Quiet, dog friendly with stunning views.

We had a lovely week at Caroline's lodge. it was such a peaceful location with stunning views and sunsets , you would struggle to beat it . The garden was fully enclosed so ideal for dogs and there were loads of forest walks in the area with some directly from the door and also plenty of other places to visit in the area . Caroline was the perfect host , there when needed, otherwise left you it. I hope to come back at some point

The accommodation was excellent and very clean. Contained all facilities you could ask for. Wet room fab and bed extremely comfortable. Lovely area and surrounding countryside. Many places to visit within easy driving distance.. The local restaurant The Inn On The Wye within walking distance via a footpath at end of the road. Fabulous place to stay, home is beautifully sited in the middle of the back of beyond, with amazing views across the hills. Has a pretty little garden with lovely seating area and large French doors to bring the outdoors in. Beds are comfortable and plenty of options for air flow when the weather is warm. Can also recommend the chippy in Mitcheldean.

Cosy hillside cottage in FoD

We had a fantastic time at Anita’s beautiful home. The location was superb - the forest of Dean on our doorstep, the river Wye within short walking distance, a comfortable house with beautiful views overlooking the village. The locals were friendly with a nice selection of pubs/restaurants nearby. It was nice to be able to take our dogs along, Anita even left treats and beds for them. A nice touch! Anita was a very attentive host, nothing too much trouble. My family had a very relaxing break. Thank you Anita, highly recommended.

Rob and Ellie were great hosts, sent lots of information on local amenities in the area and nice restaurants to try. Check in was easy and the property was a doddle to find. The property was well stocked with everything we needed to make ourselves at home for the weekend.

Quaint cottage, tranquil garden, bucolic views

We really enjoyed our stay at Sophie & Mikes cottage. It was everything we hoped it would be, peaceful, beautiful and really well equipped. The welcome items were very much appreciated and the availability of the hosts was excellent. Thank you for allowing us to sit in your gardens, for making us feel at home and enabling us (and our dogs) to stay.
