub 'The Sun Inn' offers the most outstanding food and service. The chip shop around the corner also satisfied our taste buds. Both our children enjoyed the recreation ground court where they played football and basket ball. The surrounding houses are just stunning. A 5* location and 5* hosts. We will be returning again.

This was our first Air B&B experience. If Hugh and his Emma are anything to go by as hosts we will always choose this option over any hotel. They helped us out of the way to make us feel at home. We were in-between selling a house thus required a month long place to reside. With the amount of baggage and luggage we could not have stayed anywhere else. The family let us use their shed space and took the burden off us. The entire property is just "wow". Endless green fields with local habitat, horses in barns, pet chickens and beautifully landscaped gardens around the whole palace like estate. A month is a lot of time but the family was very proactive to any queries or requirements. The dwelling itself has a lot of character, Endless paintings and views to die for. Not to mention the collection of multitude of books. The host had provided detailed information pack about anything and everything. We wish them prosperity and happiness in all future endeavours. Hugh do take a break!

Wonderful short break in John's lovely cabin. Beautiful setting by the river. Loved how everything had been handmade with love which made the cabin cosy and homely. The canoes are great and so relaxing, having a little paddle down the river, the kids loved it. Took a walk to The Bluebell in Hoby for a hearty pub lunch, then back to the cabin where we sat outside till well after dark, toasting marshmallows by the fire and playing Headbandz! Couldn't have asked for a more relaxing family short break away. Thankyou John for your excellent hospitality.

I had a wonderful stay here — the house is cozy, quiet, and full of warmth. It reminded me of my university days in Nottingham, and for a few nights, it felt like I had traveled back to that time. Thank you for creating such a comforting space. I’d definitely love to come back again!

Had a lovely stay here, straight into woods for walking, the horses at the equestrian centre seemed very happy and well cared for. Fabulous pub food within walking distance, farm shops and local attractions were great. Everything you need in the accommodation, we brought our own mobile wifi. Comfortable, would stay here again

By far the best lodge we’ve stayed in. The place was spotless the beds are lovely and comfortable and it had everything you could. We had young children with us and they loved it. The views are absolutely incredible and even better when the sun is setting. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. It’s even better than it looks in the photos! We will definitely be back for another visit. The host are lovely people as well. 10/10

clean, spacious house, nice garden, the instructions are clear though we did still drive oast the driveway on first pass, it is the last driveway before the roundabout, we were just notnquite expecting it. Check in and out was easy. Appeared to be freshly painted (?)

Very nice apartment in a quiet building. Check in was easy with clear instructions. Within walking distance of the city centre and its bars and restaurants. Would definitely come back!

Greenman Cottage was perfect for a short break for us. Cosy but comfortable and had all the facilities we needed. Martha was a great host and easy to communicate with!

Excellent and responsive hosts. A clean and bright space. It is a wonderful place to stay in the heart of Nottingham.

We just left here after a 6 week stay in between a house move and we didn't want to leave! It felt like home immediately and was a real comfort to us during a stressful house move time. The hosts are wonderful, kind people and we are grateful to them for their help and support. Making friends with their dog topped our stay off nicely. Great place and amazing hosts. Thank you.

Steve couldn't have been a better host. From Arrival to Departure steve provided us with all of the information we could need for the area, guided us to parking and our flat and showed us everything to ensure we had everything. Would 100% Reccommend choosing this apartment and would definetely book in future
